Kaeda wouldn't mind a cute Bulbasaur. Kaeda has Orpheus engage it with a big psychic attack. Kaeda throws out a ball to pick it up.

This time a Chikorita comes bounding out of the undergrowth. It chirps at Eve and Kaeda, seemingly demanding attention. Very odd behavior for a Wild Pokemon.

Kaeda gasps, and kneels down. "Well, hello there~! What are you up to, cutie pie?" Chikorita are so cute! She can feel as if in another life, she bonded strongly with one...

The Chikorita demanded attention but it wasn't an Eevee. Eve had to think before deciding that she was a good person and good people listened to others. By this point, Kaeda had already initiated conversation with the Chikorita, so Eve coasted easily by just hanging out in the back.

Chikorita bounces around, nuzzling against Tiki Kaeda's leg. It also rushes over to demand pets from Eve too. She's not getting out of this one so easy!
Focus to not be distracted by cuteness! If you are not distracted, roll perception. The number to beat is 20.

No way Eve was beating the focus. She gives in and pets the Chikorita. "You're really cute despite not being an Eevee." She proceeds to stretch its cheeks. "How is that possible, you little cutie?".

Chikorita greatly enjoys the pets and soaks up all the attention from the girls. It's so darn distracting and adorable that before they know it, over three hours have passed and its starting to get dark. Chikorita isn't letting up, either.

After some three hours of petting, and nuzzling, Kaeda notices the lack of sunlight. "Oh my gosh! Eve what time is it!? Geez...How long have we been loving this little thing?" She picks up the Chikorita, and looks into its eyes. "You are super adorbs! Would you like to come home with us? More love is guaranteed!"

It chirps something akin to an assent and snuggles Kaeda some more. Of course, that's about the time that the girls realize the path they were on has now somehow disappeared, even after pulling out a flashlight. Seems like the trees have closed in around them at some point somehow.

While trying to calm Eve down, Kaeda happens to spot various sets of eyes watching them from the shadows. Red eyes, to be specific. Oh, and Chikorita seems to have vanished into thin air while she was distracted.
