"Mm maybe you're right. Swaying us with your honeyed tongue and all!" Jane beamed for a moment, then groaned. Okay that was forced. She'd have to look up some good bee puns to make up for it. "But everything is possible if you just can bee positive!"

Lowell stared at Jane for about five seconds.
"I appreciate the efforts, but that one was pretty bad" he told the girl, deadpan. "I'm sure we'd be able to find some near Pewter but this one looks alright and I'd rather not spend forever searching for just the place, yknow?"
He set terms with the realtor and made an appointment for all the legal necessities and payment before pulling out his dex and booting up the holoport.
It rang for a couple seconds before the familiar face of his cousin Megumi popped up.
"Hey there, Emmie love? How's the family? I have kind of a business proposal for you right now"

"Hah figured. But practice makes perfect!" Jane beams back.
When the image comes up on Lo's dex Jane leans so she can see. It takes her mind a short moment to process and prepare the appropriate response. With a grin and a glimmer in her eyes she exclaims in "shock": "Woah! You never told us you had a girlfriend Lo! *Giggle* Are you going to ask her to Combee with you?"

"Oh, Lowell! In the middle of the forest with two girls? Oh my~" was the first thing Megumi said, before catching Jane's comment. "One of them has terrible sense of humour, though. I expected better, cuz"
Lowell exaggerated a sigh, but the smile didn't leave his face.
"S'good seeing ya too, Em. Sorry about mot visiting. Kind of got caught up in the league and similar. I know it can get a bit dull over there since Aki's the one getting all the training and stuff"
He then pulled the holocaster a bit further back so that Maeve and Jane would fit in the scene.
"Girls, this is my cousin Megumi, from Johto. Em, these two are my current travelling companions. Their names are Jane and Maeve"

Maeve smiles, happy to see that Lowell can be a fun guy to be with when someone doesn't stumble into his way. "Hello Megumi. I'm Maeve of Blackthorn. I met your cousin recently and only just joined these two."

"Hey, someone else from Johto! Go show the Kanto natives who's boss. Lowell, you too. You're part Johto, so I get to claim you. Anyways, you mentioned something about a business venture?"
Lowell nodded.
"Yep. You see, I'm buying land and turning it into a ranch, probably focused on berries and honey. Maybe also milk. It's mostly a long-term idea so that I have a place for my pokemon and the like, but you know how it goes with our family. Mom may not have inherited the Kondo ranch but she still grew up there, so she's made sure I know about the importance of similar places. And if I have the space, then might as well"
He waited just a second or two for Megumi to nod in understanding, then continued.
"However, I'm gonna be travelling. I kinda need someone to run the place for me and the like, as such. And I know that even though you're great at running the Azalea place, it's still going to Aki because of how our family does inheritance. So... want a chance to run a place? We can strike out on our own and actually compete with uncle's products eventually"

"I'd love to, but I have to go talk to my parents about why I want to move across the mountains to my cousin's place instead of staying at the Kondo ranch and play second string forever. Best of luck, though. Take care of him, mmkay? He bruises easily"
Megumi then closed the line, leaving Lowell with a very not amused face at her final comment.
"*sigh*, well that's my cousin for starters. I'm all up for some wilds hunting now, though! Life's looking up for me, it seems"

"He does?" Jane archives this knowledge for future use. It took a lot of effort to restrain herself from poking Lo right here and now, but she hoped that it would pay off later. Also would probably have been a tad bit rude.
"Well she seems like a fun type. I'm sure you won't come to regret this; too late for that now hah!" the girl beamed at Lo as he terminated the call. Yes she was sure some more fun would come out of this!
"All-right! Let's go together - it can be a bonding experience. And just in case there's something really fancy lurking here somewhere ..."

The group heads out to explore Lowell's new land and see what sort of Pokemon are hanging around. The first one they encounter is a Snivy.

"Awww! It's so cute!" Jane audibly fawns over the Snivy. "It reminds me of Ana!"
The pun-girl clearly had no intentions of fighting this adorable creature. She probably wouldn't mind if someone else tried to catch it though; who was she to deny someone the chance to have their own Snivy teammate?

Although Lowell didn't have any interest in capturing the Snivy, he did have to admit that it made for a promising, and cute find.
"Well, fancy that! Snivy are pretty rare, if I remember. Cute, too. Good for pest control... Though then again, I only train bug-types so it's safe from my pokeballs, at least. But now that I think about it..."
Lowell knelt down and held out a hand.
"You live here, little one?"

Snivy examines Lowell's hand carefully, indicating that it does indeed live here. It sees Lowell & Co are trustworthy enough. They didn't attack it immediately, so that's always nice.

Upon seeing Lowell's interest in the Snivy, Maeve prepares to try and establish a connection, only to remember how he'd reacted the last time she tried doing so in her presence. Instead, Maeve walks up to Lowell and kneels down beside him. "Listen," she whispers, "I could do that thing if you're interested in this little one. I mean, it does appear to be a wild pokémon after all..."

"'That thing'?" It takes Jane a moment to replay her earlier encounter with Maeve in her head to figure out what 'that thing' would be. Probably be. "Oh! Cool! As long as Snivy doesn't mind!"

"I'm not interested for me, no. As I said, I'm a bug trainer. I was thinking of maybe offering it a spot here and gifting it to Emmie when she gets here, though, but if you want to try for a Snivy then go for it" Lowell said with a bit of a shrug.
"As for your psychic-translator-thingy, you really don't need to act like you need to ask me permission to do your thing. Though I still think I make myself understood quite well without the need of whispering inside pokemon's minds"

"But if you have a phone why settle for yelling really loud?" Jane sprouts some semi-profound bullshit and sticks out her tongue at Lo.
Then she turns her attention back to the snivy and sits down. She pulls some Enriched Water and a Pecha berry out of her pack and offers it to the cute pokémon while making cooing noises. She's doing her part for the diplomatic action!
