Melanie mutters imprecations about her malfunctioning Gadget as they walk. Maybe she can find someone back at the Guild to take a look at the thing, because she swears this is the second or third time it's done this to her. Of course, they soon have more important things to worry about. As they come upon the Pidove and Zigzagoon up front, even Melanie has to take a step back - she may have the most experience as an Explorer, but there are so few wild Pokémon around these days that encountering one is an event in itself. She turns warily when she hears rustling behind them and sees two more Pokémon come around the corner. "Company from behind, too. A ways back yet."The Tynamo and Cacnea are too far away to be a danger just yet, but the same can't be said for the two up front. The rest of the party will probably get their first hint that Melanie's attire is more than just a fashion statement. She move up toward the front, stepping around Spoink, and raises her bony staff in the air. She starts to chant, her low voice echoing oddly despite the open air. "Arde! Arde! Arde!"Ghostly flames seem to burn in the eyeholes of her mask, then flow out to circle around her as she chants. As she finishes with one final "Arde!", she slams her staff into the ground, and the flames shoot off in an arc, over Eevee and Mawile's heads, focusing in on the disoriented Pidove. They give off no heat, but they do leave a very real burn when they strike home. Melanie literally cannot make that Perception roll Swift: Focused Training on self (+1 Acc, +2 to Skill checks) Shift: Move to F18 Standard: Will-O-Wisp, targeting Pidove AC 5: TeThaiRe1d20+1. The Pidove quails at Kyria's glare, but is altogether rather distracted by the ethereal fire that starts playing over it. Behind the two Wild Pokemon, a Glameow skids around the corner and stops with a surprised meow. The Zigzagoon turns as if to flee, but, perhaps because of the sudden presence of another Pokemon behind it, instead gives a growl of its own to rival Kyria's. OOCPidove is Burned and loses one Attack Combat Stage, but doesn't lose any Defence Combat Stages.

Another feral Pokémon? They were getting outnumbered. But maybe they could even the odds before the rest got too close. He goes jumping over Kyria to smack the Pidove but almost stops short when the Glameow rounds the corner. He sticks the landing and gives the Pidove a weak smack before he can think better of it. Lewis's attack knocks the Zigzagoon reeling, almost knocking the already-woozy Pidove off its feet as well - not helped by Virgil bouncing into it. After some frantic fluttering, it manages to regain its balance, and beats its wings harder, whipping up a gust of wind...which comes closer to hitting the unconscious Zigzagoon than the Spoink it was clearly aiming at. The only reason it doesn't is that the grass of the Dungeon grows up at an astonishing rate around the raccoon before sinking away into the ground again, taking the Zigzagoon with it. As this rather unnerving disappearance takes place, two more Pokemon come around the corner of the path - a Fletchling and a Lickitung this time, while the smaller Pokemon at the other end of the path continue to close the gap. OOCZigzagoon takes 2 Injuries and Faints.

