"Attention passengers! Now approaching Elysium Station. This is the last and final stop, all passengers must depart at this time. Please ensure to collect all of your belongings. Once again, now approaching Elysium Station!" The voice on the loudspeaker was crisp and clear, booming throughout the air-conditioned compartments of the high speed mag-rail. The squeal and clatter of metal rang out as the train approached the destination, a low humming growing quieter as the train came to a slow rolling stop. Today's train, was a very special train indeed, only housing four people of various backgrounds and beliefs. The train rolls to a stop, and with a hiss of wind the doors slide apart. The scent of overly processed air torn apart by the harsh scents of the outside world, the scents of metal and man mingling into a cocktail that anyone would attribute to the large densely populated city expanse.
The station is dimly lit, the dull buzzing of long coils contained in sturdy glass tubes filling it with both light and ambient noise. A lone figure stands before the doors, back leaned against what might have once been a map of the city, now covered in various layers of paint. He is a figure that you all recognize, if only by face and yet none of you know his name. All that is known is that he is the mysterious benefactor that is interested in tipping the scales of the war, with suspiciously few desires for the power that might entail. His arms are folded behind his back but creep froward, spreading them out towards your group. "Welcome to New Albion's Elysium Station my friends. I hope the ride wasn't unpleasant? I'm so happy to finally meet you all personally." His voice is clear albeit a bit... unsettling for reasons you can't quite place. "I trust that all of the accommodations were in order? Let's get started shall we? If you have any questions we can walk and talk." Then, without so much as waiting for an answer he turns away, shoes clicking into the tile beneath his feet as he walks at a leisurely pace, whistles ringing out of his throat as he descends towards a slope, leading down into the station proper.

Lyzare had stood up and promptly brushed himself off the moment the train had begun its approach to the station. Perhaps it had been willful ignorance, but he hadn't realized that the three others he'd casually made conversation with on the train had... apparently been all out to meet the same enigmatic fellow as he was!
"Well! How wonderful is that?" he says to the others with a wide vulpine grin after their guide had stopped speaking. Lyzare glances in particular at the fellow slightly older than he was who had been the most conversational of the trio during the journey. "It seems we'll be spending a bit more time together, for whatever purpose. I do love a good mystery! Lead the way, friend."
He carefully slides his shades down to the bridge of his nose once more. Sunlight or not, he wasn't about to advertise the twinge of discomfort that rippled its way through his thoughts. Wasn't he supposed to be working alone? They hadn't told him that there would be others, so... what, exactly, was going on?
Guess we're going to find out soon enough, he muses, keeping his back straight and chin held high as he strides purposefully after the strange meeting-man.

Hobart listened to the announcement as they began the final stretch into the station. He looked around at the other three occupants of the car as they coasted in, he stood a little over all of their heads. The man was pretty close but the two girls were shorter. Of the three he only recognized the man, who was… Lyzare… Something or other. He’d seen the man plastered all over the city but hadn’t ever really interacted with him. His airy demeanor reminded him a lot of the aristocrats back home but the man had made small talk pleasantly enough. The one with the long blonde hair kind of made him uneasy, he wasn’t quite sure why and the redhead seemed to be alright if a bit overly formal. As they slowed to a stop Hobart retrieved his luggage from the overhead compartment and slung it round his back. He waited until the others stepped off before following. As they got off he looked the man who greeted them up and down. Seemed young but Hobart couldn’t really get a bead on him yet, he’d definitely seen him before. It appeared that these others were his equivalents from the other factions. Lyzare made sense but he didn’t know why the others were chosen. “The ride vas fine, dank hyu. It iz goot to make you acquaintance.” He said taking a quick bow. Once the talkative man had spoken he replied as he followed. “It seems so. Ve’ll jusht hef to unravel diz vun as it comes to us.” He wasn’t quite sure about this man, something was off. As he began to walk away Hobart followed attempting to get a word in. “Hy do vonder vy ve hef been called. Diz eclectic bunch together iz a bit fonny. Hy’m sure dere’s some purpose, yas?”
The ride was fine, thank you. It is good to make your acquaintance.
It seems so. We’ll just have to unravel this one as it comes to us.
I do wonder why we have been called. This eclectic bunch together is a bit funny I’m sure there’s some purpose, yes?

