Gypsy tackles the nearest poliwag to her and hits it hard enough to where the little tadpole's blue skin starts to turn purple in the hit area. The other that gets its energy absorbed by Arach ends up in worse shape, with its frail body wriggling in the shallow water, almost seeming to struggle to keep awake.
The one Gypsy attacked slaps at her with its tail.

If that was the best it could do than the Poliwag didn't stand a chance. Gypsy almost smiled when the 'hit' brushed her. At least the Poliwag could take a hit, it had that merit. Keno though he might not need another water type, but he also might never get anoth chance at catching one; especially not in this cave. "Keep it up gypsy! let's see if they can out swim you."
Before Gypsy's second assault, Keno tossed a pokeball at the Poli that proved it could withstand a Gypsy hit.

Before Gypsy could make the other attack, both polis disappeared in a flash into the balls that shook violently in the puddles. After a few shakes from both, they stopped and both captures were a success.

"Gypsy, could you retrieve those pokeballs please?"
Keno saw no need to hunt down the third, should it not cause any problems. Upon her return, he would pet her fondly, "OK, have a rest."
"You ready to head twards the exit John?"
Keno called out his Corphish into the shallows. "Hi. Happy to have you on the team. We are going to be leaving these caves soon, just wanted to give you a chance to say goodbye." Keno squatted down by the waterside, "I also wanted to ask if there was anything you know about these cave that might help us, or something we should take with us."

"I am good to go." John stated as he put his newly caught pokemon onto his build after Gypsy retrieved it.

The corphish just shakes itself side to side, probably meaning it doesn't know the answer to your question.

"Well then we're off," Keno proclaimed as he stood.
Realizing Corphish sees in other sensory ways, he asks his pokemon "think you can follow my foot falls?"
He pats his feet on the ground a few times, simulating walking, turns to John, and heads towards the elevator exit. So long as Corphish has no problem keeping up they will make their way to the exit. Keno listens for a moment, then returned to the crumbling rocks where he first met Dunsparce. He looked for it, or tracks of it's whereabouts.

You are able to find tracks leading back into the rocky walls, probably indicating that its back in the tunnels. Your knowledge of Dunsparce tells you that its probably moving back to its nest, which could be anywhere for several miles.

John waits at the elevator for Keno, "Coming Man?"

"hum?" Keno's focus broke, "Yea."
'Where ever that Dunsparce is, I hope it's warmer.' He wasn't keen on crawling through tunnels and getting lost or stuck in there. When the elevator doors opened, Corphish followed Keno in. As it began to rumble upward, Keno quiclky realized the sensory overload that was pressing on Corphish. Reacting quickily, he returned Corphish to the quiet of a pokeball. Keno glanced at John, then, repressing the excitment of all that lead up to this, he held up a hand for a high five.

Jason returns to the visitor center and is grateful for Smink's heated core as he regains the feelings in his cold hands very quickly.
"I think I figured it our little guy," he smiles at the lizard. "Imma call you Cinders."
Hoping for a positive response from the new pokemon, Jason sits down in the front room to wait for his fellow applicants-- no. Fellow trainers!-- to return.

Upon hearing his new name, Cinders puffs out his chest as a thick smoke billows out of his mouth. Keno and John, the elevator takes you back to the visitor center, where the professor is playing around with the stone given to him. He seems to be attaching a device to it that resembles a bracelet.

Jason nods at Cinder's acceptance of the name before returning him into his Pokeball. He meets up with John and Keno at the front desk and cocks his head at the professor's project. The stone looked much too important to be used as a simple jewelry trinket.

He attached the stone to his wrist and looks to see you emerge from the elevator. "Ah, well done! Did you find any additional friends to help you along the way?" He looked at the device. "Oh, this? This is something a good friend of mine in Alola told me about. I'm planning on testing it later."

Glancing at the bracelet, "Yes we found a few more friends, though I dont think I need two squirtles." John stated. "So what now?"

Keno was happy to be an official trainer, and looked forward to the challanges ahead. Backing John, "Yea, so how does it work, we're your interns and you send us on errands? Or, are we at your call when you need us?"
Addressing the stone, "That's the one Izzy found, isn't it? You need ours too, or can we hold onto them until they become useful?"

"Yes, this is the stone from Izzy. And don't worry, I won't need your other stones. I just need this one for an experiment. Also, if you have some squirtles you don't need, keep them in Bill's storage. Someone might trade you for them! As for what happens now, well I'd say your journey has begun. What you do and where you go is up to you. However, if you plan on taking the league challenge, I suggest starting at Mercury City. Doktor Vergiften should be able to provide your first badge. Oh, and be careful when fighting his pokemon. He's been doing experiments on them again."
