"I'm going to head over and pick some stuff up along with my flight license. I should be back from Pewter tomorrow if everything goes well. Wish me luck!" Song gave a small wave and a smile as she headed out of the gym toward the stores.

Calling out her Noivern, Song hops on and checks the map on her 'Dex. She gives an excited cheer as she nudges Mu to take to the skies for Pewter!

Mu eagerly takes to the skies, quickly reaching the maximum altitude for trainer-guided flight. It takes no more than an hour to reach Pewter City by air. Yup. Looks about how one might expect it to: lots of stone architecture, everything (except the omnipresent pokemon center) in shades of grey, pale blue, or brown. Very earthy colors. Until you get to the Gym that is, where purple and black banners waft gently in the breeze, representing the current Leader's clan. Entering the Gym, Song is greeted by a young, tan-skinned woman with white hair. She bows respectfully. "Welcome to Pewter City Gym. Are you here for the Gym Challenge, or just visiting?" |

"Good luck to both of you!" Jane cheered. She'd take a quick trip to the pokecenter herself and then come back to watch Love try on the gauntlet. Pewter was simply too far away! (Maybe should pick up a flight license too?) But also - maybe watching someone else fighting the fighting types would give her some tips for her own upcoming fighting fight?

"Mm I saw tons of fire punches myself, I'd expected to meet the ice one, but eh I guess they just like the flashiness. Anyhow! Looked close so almost there." Jane replied with a shrug. Her own attempt could have crashed and burned in several spots. (Luckily it hadn't!) So she couldn't really contain *all* her joy only damper it. With a small smile she dug into her pockets and produced a small paper bag of hard candies. Very similar to those the pkmn center offered while you waited. "Candy? Makes everything feel a little better for a while. Well except tooth ache I guess!
"So are you going to try again tomorrow? I'll need to nurse Ana's bruises a bit so there's still plenty of time to catch up." Jane prodded Lo. She was a bit curious to see how he would handle this small setback. Also, since she wasn't really doing much tomorrow, she wanted something to watch.
And Aurora was looking to challenge as well right? Jane of course offered her some candy too. Maybe that would prove to be the small edge she'd need to triumph!

"I'm not really feeling bad, but the candy's appreciated nonetheless. Yeah, I'll give it a shot tomorrow. That basically came down to me gambling once or twice and not winning the gambles, so there aren't really many or any adaptations to my core strategy that I need to make" Lowell said.

Aurora rolled the candy over in her fingers, oddly fascinated by the piece of candy. When she was directly addressed, her golden eyes flickered over to Jane.
"Of course I am. Don't feel like waiting around any longer. Shame what happened to Lowell..." Her gaze turned to the bug boy, and was there the slightest hint of a chuckle in that voice? "But I probably won't have the same issue. Probably."

Jane went to the store to replenish the three leftovers she used up and then she headed to the pokémon center. Her team deserved a good rest - and they needed the medical attention too! Jane herself set up camp at one of the tables. She was content to spend the evening with her healthy pokémon, cuddle and work on turning some Shards into Gems.

The next day Jane spent most of the morning plotting and planning for her run at the gym leader. To that end she took a trip to her Ranch to tutor Mr Mine a bit and swung by the store to pick up TM44. It might come in handy in the slug fest she predicted! Hopefully ...
Then she trained and tried to fit in a pair of trainer matches before lunch. After lunch she'd call up her friends to chat a bit and go for some Mawile baiting.

Mawile baiting attracts a random Skitty. As seems to be the norm, it is enticed by the smell, sees Mawile, then decides it doesn't want to get close. Mawile can be scary, it seems. Who knew!

Song returned the next morning, riding her Noivern. She dismounted gingerly and hobbled toward the Center. There was a heavy cast around her ankle, though she seemed familiar with it's encumbrance.
Frowning slightly upon seeing her new friends, Song shrugged off any questions. "It's pretty obvious that I'm not at the level to push through the entire Gym Challenge. I'll be staying behind to heal and continue to train at the Gym until I'm strong enough. Keep me up to date with your progress, ok?"

Maeve looks on with joy at the variety of berry trees before them. "There are so many," she exclaims, "and they're fully in bloom! Even if we were to take a couple berries from each tree, there'd still be plenty left for the natural wildlife." A quick overview of the berry types present left Maeve with an urge to joke at Lowell's earlier claim, but she puts it aside for now; she's caused him enough trouble as it is. With careful steps, Maeve walks over to the trees and inspects the berries... Maeve inspects the berries on each tree and looks for which ones are ripe and ready! Rolls are in order of Tier:

Tier 3: 1d3 Looking over the berries, their springiness, firmness, and general color, Maeve picks out what she believes are some good-quality berries from the lower trees.
