"Peyote... I really think this Trial was built with local traditions in mind. Unfortunately, that leaves us out of it. Which is really odd, since the Professor was looking for five Applicants..." Isabella offers softly to her little frog-like Pokémon, offering a slight shrug at the oddity. "At least we got lucky and the other three selected the correct Pokémon to maybe solve this."

Peyote's warts seem to flare up as he starts croaking at the other pokemon in an annoyed manner. Smink just responds with a a series of squeaks and gutteral noises, Arachnut starts tapping in what seems to be Morse code, and Gypsy turns her head away in a snort and whinny. Peyote just stomps around wildly.

"What if we push the buttons at the same time" John stated.

"Unless anyone can speak their language, I'd say that's a good next step," Jason answers.
He is almost started by the Smink's language. He had never heard a lizard speak before, and the sharp squeaks and low grunts didn't seem like they should come from the cute body. He raises Smink to his photo again, ready to have him push it with the others.

"Do you think that the poem over there has anything to do with it? Maybe an order to press them... or is the door a pull?"

"An order," Jason echoed and looked back to the story. "Arachnut, Smink, Capricolt. There's no hurt in trying, John why don't you press first and the myself then Keno."

"Let's do it Arachnut!"

Arachnut pushed its button first, then smink, and Gypsy. Once that happened, Peyote pushed on the door and two wooden panels opened, revealing a smaller door for him to hop through.

Isabella eyes the smaller door that Peyote opened, then her Bulbasaur and the other three Starters, judging their sizes.
"Wait... Are we supposed to have our Pokémon go on ahead of us?" she asks, here eyes widening slightly at the thought before she glances towards the holes in the nearby walls. "What will the locals do if we do that?"
(OOC: Sorry, but I have not actually reference for sizes, so I'm guess they're all basic "Starter size" from the Anime and games.)

That's a literal smaller reaction than Keno was expecting. At least there weren't trapped in the room anymore, well not all of them anyway. "Gypsy, you ok with going through after Peyote? See whay you can see?"

The dimensions of the hole are about 2.5' tall and 2' wide. Peyote could be heard hopping around on the other side. Gypsy just looks at Keno before holding her snout up with a "huff" and lightly slapping her tail against him. Another click was heard from the other room as the door opens for you.

Jason chuckles to himself as the small toad-pokemon opens the door from the outside.
"Thank ya, kindly," he says to Peyote once outside the Tailow room, he turns to his comrades. "Did you still want to check out the waterfall room again, or should we make our way back to that elevator that brought us down here?"
While waiting for his comrades replies, Jason pulls out the phone-dex and goes to scan Smink. Finally out of danger, Jason figures its time to learn more about the lizard.

"We're not out yet, but before we go I want to at least remove the Sunstone and restore the water level for corphish. Anyone see a door with a little hieroglyph of each of us around it?"

"Smink, a smoking lizard pokemon. Smink reside in forests and plains, where food is plentiful. It's body uses the consumed calories to heat the flames within itself. This pokemon is very passive and will run away, if under attack. If it is caught, it will detach its tail, which wiggles around to create a distraction before bursting into flames that burn the attacker. Smink is notorious for having a high metabolism and will eat many times its weight per day to stay at a constant temperature. It is always a few hours away from starvation. It has been known to like berries, which it melts and burns in its mouth."

"I'm for checking in with the Professor," Izzy tells Jason. "I want to find out if I'll actually become a Trainer, or not... And if so, if I can return here to see about a Squirtle, Poliway and...or a Taillow."
She smiles down at Peyote, "Independent, though you clearly are do you want to come along and find out if we'll become Partners after all?"

As Peyote smiled at you, a familiar voice from behind him said, "I'd say that's a very good possibility!"
Professor Sequoia came walking towards the party. "I came back as soon I was done with important matters and I saw the footage of what you've done with the totem pokemon! I'm glad to see you had something to avoid conflict, but I'm still curious about something. Where did you get those stones?"

The professor's voice seemed jovial enough, the trial seemed to be over, and it would seem, with positive results. It wasn't too surprising to learn that they were under surveillance the whole time, this trial was planned after all. The intriguing part was how the professor was perplexed about the stones, they were part of the trial weren't they? Digging for both interesting stones he has, Keno presents them to the professor, "I'm not sure which stone you mean."

"Well, I saw you got that normalium crystal from that Murkrow cache, but where did those Z-stones come from? I was only aware of the ones in the Alola Region, but I never knew there would be any in Orudo!"

Izzy blinks at the sudden introduction of the unexpected, but familiar voice, and then gives her Bulbasaur a gentle smile, reaching up to gently run a hand along the side of his jaw.
To the question, she offers: "There was a Spirit, or psychic-projection, or effect of Hypnosis that told us to take some glowing stones. And the large Taillow--the Totem Pokémon--coughed up something as well."

He pondered this for a while. "So, someone that looked like a spirit or claimed to be one snuck into the cave and gave you the stones? As much as I think spirits are superstitious misunderstandings of natural world, this might need some investigation. Still, I'm surprised that they would let you have something this powerful and possibly dangerous! Also, what did the Taillow cough up? I hope it's not another loogie!"