Kyria watches as Lewis finishes off his target, glancing over at the cat and grins menacingly. She charges over, spinning around and trying to latch her jaws on the glameow, for now it was as if it were merely food to Kyria. Her adrenaline building as she shakes viciously tearing at it, before letting go. She returns to a defensive stance and glares at the opponents, she believed that display would scare off the others. Melanie edges along the wall cautiously, trying to catch up to the main portion of the fight. She's not in a position to do much about the Pokémon coming up behind them, but if she can just reach the main melee she can be helpful there. She focuses in on the Pidove again. Disoriented, burned, and clearly not having a good time... the kind thing to do would be to put it out of its misery. "Ancestors guide me!" The markings on her mask begin to glow as she raises her staff again, giving off a tawny light. When she brings her staff down this time, it seems to have an impact out of all proportion with its actual force, jarring stones up from the soil beneath the unnatural grass. They circle around her briefly before firing off in a long stream toward the struggling Pidove, carrying the glow of power with them. After the initial shock of the first hostile sinking down into a grassy abyss passed through, Lewis remembered the roar of the battle raging around him. He snapped back to reality just in time to see the sword swinging Mawile take a bite out of crime the Glameow. Seizing upon the opportunity, the artiste weaved through his allies to shove himself straight into the hostile cat's center of gravity. As Kyria rips into the Glameow, Lewis once again sends it reeling in almost a perfect duplicate of what the two did to the Zigzagoon previously, leaving it for the grasses to swallow, while Melanie's conjured stones hammer into the Pidove, battering it but not knocking it out. With the cat out of the way Virgil sizes up the Pidove. He could take it out right? There was a mon around the corner but they wouldn't be able to get through Kyria. "Back off." The Pidove flies over Virgil as he tries to jump into it, beating its wings again and sending a - slightly more accurate the second time of asking - blast of wind at the dangerous Mawile. Its place is taken by the Fletchling, which attempts to do to the Eevee exactly what he'd just done to the Glameow and Zigzagoon before it, while the Lickitung ambles into the centre of the path and shakes its head from side to side, making a disorienting blabbering noise. That Lickitung looks like a serious problem. It's bigger than everybody else here, and it can clearly use Supersonic. It looks like it can take a bit of punishment, too. Luckily, that's what hexes are for. Melanie advances toward the Lickitung slowly, returning to her "Arde!" chant, sending the ghostly flames to wreathe the larger Pokémon. This also has the benefit of putting her between Eevee and the attacking Pokémon - she's pretty sure she can weather the blows better than he can. But focusing on that made her concentration waver a little; the Lickitung wouldn't find the flames too hard to dodge if it tried. Kyria decides to target the quite powerful bird next, taking the blast of wind like it was nothing. She hears an odd, loud noise come torwards her and she simply just spins and avoids it moving even more agile than before, although it did effect her depth perception for the time being. She lunges at the Fletchling, her movements swaying and in a dance of sorts after avoiding the sound blast, she snaps down on the birds entire being, before slamming it into the ground with extreme force. Playtime was just beginning for the eager combatant. Lewis apparently is still dazed from being knocked backwards, because he comes closer to hitting Kyria than the Fletchling, but Virgil's prediction turns out to be quite correct. As his blow lands, the Pidove struggles to remain standing for a few moments before slowly crumpling down to the floor, the grasses whipping up around it almost impatiently when it finally falls. The Lickitung, seeming rather unimpressed with the flames playing over its body, starts to amble towards Melanie, seeming to fail to notice Kyria until it almost walks into the Mawile's jaws, at which point it lashes out with its slobbery tongue, whipping it around the jaws to lick their owner. Perhaps it's dealt with Mawiles before. There is a small scuffle over by the Deerlings, where it seems a very young (but equally wild) Mime Jr has run into the camouflaged Pokemon without noticing them. Melanie makes a noise of displeasure as the Pidove's wing buffets her. This is the problem with not being very mobile, it exposes her to attacks like that while she focuses on something else. But Spoink took it down now, so that's done with. Melanie circles around to the side to reach that Lickitung, since it's one of the biggest threats here to Pokémon that aren't her. She swings her bony staff at it; Melanie's deceptively strong, and there's quite a bit of power behind the blow. Melanie takes an injury. Ow, I forgot Pidove had Guster. Scratch that, I messed up multiple things. No injury here! Kyria is covered in sparks after the lick, scowling at the attacker. The sparks are short lived however as she erupts with energy, the sparks flying off her, she now prepares to strike with her sword, unafraid. Both Melanie and Kyria strike land powerful strikes on the Lickitung, taking advantage of its obviously-sensitive burns, and it recoils from the two, blubbering in alarm and pain. But, and unlike the Pidove, it manages - with obvious difficulty - to stay standing. The two Deerlings split up, one darting forwards to attempt to knock Lewis away from the frontlines again while the other circles around the melee, fur bristling and blending in even further with the grass and hedges. OOCLickitung takes an Injury.
