Layl gives a thumbs up to Shossk as he explained the plan. Hopefully Fantasia would listen for this. Layl picked herself up off the ground, dusting herself off with her hand, before walking over to the Peafoul. "Well, Fantasia, we're going to fly down there, so it's time to try this whole thing" Layl went to pet it's plumage first, to see if it would cooperate with her. She just needed it to glide her down for a safe landing, but she'd rather not be intentionally dropped.

Layl
Fantasia glares up at Layl but allows herself to be pet. After Layl is done she pecks the ground a few times before rising and standing near Layl.
Shossk
At Shossk's command the Prismavian lets go of the breath it was holding, the sparks slowly begin to flash within the puffs of clouds surrounding it until it lights the area up once more.
As Calt descends the first thing he sees is the lake spreading far below, broken by the occasional ripple or splash but the beach immediately beneath the group appears to be clear of any motion. Flying out over the small stand of trees separating the beach from the clearing, Calt cannot see through the dense canopy but only the rustle of leaves and the occasional creak of a tree swaying in the breeze can be heard. Continuing out over the open field Calt sees that the roughly circle clearing contains several tents scattered across it, two near the central fire the others on the side furthest from the water. Two figures are seated by the fire, seemingly discussing something in low tones. One appears to be covered in thick fur with a snout and small ears, it has a burly build and several ornaments hanging off of its back the most visible of these appears to be a pair of antlers. The other wears a bright green cloak with a dappling of yellow spots on it. From his current angle, Calt cannot see their face as they are looking down at the fire. Although their build is far more slight than their companion, at their belt a pair of sheathed swords can be seen.

Layl gives Fantasia a look over, before nodding her head. It seems doable, at the very least, and worst case she can survive a drop that high, she just didn't want to make too much noise when she landed. Layl pointed to the planned destination and curled her arms up like wigs before making some flapping motions. After a moment of this, she remembered that they somewhat understood language, and she was acting stupid for no reason.
"Uh...ignoring what just happened, I need you to carry me down, think you can do that?" Layl started scratching the back of her head in embarrassment, she's done worse, but not with these people. They didn't know how much of a dork she was yet.

Fantasia looked at Layl and then glanced over the edge, tilting her head she narrowed its eyes seeming to actually consider the question without dismissing it. Finally, after a few moments she turns back to Layl and gives a strange movement of her wings that you can only assume is a shrug.

As Calt does his scouting, Shossk goes to find his Floappull, who he'd almost forgotten to collect. Around when Shossk gets back, Calt eventually returns to the upper island to relay what it saw, eagerly gesturing with a wing towards the empty beach near the encampment (possibly with Iris filling in some details). Shossk gives Calt a nod, then turns and steps towards the Prismavian. "It is time. Dousse your light until we land." He then awkwardly clambers onto the big fluffy bird, clings onto some part buried underneath all the fluff, and nudges the bird towards the edge of the island. Hopefully he follows Calt down to the beach without incident(?).

Layl checked to make sure everyone was put away, putting everyone but Fantasia into their ball. Well, it was now or never. Layl turned to the Peafoul and gave it the go ahead. "Well, I'm gonna jump, try and catch me and get me down, Ready?" She let Fantasia decide it's stance on the matter, getting ready to run and jump off the edge. When the Peafoul gives a confirmation, she's prepared to so. Worst case, she would tuck and roll, it wouldn't help the sound of landing much, but it should at least help a little.

The focus she required to share Calt senses had deprived her of the chance to stare at Layl in bewilderment the first time she explained to her Pokemon her plan. The second time, however, was not the same. Iris, who had just finished assisting Calt in explaining the location of the best landing spot, turned to Layl in bewilderment. "Wait Layl, no," was her immediate response, eyes wide and ears all too used to hearing similarly ridiculous ideas. She had thought she wouldn't need to worry about this sort of common nonsense any more. Of course she cared for Xenna and Trey, but that didn't mean she didn't have to feel relief knowing that she wouldn't need to stop them from jumping off the 10th floor of a high rise building ever again. Except, here she was, attempting to stop a supposedly sensible Layl from doing even worse. Iris tries to talk sense into her travel buddy, "Layl, what will you do if your Peafoul doesn't manage to catch you? Or if your Peafoul isn't strong enough? You could die from this height if something goes even a little wrong with your jump."

Layl narrowed her eyes at the actual stupidity being spouted at her. No one ever died from falling! Not without a bed of spikes or something involved! "Are you...stupid? I've jumped this height before, it's as simple as can be. I just don't want to make a lot of sound!" She got out of her readied pose, turning to Iris to explain basic jumping to the girl. She also placed a hand on her hip, her other hand beginning to wag a finger at the girl. "As long as you land on your feet, jumping never killed anyone, and last I checked, I'm not jumping into a field of spikes or anything like that!"

