Floor 3As the vines wrap around you, separating some of the group from the rest of you, you find yourselves deposited in a small field. A path winds off to one side before splitting in two, while in front of you a much larger field opens up. As it turns out, despite being pulled away from the rest of the group, Fennekin has ended up in the same place as you, just on the other side of the field. "Oh, thank goodness." She bounds across back to the rest of you. "I didn't want to be alone again."It is at this moment that Chimchar stirs, sitting up abruptly with a "Gwaah! Wha-?"OOCAs before, you can heal up to half your max hp for travelling between the floors. You can, however, only heal up to your total max hitpoints in this manner across the entire Dungeon.
And in a reversal of my previous decision, you can heal one Injury for travelling between the floors. This'll apply retroactively, so you can heal one for the 1st-to-2nd floor transition as well. You can only heal up to 3 Injuries per Dungeon this way.

Kyria blinks as Virgil gets tugged away, she lunges at him but it was futile. As the vines recede she looks around and growls, "Not again! Virgil!" Kyria starts to claw at the ground where the vines were, taking out her anger on the dungeon itself, to no avail. She does however look much healthier than before.
There isn't much warning before she starts to run off, presumably to find Virgil and the Numel.

Melanie looks around. "Lost Spoink and Numel, I think. They must be around somewhere." They can certainly take care of themselves, from what she's seen of them; hopefully they all find each other before they run into too much trouble for them to handle.
Of course, she only actually gets halfway through thinking that sentence before Chimchar sits up and Mawile decides to run off. "Hold on!" She makes a halfhearted grab to try and catch Mawile, but the other Pokémon is a lot faster than her and she knows it. She's mostly hoping to talk some sense into her. "Running off will just get us split up again. You saw how Spoink handled that pack on the first floor. He and Numel can handle themselves for a little while until we all find them."
In the meantime, Chimchar needs to be filled in on the situation. "Not joining our ancestors yet, I see. Apparently you ran into a trap by the stairs. Simisear seems to have gone on without you all."

Kyria ignores the cubone's warning and keeps going, leaping over the eevee like a hurdle, running north. She wasn't going to wait around while her friend was in danger, not again. With a determined look on her face she heads into the hallway to face whatever awaits her.

What awaits Kyria, as it turns out, is a taut vine that her leap disturbs, lashing out to strike her twice, and continuing to flail around almost as if alive to threaten the others. Safely (give or take a scratch) on the other side of the angry vegetation, Kyria finds herself in a reasonably large room with three exits. OOCTrap Stealth: Qy8Vmdhs2d6 Kyria Perception: 2d6
Vine Whip (AC2): 1d20 Grass Physical Damage: 1d8+11 Reset Roll: 1d20
And then an AoO. To-hit (AC4): 1d20 Normal Physical Damage: 1d8+11
The trap is active again now, so it'll strike whoever is next to cross with another Vine Whip. Traps also have an unlimited number of AoOs, though they can't always take them. 2d6·2d6·1d20·1d8+11·1d20·1d20·1d8+11

Kyria is barely fazed by the vine, it simply bouncing off her rough abdomen, she'd reach out and try to yank it out of the ground before trying to sniff out Virgil's location again, and heading to where the scent leads. She doesn't really wait for the others, but assumes they will follow her, so she tries to remove the trap between them. Disarm t2D9vYsW4d6

Kyria easily tears the vine out of the ground, the grass almost instantaneously regrowing to cover where it used to be as the vine withers and dies in her grasp. "Mawile -!" Aaaand she's jumped right over Eevee, torn the trap none of them even saw to shreds, and hurtled off into the next room. Melanie sits down with a heavy sigh.
"Fine, wander off alone into the middle of a Mystery Dungeon, see if I care," she mutters, just a bit resentfully. She gives Eevee a weary smile. "Thanks for backing me up, even if neither of us did much good."

