As Victoria may or may not have noticed in her half-aware state, Whitney is not in bed anymore. She likely got up early to prepare for a long day at the Gym. While still rummaging through her bag, trying to decide on what to wear for the day, there is a sharp knock on the door before Whitney's voice filters in.
"Hey, Vicky, you up yet? Breakfast will be ready in ten minutes!" She calls.

Ten minutes later, if Vicky still hasn't managed to get herself dressed, Whitney will take it upon herself to ensure her latest BFF is ready for the day. In such a circumstance, she'll knock on the door in warning, offering Vicky two minutes to get dressed even a little bit or hop in the shower. After those two minutes, if the stated conditions have not been met, Whitney will barge in, find a "cute" outfit from Vicky's stash, shove it into her arms and march her into the bathroom telling her to 'move it or lose it'. It's not that she needs Vicky out of the house or anything, she just doesn't want her lollygagging on her Pokemon Journey!

"Morning~!" Whitney chirps back, flipping some pancakes. She piles half a dozen of them on a plate for herself and asks how many Victoria wants before serving up the same amount along with whatever else Victoria would like with them. Combined with copious amounts of maple syrup, butter, bacon, and some black coffee, Whitney's breakfast is practically every child's dream (just replace the coffee with hot chocolate for children).

Victoria eats a bunch, happily, and enjoys breakfast with Whitney. After a bit, seems like Whitney has to go to work and Vicky should get back on her journey.
"Ok I guess you gotta get back to work now. I probably should also go back to continuing on my journey. As much as I want to stay..."

Whitney would love to hang out longer, but doesn't want any of her friends to put their Pokemon Journey/dreams on hold just to spend time with her. She insists that Victoria continue on and win all the way to...heck, at least the top 16! She's sure that Victoria can do it! Not that she'd be upset if she didn't, of course. Disappointed that she couldn't push further? Maybe, but certainly not upset. Go as far as you can, and then come back next time and try to go further beyond! Heh, she got a little carried away there. In any case, just, ah, focus on beating Morty first. Worry about the Silver Conference later.

Whitney looks forward to hearing from/seeing Victoria again! She wishes her well as she zips out the door so she's not late opening her Gym. Looks like it's back to the ol' dusty trail for Vicky now. Onward to Ecruteak City!

Just outside of Ecruteak City, Victoria is caught off-guard by a strange girl. The lavender-haired trainer has almost no presence, what the heck?! "Greetings. I apologize if I startled you, but I wish to request a battle. I have four Pokemon on me." She says almost shyly. |

Asuka nods slightly. "Xatu and I, we can manipulate this 'luck' in battle to some extent. We have won battles with it on occasion. However, for everything that is, there exists a counter-force. If what we are doing is changing our 'luck' to be good, then there must be (at least) equal parts 'bad luck' to balance the universe, yes? However, as the battles we win are often 'worth more' (Gym Battles and the like), then we must lose more 'normal battles' in order to balance properly." She does her best to explain, but it probably comes across as nothing but 'technobabble' to Victoria.

"Soo... what you are telling me is you purposefully go out and find battles that you'll lose so that way you 'save up luck' and your gym battles will go better?"
She hmmms thoughtfully.
"Feels a bit like I've been used but in a way that also sounds like you had to find a strong trainer and found me? It's flattering, in an odd way."