What was Iris going to do? Explain common sense? After a moment of looking rather lost at Layl's explanation, Iris figured that physics must have just worked in some crazy fashion wherever she came from, and there was really no way to prove it without putting someone in danger. Iris doubted it, but there was a chance that Layl was right. What was certain, however, was that Layl being wrong meant serious damage while Iris being wrong meant that she was just wrong, nothing else. How to convince Layl, who looked at Iris with such derisive eyes, of that, though? "Everywhere I've been so far, free-falling from here to down there would kill most people," Iris figured she'd just say what she wanted to, "and considering how fast we were falling when we dropped in here, I'm inclined to think that we would have been dead if it weren't for the magic bouncing barrier, which I don't think will be making a repeat appearance."

While Iris and Layl discuss the intricacies of inter-dimensional travel Shossk, Prismavian and Calt make their way below in a shroud of darkness. Moving silently enough to avoid the nocturnal predators of the sky lazily wheeling their way from one meal to the next. Lightly setting down on the beach with only the slightest of noises he's ready to move on to the next phase, even if the rest of the group is not quite.

Layl's eyebrow raised, that must have been a horrible world to live in, death by falling happens, but death by jumping? That's unimaginable! "That's horrible! All the worlds I've been to haven't had that issue, you must just have bad luck to be born on a world like that!" Layl still wasn't convinced, but she could wait for one of the mounts to come back if it would placate Iris, besides, they could talk about their worlds while they waited!

Thank the gods, Layl believed her and was apparently willing to wait. That meant Iris could relax, and ask what was really bugging her curiosity. "Bad luck? I wouldn't call it that, but that's because it's always been like that for me. Dying by falling from too high up was just another thing to worry about," Iris explained. Then she asked, "Really, your worlds sound amazing, though. How did that work? Not dying by falling from too high, that is. Was there not much gravity or something?".

Layl shook her head at Iris' question. That was a ridiculous assumption. "No, we have gravity. Just land on your feet and you're fine, simple as that." Layl points to her feet for emphasis, realizing now that her feet are a bit bigger than Iris'...nah, it couldn't be her feet. That would be silly. "Maybe...you guys just have weak bodies? Or maybe your bones are especially weak? Uh...I'm not good at anatomy..."

Iris looked down at Layl's feet and shook her head. "No, I don't think it's that. I mean, sure, I'm weak compared to all of you, but I knew someone who could dent boulders with his head, and even he wouldn't be able to jump this height like it was nothing." She shrugged, still unable to think of anything. "Maybe it's just some sort of weird 'rule' in your world, or I guess a weird rule in mine if I were to look from your perspective? I've been through places like that, where certain things are different but nothing else is changed. Like... a pile of leaves cushioning my fall from a portal really high up being enough to prevent me from taking any damage, to give a pretty familiar example."

Shossk half dismounts, half rolls off the Prismavian, leaving it significantly ruffled. After a quick inspection of his surroundings, he turns back to the thundercloud bird. "Returnn to the others, then carry one of them back here." He pauses for a second, remembering Iris' words. "Yyou may relax. It is not important to remain unsseen on your way up, but you are to darken yyourself as you descend."Leaving the Prismavian to its devices, Shossk shifts into the trees to hide and observe the landing area until the others arrive.

Nodding sullenly the Prismavian lets out her held breath before rising into the air once more, returning once more to stand beside Iris and Layl.

Layl waves at the bird, turning back to Iris for one last comment. "So my feet cushion falls...?" She scratches her head at that thought...her feet were bigger than Iris'. She shook her head, time to stop that train of thought. "I-i'm gonna head on then, since you can see, alrighty?"She moves to get on the Prismavian, patting the bird to make sure it's alright before returning her Peafoul.

Layl
The Prismavian seem's to be in good shape, it seems a bit tired but nothing physically wrong with it. Once Layl is safely aboard Prismavian once more reduces her light and descends to the beach once again.
Shossk
Shossk blends into the deep shadows of the foliage quite easily. Continuing to not attract any unwanted attention.

Layl hops off the bird, giving it a thumbs up after she lands. "Good job! Just one more time now...i think?" Layl looks around confusedly, there was another one, so maybe it wasn't needed to go back. Layl didn't really listen to the flier plans since she had decided to use her own method, but now that she had been talked out of it, she had no clue what was going on anymore. "Well, you do you, I'm gonna start sneaking" She flashes the bird a grin and another thumbs up, before attempting to barely enter the foliage, mostly just trying to hide until Iris arrived. "You have donne well," Shossk seconds, stepping out of the foliage, "but your light will draw attention."
Without another word, Shossk returns the Prismavian back to its ball. He casts a glance towards where Layl disappeared before hiding himself once again, waiting for the others.