"For all the good it did us," Lewis said with a sigh. "You know we have to go after her now, right?".
With that, he strolled over to Fenny, gently nudged her shoulder and said "Care to do the honors?" indicating that bothersome vine that the Mawile did not seem to care about.

Kyria stops on a dime, noticing she went the wrong way, she spins around and follows the scent back, going to chase after its source, she wasn't going to back down now. "Are you all coming? We have no time to just sit around while Virgil and numel could be in danger?" She doesn't wait for an answer already heading off.

Melanie blinks in confusion. The abrupt about-face there caught her off guard. "And you're turning around... why?"
But at least Mawile is at least pretending to care about whether they follow her this time. She gets to her feet and trudges after her with a sigh. "We may as well, I suppose. You're the one who can track them."

"Back...what...hey, where are you going?" Chimchar seems rather bemused by all the rushing around. Fennekin rolls her eyes at Lewis before springing off after Melanie and Kyria, outpacing the Cubone after a moment. Kyria rushes past a side path which has a sparkling gem sitting at the end of it, and comes face to face with an assortment of pastel-coloured feral Pokemon, all of which seem rather startled at her arrival. OOCI'm assuming at present that Lewis follows; if not feel free to remove him from the map.

Kyria notices the Ferals and goes into a defensive stance, preparing herself for the fight. Her jaw opens and she turns so it faces them, her feet position shoulder length apart as she looks back at the foes. She awaits them to come to her, or her allies to strike from afar, like the Fennekin. "You're in my way." She says to the Ferals. Despite having the correct posture of a normal mawile, she seems a bit more loose, in order to strike back rather than block or dodge, but most would think it was sloppy or odd at first glance. Hold turn until 2.3 Initiative

Fennekin, like Kyria, settles into a combative stance, flames flickering across her paws. "Aw, no, not more of these!" Chimchar complains, from behind everyone, though he advances nonetheless, drawing a wicked-looking dagger from his belt as he moves. OOCFennekin: Delay to 6.5.

Lewis approached the battle lines as quickly as he could, stopping alongside his new Fennekin ally. He could tell she was hesitating, probably waiting for the enemy to get in position, he could dig it. What he could not dig was the lack of options he had with which to contribute. So he simply took a combative stance an said with only slightly more cool confidence than he actually had " You've got this, Fenny" Shift Action: L12 to L16 Swift Action: Inspired Training on Self: Effective evasion 3, 5 against special or archived moves Standard Action: Helping Hand, Fenny gets +2 Accuracy and +10 damage this round

Fennekin glances to Lewis as he catches up to her. "Thanks," she says quietly, with a slight grin in acknowledgement, before springing forwards as the Swablu and Oddish charge at Kyria, landing just behind the Mawile and spitting a blast of flame past her and into the Cotton Bird Pokemon, almost knocking it out in a single blow. Melanie is left cursing her leg as she finds herself trailing behind the rest of the group again. Even with the ferals charging down the hall at them, the nearest is at the extreme of her range. Luckily, that one's also the easiest target. After she sees Fennekin's flames sear the Swablu, Melanie raises her staff, channeling the energy of the earth beneath her as she runs forward. "Bones of the earth, answer my call!" Glowing stones kick up behind her feet like a spray of water before streaming past her to home in on the Swablu. Kyria watches as the rocks spray the cloudbird, it was somehow still standing after the jointed assault on it, and it was in her way. She lunges at it with her jaws still facing it, gaping to bite it, clamping around it as she repeats the process she used on the surskit, unfortunately it isn't nearly as injured and even in its ko'd state is hard to take down. Though Kyria's bite is enough to knock the Swablu out, it's a little more unwieldy than the Surskit was, and before she's managed to get her jaws fully around the Flying-type the Dungeon's vines have twined around it and drawn it away into a wall. The Igglybuff, in the background, continues running as fast as its little legs will carry it (which isn't very) towards the melee. OOCIgglybuff: Standard: Sprint. Shift: Into N28.
