Clay concentrates even harder, splitting his attention two directions as his aura swirls with red around his arms and Baloo's paws. Baloo follows up his throw with a heavy-pawed downward strike, hoping to do as much damage as he can to Brenda before her powerful attacks take their toll.
Flower halts in midair, twitching unsettlingly as the electricity courses through her. Her flame flashes in the sun as she launches another rush of flame at Heather.
Clay channels Baloo and uses Spirit Boost! Baloo gains +6 bonus damage on Physical attacks. Baloo uses Karate Chop on Brenda! AC 2 vs Ls0KU9ym1d20, Crit 17+ 2d6+32 Physical Fighting damage

The sunlight dims back to normal as Brenda flails her hammer wildly at Baloo.
Brenda uses Flail. She triggers Push it to the Limit, giving herself another Injury (up to 3 after Baloo's attack), a Tick of Temporary HP, and doubling her Lessons bonuses for the next attack.

Clay is not exactly sanguine about his rapidly-growing handicap. (Or about how frequently his Pokémon's attacks are missing.) "C'mon, Sandy, let's show her what we've really got."
Switching the focus of his channeling as his Pokémon fall is starting to get draining, but Clay perseveres, making more blue light spring up around Sandy. With the intense sunlight faded, Sandy can use his new technique to its best effect - he charges at Brenda in a spray of water, lashing out at her with his finned tail.
Clay channels Sandy, uses Agility Orders, and binds Spirit Boost! Sandy's Initiative rises to 18 and he gains +6 bonus damage with Special attacks

Flower shifts her focus from the Heliolisk to Brenda, and her lantern globe flashes purple as Brenda is surrounded with a ring of ghostly flames that suddenly converge on her all at once.

"Now, Sandy! Hit hammer girl before she gets her balance! Hit 'em both if you can!" He's had way too many unlucky misses so far - he can't help but bite his lip as Sandy prepares for his attack. The Swampert backs off a step to get out of reach of Brenda's hammer, then sends a hail of rocks down on both of his opponents at once!

Incredibly, Sandy manages to block the flailing hammer, forcing the blow away. While Clay cheers, Flower turns and fires yet another blast of flame at Heather - hopefully this one will find its mark.

The fire misses the lizard due to the small dust storm it's Razor Wind whipped up. The sun lizard absorbs a bit of sunlight to heal itself (Sun Blanket for a Tick of HP) and sends the razor-sharp winds at Sandy.

"Fine, now's the time. C'mon, Sis, let's put her out!" Fan lopes onto the field, and a red aura shines around both her and Clay's hands at once. Clay half-hauls himself to his feet, leaning on his staff, and mimes throwing a punch - and Fan leaps up to swing a flaming fist at Brenda's face!

Heather the Heliolisk leaps in front of Fan's punch so that Brenda can stay in the fight that much longer. Heather is immediately knocked out. One of Brenda's other apricorn balls shakes and out pops a Primeape! It first locks eyes with Fan, but a quick order from Brenda sets it on Flower instead. It looms over the lantern-like Pokemon, pounding its fists together in anticipation.
Meanwhile, Brenda goes ham on Fan, giving as good as she nearly got. Push it to the Limit!

Clay doesn't like the look on that Primeape's face. And from what he remembers, some of the less honorable techniques Primeape like to use are a lot more useful against ghosts than fists. "Uh oh. Hex him quick, Flower!" The ghostly flames Flower produces don't whirl around Marty as dizzily as they did the off-balance Brenda, but they converge on him quickly in a flash of purple light. She jukes around him, trying to avoid being pinned between him and his trainer.
Fan screeches in pain as Brenda hits her, and throws another flaming jab at this impertinent human who just will not seem to go down!
