Snivy accepts the easy meal and allows the humans to touch it if they so desire. It has heard stories from others indicating humans have this incessant need to touch small pokemon and say things like 'aww, how cute!'.

Jane carefully petted the little snivy when opportunity presented itself. It felt a bit cliché but she couldn't help it! "Aww, how cute!"
All smiles and joy she briefly glance at Maeve. "Well? Are you going to say hi or not?"

Seeing Jane's actions and hearing Lowell's words, Maeve decides to do her part her way. Reaching out, Maeve connects to the Snivy. Maeve Channels Snivy; Snivy is not Hostile, so success is automatic. |

"What kind of question is that, what will I do? Do you think I have some kind of master plot?" Lowell jested.
"I already said what I was gonna offer the Snivy. It's not like I have 'designs' for him or something. And Jane, it's not like it's a language. Pokemon don't seem to be able to keep her out very easily. That's less like a phone call and more like having a stranger wiretap your phone"

Snivy takes this moment to interject via Maeve that the 'thing' she's doing (it doesn't really understand it either) is neither invasive nor harmful unless the user wishes it to be. Case in point, it does not feel this is invasive or harmful at all. Surprising? Most assuredly. Invasive? Some might find it such, perhaps, but at its core it does not feel that way to Snivy. It suspects most of your average Wild Pokemon would feel the same. That said, Pokemon that hang out with humans all the time may find it invasive as they've adopted human habits. Wilds are generally more open than humans like to believe, it's really just a language barrier of sorts.

"That's nice.." Jane says absentmindedly not really paying attention to the conversation around her. While it might be good if her companions got a few things of their chests, she didn't feel overly involved. Instead she could pet this snivy. Yeah that was nice!

Seeing as there seemed to be no more to be said on this topic Jane gets up. She holds out her hands for the Snivy, wondering it it would like to be carried around and petted some more or preferred to be left alone for now. Then she announced to her companions. "All right! Snivys is a really big plus but let's continue the tour. There might be other cool things too! Probably not any this cute though ..."

It seems as though Snivy would rather return to the forest around it for now. There's always the chance the humans can bump into it again, but it's certainly not the only Snivy out here.
