As he stated this Arachnut jumped onto his shoulder, ready to act if the need arises.

Ignoring Izzy's request for now, Jason keeps his attention on the large Tailow. Whatever they were doing seemed to be working, but until the bird was securely back in its home Jason wouldn't let his guard down. They could do all that Pokedexing after they were safe and outside the Tailow nest.

First she scolds, then she asks for something, on top of that; birds! 'I should take a look at my own pokedex...'
The Tailow and the stones are giving off the same aura so the must be connected somehow.
"Do you need our help, or are we few to go?" Keno holds out his glowing stone to the leader like bird.

Izzy nods and scans the Arachnut once John gives his permission. "Thanks," she offers, "Hopefully this'll help all of us know what you guys can do."
Meanwhile, she remains crouched beside Peyote, glowing stone in her lap, a small, still form. She does, nevertheless, keep note of the large Taillow nearby, ready in case it should turn to violence.

The Pokemon spits a pebble at the ground and flew back to its nest above the room. Izzy the Pokedex says, "Arachnut, an arboreal spider pokemon. These shy predators live in trees, where nuts and apricorns grow. It makes a disguise by carefully removing the shells and attaching them to its body with webbing. It was discovered by accident in an orchard when a farmer found one of his crops crawling around and rearing fangs at him."

Izzy blinks at the Taillow's offering then sends John's Pokémon a smile, "Clever fellows, aren't you?"
She doesn't bother to get up, after all, all the boys have proven more than willing to leap in an attempt to be first, so why bother?

The spider hops off and skitters over to the pebble and pokes it curiously with a leg. It seems to cringe and back away.

Seeing Arachnut's strange reaction John hesitated briefly before walking over to his pokemon and picking it up, before looking down at the offering.

Keno walks over to take a closer look, using this stone as a sort of dowsing rod. He watched his stone to see it's aura is affected by getting closer.

John, the pebble feels sandy and crumbly in your fingers. It also feels warm since it was just inside the Taillow. Keno, your stone doesn't react to it.

Jason lets out a deep breath as the large Tailow flies back into his nest. He pockets his stone and approaches Isabella. He stretches his hand out to her and smiles.
"You still doing okay, Miss Isabella?" he asks.

Izzy smiles up at Jason as he comes up beside her. "Better since I finally got Peyote out of that thing," she admits, eyeing the Urn distrustfully before storing it into her back.
She look at a Peyote with a smile, giving a quick glance to her Dex's screen, "This says that Bulbasaur are about 15-pounts, or so. That's not too much for me to manage. Would you like me to carry you, or would you rather just follow along?"
She accepts Jason's hand with a soft "Thanks," using it to steady her slightly as she shifts her stance slightly, ready to pick up her Starter, should he indicate that's what he'd prefer.
She motions to the small reptile, "Everyone, this is Peyote. You can scan him into your PokéDexes, if you'd like." She smiles at her Starter and motions to the humans and the visible Pokémon, "Peyote, these are friends, okay?"

Peyote looks at the party and their pokemon. The Smink swallows its food and squeaks at him with a puff of smoke. Capricolt just ignores him and silently lays on the floor with Its ears scanning the room. As for Arachnut, it rears up on John's shoulder, showing a pair of fangs. The Bulbasaur croaked again and hid behind Izzy's legs.

"Well howdy," Jason nods to the green quadruped before John's spider scares him off, and then to the group, "Seems to me we found the treasure we were searching for. I reckon our next step is to get that door open. The only thing I found on it was a nice picture story."
While speaking, Jason carefully lifts Smink from his shoulder so he can give a better once over now that the threat is gone. The little lizard still didn't look hurt, but the small fella didn't look like he was ready for a full scale adventure anytime soon.

With things seemilgly calmed down, Keno turns his attention back to his new Capricolt companion. Crouching down, "Hi, i'm Keno, I'm glad to have you joining me on my adventure. That was a mighty feirce growl you had back there."

Going in for pets, as long as it's allowed, He takes a moment to connect with her. Afterwards, he removes the device everyone seems to have already booted up and attempts to do the same. With a scan, he learns more about his first pokemon. "No water moves yet, uh? That's OK, you're full of potencial; sorry about asking you to do something you couldent. I think i'll call you Gypsy, how's that?"
Returning focus to the rest of the group, "Maybe we should get going, before these birds have a change of temperment." Turning to Jason, "That door still locked?"3d6
