"Thanks for letting me know," Leon said smiling and after being pointed in the direction of the mayors house made his way over, hoping it wouldn't be too early not wanting to bother the person running the town.

Judging by the sounds of activity inside, Mayor Kalani's household is definitely awake. No sooner has Leon knocked politely than the door handle starts to jiggle a little. After a moment, it slowly swings open, despite there seemingly being nobody on the other side. Peering around the other side of the door, Leon spots a little Totodile hanging off the doorknob. It flashes a toothy grin at him.

Leon was surprised to see nobody but a pokemon on the other side of the door but figured if it was smart enough to open the door it might be smart enough to understand him. Kneeling down to get on the crocodiles level Leon asked "Excuse me I was hoping to send a message to someone, and was told the mayor could help with that, Could I meet with her?"

Once the healer is finished, she asks, "Have you seen Leon today? Or Leanne?"

"Nope!" Yue says, a little distracted by her Bagon issue. "Hmmmm...I wonder how I can get it to listen to me...If only I had some sort of medallion or badge that would magically make stronger pokemon I catch listen to me..."

Leon was knocked onto his backside, not expecting the sudden tackle "So you want to play with me huh well I'm not.." he started to say, not sure if he should play while on a mission but Leanne interjected "Wait! If we refuse the little cutey will just get dejected and might not let us meet with the mayor. But if you go along you're sure to run into her," she said as Leon mulled on that for a second before nodding 'Good idea' he thought before looking down at the little water type "Sure I'll play with you, but can we play inside?" he asked motioning to the house.

Totodile seems to think this is a brilliant idea and quickly leads Leon back into the house....where he is quickly ambushed by almost a dozen more Totodile who wish to 'play'.

Leon realized too late that he was being led into a 'trap' and was quickly surrounded on all sides, realizing he needed back up he let up Clefairy. Leon hoped that she would be able to help him handle the playful creatures and possible calm a few of them down.

Poor Clefairy has barely materialized from her ball before getting swarmed by excited baby Totodile. Through her telepathic link, she informs Leon that it's best to just play with them a little so that they use up some of their energy and don't bother them when the Mayor turns up. Though Clefairy does note that there is a Feraligatr watching them play with the babies, so it's highly likely the Mayor is already aware of their presence and just waiting to see how they handle this.

Hearing that Leon is glad he didn't go with his first plan which was to switch with Leanne who was chattering away in his head at how cute the Totodiles were, almost begging Leon to change so she could hug them all.
Hearing that he just had to play with them, Leon had an idea taking out Witch Slayer and slipping off his overcoat, he wrapped the coat around the whip and tied it off making sure the rough edges were covered before grabbing the tip and rotating it around his body, using it as a jump rope to demonstrate to the Totodiles. Afterwards, he found a place where her could tie one end to something inviting the tiny crocs to try it for themselves.

Intrigued by this new game, the Totodile quickly make their attempts, falling all over one another in the process. It takes quite some effort to wrangle them into some semblance of order so they stop tripping over each other (when not still tripping over themselves) so as to improve their overall enjoyment of the game. They quickly wear themselves out, their stubby little legs not really meant for jumping. They inevitably collapse in a heap together, snoozing away. Leon then picks up the sound of faint giggling coming from nearby. It's not quite the same pitch as Leanne, and Clefairy reacts to it, so it must be someone else. Probably the Mayor.
The Mayor is a young, 20-something brunette. She is currently amused by the pile of worn-out Totodiles at Leon's feet. The Feraligatr that Clefairy mentioned is standing next to her, sporting a toothy grin (not that there's any other kind of grin where this species is concerned).

Leon finally had a chance to take a break, not able to help but smile at the scene of the Totodiles napping together and started to unknot his overcoat from the whip when he heard the giggle looking toward the source he saw the mayor. Straightening himself up Leon gave a small bow "Hello, I'm Leon Hunterson. Excuse me for coming in somewhat uninvited, but I had something I wanted to discuss with you and this little guy invited me in to play," he said motioning to the Totodile who originally let him come inside "And as someone who lives with a dozen of these little ones, I'm sure you know it's hard to say no to them," he said with a smile.

The Mayor giggles again. "Of course. My name is Kalani, and I'd be happy to assist you in any way possible." She says. "Don't worry about being invited in by one of the little ones. Gertrude here was keeping an eye on you the entire time." Kalani motions to the Feraligatr at her side. "But yes, they are very difficult to say 'no' to. The little cuties."

"It's nice to meet you, Mayor Kalani, I was hoping to send a message to the guild back in Saffron. I believe you've already talked with my friend Brooke, we came to Cerulean to deal with the Pokemon attacks and found that it was linked to Poachers. I recently learned we might be able to lure one out by asking around town. However, since we're going to be facing against criminals I believe it's best to get all the help we can so I would like to send a message to another person we've worked with named Rei to ask her to join us," Leon said explaining why he originally came to the house.

"Oh is that all you needed? Well that's easy!" Mayor Kalani exclaims. "Hehe, you hardly even need to talk to me about that. Here, I'll take you to our little 'mail stop' where we keep messenger Pidgey." Apparently the Mayor is a very touchy-feely person, as she quickly grabs Leon's hand and practically drags him across town to the place in question; only releasing him when she gets there. While Leon 'recovers' from his 'trip', Kalani chats with the person in charge of the messenger birds.

Leon was a little surprised but realized quickly that resistance was futile, and let himself get carried away by the young woman's pace, with Leanne teasing him along the way that he was lucky a pretty girl wanted to hold his hand. While Leon recovered he tried to think of what to do next, it would take Rei the same amount of time to reach the town. Which made Leon feel that best plan was to try to meet on the Route itself after he Brooke and Yue managed to lure out whoever was intimidating people asking about the poachers. Eventually, Leon managed to catch his breath and listened to a bit to the chat.
