Peyote slowly peeks around Izzy's legs at the other pokemon and hops beside her. His cool body leans against her. You notice he has a slight shiver.
Jason, you remember from the farm that plenty of reptiles acted like this in the Fall. When winter rolled around, when there was less sun, they would disappear until Spring.
Keno, Gypsy seems to enjoy the attention you're giving her as you pet her soft mane and fur. Your Pokedex scans her, saying, "Capricolt, a skittish pokemon. It forms herds that travel up and down rivers and lakes. The horns on its head are connected to the sinus cavities and work as snorkels to allow it to stay underwater as it grazes. It has become rare in the wild due to the sparkling fur on its body, which attracts collectors. It has been described as a 'living constellation'."
John, you push, but it's locked tight. You notice that the frame has different glyphs inside the room. Instead of suns, they are various pokemon.

Izzy gives Peyote a small smile as he seems to decide he'll be following instead of riding, and then she moves towards the door and stops beside John.

Izzy, your perception tells you that these glyphs appear to be recently carved. The wood shows no sign of rot. You also notice that three of the glyphs match the pokemon your comrades have. Arachnut is on top, Smink is on the left, and Capricolt is on the right. You can also see that something seems off about them, like they are separate parts from the wood. Your Occult Education tells you that many of these depicted pokemon were sacred to the indigenous people long ago and that making carvings of them would form some kind of connection to other worlds.

In an effort to give the others some space by the door, Keno moves around the room to see if there was anything else they misssed. As he did so, he was acutly aware of the presence of the Tailow from earlier, and didn't have much of an interest in tangling with them at the moment. He recalled the dex info, stating they were ground typed, 'not fire, but that's why they shyed away from Gypsy's water spray.'
The though of Gypsy prompted Keno to clap his hand on hit thigh, wanting his friend to stay close.

Gypsy's ears faced your direction and she dragged herself to stay beside you. Looking over the walls at the holes, you notice some are uninhabited. However, inside a few, you see something shiny.

"I'm not sure how relevant I'll be here," Isabella states softly as she motions to the door. "Your three Partners are here, but Peyote isn't."
She smiles down at her Bulbasaur and moves a few feet from the door to make room should Keno or Jason want to approach with their Pokémon.
"You know, Peyote..." she whispers, running a hand gently along the side of the small reptile's side, "It's only fair that I let you know I'm not officially your Trainer yet. The Professor said he'd only explain what he had planned when we returned from the Trial... and I'm a bit concerned that he's pushing his specific world view on us."
She glances towards John as she remembers something and raises her voice slightly, "Some people believed that making those sorts of carvings linked them to other worlds. And most of those Pokémon were seen as sacred. Like the one in the sun carving earlier."

Jason gently pats Smink's head, feeling silly for not realizing the lizards condition sooner. When he left his warm mid-western farm he loaded up on coats and wool socks, seems only fitting his new buddy would need the same. Once we're out of these caverns we'll warm you up, he promised.
Following John to the door, Jason cocks his head at the new images on the door. Sure, he had only grabbed a glance at the door before, and during the heat of battle, but it made no since that the images had changed this much. He knocked gently against the wood seeing if there was a hollow section under the new images.
After that, Jason hoist Smink up and holds him in the position of the carved Smink at the top of the door, looking like a comical adaptation of The Pyroar King.
"Worth a shot," Jason shrugs and looks over his shoulder at John.

Jason, you hear from knocking that the wood was hollow. Smink looks at the picture of itself and leans in on it to examine it. It seems to make a "click" as it pushed into the structure. This seemed to make it jump in surprise and back away.
Izzy, it seems your observation is correct that some of these glyphs were separate from the rest of the wood. Peyote hops at it and uses a paw to press on one that looked like a fish pokemon. He looked disappointed that it didn't click.

Keno almost has to further investigate the shiny objects at this point, so long as they appear in the uninhabited cubby holes.

Inside the holes, Keno finds bits of quartz crystals, metal needles, bottle caps, enough coins to make $10, and some black downy feathers.

Seems harmless enough, as if the birds are attracted to shiny objects, but those needles could be dangerous. For the most part Keno left the birds treasures, removing needles when he found them and checking the crystals for glyphs, but returning them if they appeared normal.

You feel the points of the spider's shell as it crawls to its own glyph and presses it. There is another "click".
Keno, you find a crystal with strange looking flaws in it that look like double rings.

Seeing the strange stone, he tries slipping it into his pocket so as not to allow the birds to see him stealing their 'treasures.'

Aside from the the stone he only removes needles, thinking of the professors Rufflet, 'pokemon sure do like shiney objects.' he wraps up the needles in a tissue so as not to prick himself and to dispose of them later. while craming his hands his his pocket, he clanks up against some spare change. Removing it, he scatters it in a shaft of light, so the Tailow have some new shinies to play with; a literal payment for the stone.

Headed back twards the group, he scoops Gypsy slowly, "What's up? Door stuck?"1d6

Keno, the Taillow don't seem to care that you took the object, not do they pay mind to your money. As you take it, it seems to glow with a white aura.
