Tier 3: 1d3 Lowell used his climbing skill to get to the higher branches and left the lower-hanging fruit to Maeve. He got 5 Razz, 4 Chesto, 2 Nanab, 3 Wepear, 1 Rowap, 2 Micle, 1 Aguav, 2 Salac and 2 Hondew. Dropping from the branch of the Hondew tree with his harvest done, Lowell bent down to collect some soil to use as fertilizer then walked back to Maeve. "So, that's that. Are you going back to wherever you found that Weepinbell now?"6d3·4d3·1d3

"I probably should," Maeve replies. "The tree the Weepinbell was hanging from was next to the main path back to Saffron City, so I suppose I'll head that way and see if he's still there." Maeve secures her pack before turning to Lowell. "Care to join me on the way back, or at least help me not sir up another Beedrill's nest?"

It's not difficult for Lowell to follow their path back out of the forest and onto the path. From there, it's a simple matter to orient oneself towards Saffron and head out. Along the way, the pair do in fact find that same Weepinbell. Right where Maeve left it, of course.

"If it is hocus-pocus, then it's so subtle that even I don't know how I do it," Maeve replies. Walking back up to the Weepinbell, Maeve approaches with a smile and a wave of her hand in greeting. "Thanks for your help earlier," she says. "I found several berry trees with their berries ripe and ready. And like I promised, I brought one for you as thanks."
Reaching around, Maeve pulls her pack forward and opens it to show the berries inside. "Which one would you like?"

Weepinbell reaches out with one of its vines and gingerly takes one of the Razz berries. It pops the berry into its mouth and makes a noise to indicate thanks.

Maeve smiles and closes her bag, returning it to its proper place. "It was my pleasure. Bye-bye!" Maeve says with a wave as she returns to Lowell.
"Now then," Maeve says playfully, "you said you had some shopping to do and that you wanted to find a trainer to battle, right?"

"Mmm..?" Jane is stirred from her restful nap. There were some strange noise intruding upon her dreams. And somehow it followed her into the waking world too! Hmm... How could this be? And what was it? Hmmm-hmm... It sounded vaguely familiar. But it wasn't her alarm, no but close. Something similar? "Oh!" Of course! A new message! Rolling towards her pokedex Jane threw out an arm to grab it and pull it close underneath her sheets. With blinking eyes she starded to decipher the message and formulate a reply.

Message sent, Lowell left his parents' home and meandered around until he found an abandoned building of some kind. He released his entire team and, queueing up a good training hip hop mix, flung himself at the wall then started the climb up.

Somewhere around lunch time Jane looks at the time and realizes she should be somewhere. Somewhere a bit far away in not too many minutes. Oh right darn! She squinted at the time again. Maaybe she could make the appointed time. Unless the bus decided to mess up again. Ah well nothing to do about that but hurry!
Once she was on the bus, which she could only hope wouldn't stop at too many red lights, she decided to text her new friends.

Her grooming completed and noticing the time, Maeve begins to leave the park and look for a marketplace; oftentimes the best food available is local. A buzzing in her pocket, however, changes her plans. Pulling out her pokédex, Maeve flips it open and checks the alert; it was a text from Jane, that nice girl she'd met the day before. "An invite to help with ranch hunting," Maeve thinks aloud before writing and sending a reply. Hey Jane. I'd love to. When and where? |

Once his morning training was done Lowell made a pit stop by his parents' to wash up and get some food. He sent Jane a message as he was leaving home.