Abagail spent the ride in the back of the groups compartment, nose in her tablet. Anyone that might've peered over her shoulder would've seen incomprehensible symbols she's manipulating somehow, clearly not happy with them. Next to her rode her perpetual side-kick, her ralts, trying in vain to understand the glyphs his master is studying. She tried her hardest not to notice the idle chatter from her train-mates, hoping they were going wildly different place.
As the train screeches to a halt she gets up, waiting for the doors to open so that she could go about her business. Although, as the man that appeared began to talk she realized that was futile, they were apparently on the same mission as her. Abigail has no clue why such disparate people would be called on the same task, and was under the impression that she alone was sent to help this figure. As they walk questions boil inside her until they come to the surface, "I understand the need for discretion, but your instructions were frustratingly vague. Can I please have a little more detail on what you want me... I mean us, I guess, to do. I do my best work with a bit of preparation." She winces after the words come out of her mouth, he's a very important person and she wouldn't want to piss off the guy paying her checks.

Alyx had paid token courtesy to the model, Lyzare was someone she could respect even if it was mostly his body. Mulling it over in distracted silence she decided she liked the pictures of him better, they didn't make nearly so much noise! She had thought the other two were nobodies until, like her, they rose at the final middle of bumfuck nowhere train stop. Why Daddy would ever encourage her to be here of all places was out of her mental grasp, but she was extremely interested to hear what sort of white knight bullshit was going to come out of the little dandy's mouth.
"Awful far to be dragging me, just to go even further, you'd have to be pretty brave or pretty stupid to be yanking so many chains at once. You got an hour to impress me before I walk." Alyx flipped her hair over her shoulders, her outfit a short sporty affair with open toed pumps, a black pleated skirt with red pinstripes, with a matching vest and blouse combo.

"Well, if that's the case, then feel free to walk.~" The group could almost hear the smirk in his voice as he directed his flippant disregard her way, his hands trailing along the wall as he descended into the eerily quiet station, as though this particular stop was completely void of pedestrian traffic. "Vagueness is to be expected my other dear, after all. You four are going to change to world... how you do it, is up to you. I'm just here to see what happens at the end. I will tell you the moves the major players are making, I will be helping you manage your resources, but I will not be going on this adventure with you and we'll simply say that you'll learn to work together for your best interests hmm?" His voice was effervescent, and far too airy and gleeful for the current situation as he walks at the head of the group, trailing down snakes and turns in the structure before approaching what appears to be an abandoned door, the frame practically worn away and lost against the steel slabs of wall to either side. His knuckles rapidly drummed into the door which slowly creaked open, seemingly by itself however a few faint blurs in the environment seem to sway and move away, the sounds of claws clinking against metal sounding out. With the back of his hand he pushes the door open more, holding it open for the group. Inside, various monitors beep and glow, stacks of files and books sit in haphazard heaps, boards of cork and white dot the walls, written upon or plastered with various papers and strings. "I have the resources you need darlings, all you have to do is decide to work together, and you can make monuments and legends fall before your very eyes."

Lyzare dared not touch the rails--nor the walls, eugh--as they descended. Doing his best not to be distracted by the location, he listened to each word their guide offered, trying to pick apart the meanings to see if they had answers to any of his questions. Seemed like they weren't all working for his bosses, then--but the four of them were supposed to work together anyways? The room he led them to set Lyzare's nerves on end, and actually drew a slight frown to his usually-trained expression. What he was looking at seemed to shift, there but not there-- what were those blurs? Not pokemon he recognized, though he was hardly a pokemaniac. His gaze slid around the rest of the room. A meeting room, of sorts. Not as comfortable as my dressing rooms, but it'll have to do."Working together should not be so very difficult," he murmured with a smile, trying to meet the eyes of each of his new companions. "I think we're all in agreement that New Albion is in need of a few changes, no? We would not be here if we were not interested in what our darling guide has to say. I, for one, would not shy from having my name written into history." He winks at that. "Whoever is on board... perhaps this would be a good time to introduce ourselves properly. It would be my pleasure to start; I am Lyzare Crowe, and it is my honor to make your acquaintances."He gives a genuine-looking smile to each of you in turn; first the gentleman, then the woman who'd asked for more information, and last to the... young lady, he supposed, who demanded to be impressed. He wasn't sure she'd take the offer, but it was worth extending his charm regardless, he supposed. Tried to win the others over to like him a little bit, if they don't already!
Charm 12.

