The man smiled and shouted, "Son, you're up!" The door on the other side of the car opened and a young man at 18 stepped out. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and heavily built like he was on steroids. He slicked back his red hair and cracked his neck before looking at you with a smug grin. He wore a jacket with patches that looked like Granbulls, a pair of blue jeans, and white sneakers. Cracking his knuckles, he said, "Alright, shrimp! Let's do this!"

John nodded, then turned to Keno, "Have to make my name known somehow!" then to the annoyingly smug rich kid, "lets do this!"

Keno looked through the crowd for someone that seemed enthused by these people's presence. Attempting to get information about who these people are like uncorking a bottle, Keno pushed his way through the crowd to get near and say, "who is that?" If they were a fan the information would just spill out gleefully.

Keno, the person you talked to was a man dressed in a jacket and cap with granbull patches on them. He looks at you in confusion and asks, "You new around here, bub? That's Ralph Burton, the star player of the high school football team! He just recently won the national championship for the town! Now he's trying out pokemon battles, just like his dad, Mayor Burton over there." Just then, the mayor pulled out his phone and mumbled a call to someone. The air echoed with the sounds of police sirens from the town square.
Eventually, everyone moved off the road to make way for black and white cars with red and blue flashing lights on top of them. Officers stepped out to move the crowd back some more as the sheriff emerged with a megaphone. He shouted out, "Everybody, move back! This area has now become a temporary battle ground! Do not cross the borders for your safety!" The officers could be seen setting up stakes before connecting them with the usual "DO NOT CROSS" tape barricading the area surrounding John and Ralph. The arena was set up on the path as a 20x40 meter area.
Ralph grins as he reached for his belt and grabbed a pokeball. He pressed the button to make it grow to its active size before tossing it in front of him. The ball burst into a flash of blue flame before a pokemon appeared in front of him. It appeared to be a bipedal reptile with blue scales and patches of yellow on the belley, lower jaw, and ears. The most prominent feature was the thick helmet-like crest that seems to protect its skull. It leers at you with his triangular eyes and growls while waving its stubby digitless arms. That is before it tucks them back into its body as the cold wind blows.
The crowd cheers, ready to see their first trainer battle in town for the season, but that will be described in the next episode.
