"Alright... well. It's late... and we are stuck in Kanto for a while. One of our team quests done!"
She looks at Kay.
"And don't think I forgot about you! It's gonna be a bit to get the money to train back... unless we take the reaaaaly long way by foot, so we got some time to look around. Got any ideas? Been seeing anything you recognize?"

The gang all rest up in Fuschia's Pokemon Center for the night. Despite the tension between Johto and Kanto, Pokemon Trainers are still treated the same as always. Although the fact that the Nurse Joys look completely identical regardless of which city you're in is a bit surreal. May is a little unnerved by it, though Kay seems to think it's normal; or at least isn't bothered by it.

That's a bit off-putting, but she's been an Unown and is dating a slime girl. Have to do better than that to weird her out! She gets them all a room, and settles in for bed for plenty of rest, cause now they gotta go UP Cycling Road.

Kay gets all smug at first when she points out that she's just going to be floating her way up the stairs (not great at teleporting more than a few feet at a time), but about halfway up she goes back in her Poke Ball because of a killer migraine.

Victoria chuckles at Kay retreating into her pokeball. Now if only she could do that. They keep walking for a while and eventually Victoria has to sit down on the steps.
"Owwww..."
She rubs her legs for a minute before over-dramatically flopping backward and sighing loudly.
"May, you are going to have to go on without me. THIS... is where I die... bleeeeeeh..."
She rolls her head over and her tongue sticks out as if playing dead, if silently trying to supress giggling.

May giggles, surprisingly not even winded. Apparently it has something to do with the fact that she doesn't really have muscles? Or something? Her body is so weird that even she doesn't know exactly what's up. All she knows is it's hard to get physically tired, but she turns into a puddle if she gets embarrassed. Can't even control that, it just happens, like blushing.
