Victoria - Adventure Thread (Johto)

As it is not the "tourist season", there aren't a lot of people hanging out around the Burned Tower. This allows Victoria to take her time and enjoy reading about the history of it. As a native though, Victoria already knows a lot of this. The plaques have to be relatively short in order to keep the attention of the tourists. In spite of that, it's always nice to have a refresher course.

Notable events in the (former) Brass Tower's history:
- Originally home to Lugia, before being struck by lightning and causing the deaths of three unknown Pokemon. These Pokemon would be resurrected by Ho-Oh and become what are now known collectively as 'The Legendary Beasts'; Entei, Raikou, and Suicune.
- Twenty-seven years ago, Legendary Trainer Gold of New Bark Town visited this location during his Pokemon Journey, alongside of Gym Leader Morty and a man named Eusine. They were among the first to see the Legendary Beasts in person; to confirm their existence. This occurred when, after battling his rival Silver, the floor gave way beneath Gold's feet, sending him plummeting to the basement below. 'Twas this event, Leader Morty later claimed, that 'awoke' the three creatures dwelling within.
- While Entei and Raikou fled the scene immediately, Suicune actually approached our young, future Champion. Eusine later claimed that Gold must be 'special' somehow, though at the time, this was spoken out of jealousy that Suicune chose Gold over him. Pokemon Trainer Gold would later become the first recorded Touched of Suicune.
- Shortly after this event, Gym Leader Morty petitioned the city council to allow him to construct a tourist destination outside of the Burned Tower, so as to share its history with everyone. If you're reading this, then clearly he succeeded in convincing them.

The Dance Theater is a nice place. Very traditional. So much so as to stand out even among the already-traditional Ecruteak City. Perhaps because it's one of the largest buildings in town? Yeah. That's probably it. It's a popular destination for any visitor to the city. You haven't truly lived unless you've seen one of the Kimono Girls' performances. Not to say that there aren't other entertainers that can book the Theater, just that the Kimono Girls are the most famous. Heck, even Elite Four Will has been known to make appearances on stage. Heh. He certainly looks the part, at least.

Today, however, it would seem that the Girls are hosting battles for anyone who wishes to challenge them. The Kimono Girls are unique in this aspect as well, in that they specifically use only a single Eeveelution each. As more 'evolutionary forms' of Eevee were discovered, they still chose to continue training the 'traditional' forms: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon.

Fun fact: Gym Leader Valerie of Kalos is a former Kimono Girl herself. Her bonded partner is obviously Sylveon.

There is no specific order one needs to challenge the Girls in, so all Victoria has to do is request a challenge with any or all of them.

Victoria breathes a sigh of relief. She’s made it. Time for the ghost boss! ...after some healing.

She waves in greeting but stops when he mentions the trainers are all gone.

“Uhhhh... no I didn’t notice...”

She peers back around, trying to squint and see, maybe avoid the clear answer.

Victoria's eyes go wide at the mad-cap thing playing in front of her.

"Whaaaaaat?"

Was she really facing ghost ladies? That's awesome! ...Wait a minute. She leans over to the ladies.

"Hey, is he keeping you here for free labor? Do you need me to help form the Ghost Lady union?"

Victoria can't help but cutely giggle at the chaos she's caused.

"Dawww, they just want to help! They were good at their jobs, if that helps any."

Victoria is still giggling as the ghosts start arguing and finally urge the gym fight on. She wipes her eyes.

"Bye ladies!"

She turns to Morty.

"No, I don't have any. Let's go for the Badge!"

She pumps her fist up.

Morty nods, recalling the still-hissing Mimikyu. "You did fairly well for your first attempt. It's pretty rare that people get past any Gym Leader on the first try. Excepting maybe Falkner if you're fighting his zero-badge team." He chuckles and smiles at Victoria. "Come on back whenever you're ready to try again, and try not to let this loss get you down, okay? Oh! And if you happen to run into Falkner again, ask him how many zero-badgers he's lost to. Drives him nuts."

"Hey-o! Whitney here!" Whitney's bubbly voice crows over the line. "I hear ya got to Ecruteak already, Vicky. Ya kick Morty's ghostly butt yet?"
