Shossk gradually emerges from his own tent. After taking in his surroundings, he immediately sets to making a fire, his movements noticeably slower than usual. Oddly, though, he doesn't seem any less alert. Rather, it's as though he's simply moving at two-thirds speed as he lights the kindling. Minutes later after warming himself near the fire this oddity disappears, and he's moving about as usual. As everyone is waking, Shossk decides to try out his newly-acquired mushroom knowledge. Mushrooms aren't hard to find around the husk of the enormous, fallen tree they the group used as their campsite, and before long Shossk is cooking up some diced Big Mushroom. The results are... bland. It's not bad, the Hearty Meal is filling and energizing, but it's as though it was cooked solely for efficiency purposes. "Wwhat shall we do now?" Shossk asks between swallowing bits of mushroom whole. "Should we conntinue to the next island?"

Iris is... Well, Iris never had to wake up early, even when chasing and being chased by gods, so she woke up rather late. Not completely into midmorning late, but certainly some time towards the end of Shossk cooking mushrooms. In fact, it was probably the smell of the cooking mushrooms that woke her. Even then, Iris just sort of groggily laid about before turning herself with a heave onto the other side, telling herself the lie that she would sit up from this new position.
Ha. No way. However, Iris does meet halfway between her desire to laze and her need to get to work. She crawls forwards to stick just her head out of the tent to see what was going on. Shossk, at least, was eating the cooking mushrooms that she had smelled earlier.
<Turq? Where was Turq?> Iris's mind slipped in her half-awake state. Turq, the freaking morning riser, had always been the one that would flip, sometimes literally, the sleepy Iris and Amy awake. Turq, however, was no longer here, and it took a bit for Iris to remember that.
...
Iris head turned back into her tent, where she looked at the all too familiar Moon Ball that contained... the Zorua. She couldn't continue considering the black fox as a malicious object. One day was too short to ascertain that she wasn't being tricked, but at the same time, one day was too long to be ignored. Iris had even made Light sleep in the pokeball.
with a poke, Iris activated the pokeball, releasing Light from the ball. If this was a fall, then so be it. She would take the risk because damn her bleeding heart.
The tiny Zorua popped out and the first thing she did was give a good morning yelp. It appeared, contrary to her type, that Light was a morning person. What a fitting name Light was turning out to be. Following the yelp, Nuzzle had begun sniffing at the air, trying to locate the source of the smell, which, one located, she began to salivate in the direction of.
"Go eat," Iris gave permission as she wriggled up into a seated position, still completely against leaving the warmth of her sleeping bag.
"Yip?"
"Yes, and good morning to you."
"Yip!" As happy as can be, the Zorua dashed to the warm campfire to dine. After a series of fox sounds that sounded like she was thanking Shossk for the food, the Zorua began to daintily poke her nose, carefully bite a mushroom piece without touching the others, pull out the target mushroom, and begin eating it on the ground.
Iris belatedly realized, <Oh, yeah... I need to help Zorua get the food.> With a zombie groan, the teen finally rose fully and dragged her feet to the food. Using the lid of a collection jar as a spoon/plate of sorts, Iris separated mushrooms for herself and Light to eat from the communal pan.
The meal wasn't amazing or anything, but it was nutritional and eating it did wake Iris up. To answer Shossk's question, she requested, "Actually, I remember seeing some pretty interesting structures from above. These... uh... blocky pyramid things. I want to explore them."

Layl rolled her eyes a little at that. Exploring wasn't their main goal, and she was a bit exasperated that Iris wanted to go do that rather than finish the annoying task they had been given. The only reason she didn't comment was that maybe they would gather some more companions to call their own. "I suppose we could. Bolsterin' our forces will certainly help in the long run"

"A temple," Shossk considers aloud. "Ssuch places could have equipment to scavenge. It could alsso be dangerous. If there are valuables, there are offten traps to guard them. There could also be otherr groups inside, or they may ambush us when wwe leave." Shossk tilts his head marginally in thought. "...I believe the risk is wworth the reward."
Seeing Light share in Iris' portion of her meal, Shossk is reminded of his own pokemons' needs. Again he resorts to dismantling one of the two remaining sandwiches in his paper Bag of Holding, giving a grateful Calt the meaty bits. "Wwe will also need to find a source of meat that will not dissappear. The jungle will provide for the rest of us."

Yoko, who had been quiet for majority of the morning, finally spoke up. "I'm okay with exploring the pyramids," she said.

Everyone seemed to be for the temple, which was great. "Awesome, then we'll head there after cleaning up." She's pleased, but she doesn't let that distract her from Shossk's very valid point. "Although, before that..."
"Food is important," Iris agrees. She's a vegetarian, herself, but she's not an idiot who'll try to feed a Growlithe a completely herbivorous diet. She pauses, tempted to use her visions to find the answer. Instead, she first suggests, "Shossk, actually, could you try thinking of how you can obtain meat that doesn't vanish?". She understands immediately how bizarre her suggestion sounds, and is quick to explain herself. "Ah. Um... I know that sounds weird, but like... ... Yeah, it is weird, but that's kind of how I know all this stuff about Pokemon I've never seen. I think about the what I know about the Pokemon and the information just pops up. Does that... make a bit more sense? I'm sorry if it doesn't..."

Shossk tilts his head slightly at Iris' phrasing. He had already suggested a course of action on obtaining meat, yesterday. Had she forgotten? Perhaps, though she was specifically asking Shossk to envision it in his own mind. Then his head raises fractionally in recognition. "Yyou wish to know if the AL creature will grant us this knowledge. I will try."Then Shossk turns to... look at nothing in particular, just staring off into space as he tries to think of where or how on were to hunt for meat in this demiplane. He has his own suspicions. There are predators that live here, so they must get their meat from somewhere. He suspects that when a native carnivore kills something the body stays, so he had suggested the day before that the group would have to steal a kill from one such animal. Shossk tries to think whether he was correct in this assumption, or if there is some other method.