Abagail can't help but smirk, she knows this man is trying to work together, she decides to play along. "I couldn't care less about the history books, I've found them to be, unhelpful." Abigail responds cryptically, "I am happy to help out with whatever this is about, I am getting payed for this afterall, aren't I?" She glances at their strange patron, then extends her hand, "I'm Abigail Ava, likewise."She takes a look at her other would be companions. She needs to get a look at the other man's augments later, they seem incredibly detailed. The brat on the other hand, it seems as though she won't be a part of their little fledgling team, not that Abigail can see much value in her staying around. Intuition, also 12

Hobart nodded slightly at the comment about walking, really if she was going to be difficult why be here? There was no use fighting when they’d already arrived, why else were they here if they were just going to fight. As they proceeded deeper into the station the distinct lack of people was rather ominous. Was the base inside a train station? It would be useful for getting places quickly but surely someone would notice that there was a terminal that was not in use. He’d have to look into things later. He agreed with the man’s statement if they were to prevent quite a bit of bloodshed they would definitely need to work as a team, at least from what he understood about this whole deal. He really was still quite unsure about all of this though. When they approached the door, Hobart watched intently as their guide performed staccato drumming with his knuckles. There were some strange noises and a blurred effect before the door opened, he wasn’t quite sure if it was a mechanism or some sort of Pokémon. He made another mental note to find out. Inside the room felt quite familiar to him, he’d done research in rooms that looked sort of like this. Walking inside he approached one of the corkboards and began reading while muttering to himself. "Ho, diz iz quite a bit uf information. Hyu musht hef been busy already, has diz been in de vorks for a vile? Or vere hyu expectink someting else und a new chance arose?" Turning back to the group as Lyzare spoke up he nodded, he hoped that working together would not be a problem either. As for change, he doubted any of them were seeking the same sort so he kept quiet on that front. "It iz goot to meet hyu all, my neme iz Hobart Schmidt." With that Hobart gave a stiff bow. Listening to the Abigail introducing herself he nodded and piped in. "At times like dese, ve musht remember. The Third Letter to de Unovan’s 12:25 says dot: Those dot seek feme for its own sake may vun day find dot it has turned to ash in deir mouths. He dot doz for de sake uf odders shall be granted succor eternal." Thinking for a moment he turned toward their guide. "Und vot iz you neme, ve hef not been introduced yet."
Ho, this is quite a bit of information. You must have been busy already, has this been in the works for a while? Or were you expecting something else and a new chance arose?
It is good to meet you all, my name is Hobart Schmidt.
At times like these, we must remember. The Third Letter to the Unovan’s 12:25 says that: Those that seek fame for its own sake may one day find that it has turned to ash in their mouths. He that does for the sake of others shall be granted succor eternal.
And what is your name, we have not been introduced yet.

Why does that smile have to be so... Alyx diverted her attention away from Lyzare, instead concentrating on the retreating of the blurred shapes. Oddly flushed, she tried to look bored with the whole affair but everywhere she looked there was a tidbit of something that she could use. Visually tasting anything she could immediately pick up on, she had a folder in hand before it was even clear to do so, and had begun skimming it's contents. "Alyx." She offered no last name, and it was typically better that way. Names carried weight, and while her family wasn't well enough known, it throws off the whole spread to be completely open in situations like this.
"Maybe I got off the train on the wrong foot." She half mumbled an apology before looking up at their host over the top edge of the folder. "You said topple an empire? That's about all I need to hear."

"Ah good good, we all seem to be getting along famously now yes? As for myself you can just call me Cam, though for formalities sake my full name is Cameron DeLeon." He then gave a bit of an over exaggerated bow as he flashes a knowing smirk in each of your directions. He then walks across the berth of the crowded room, wheeling a board out and flipping it over, four images prominently displayed on it. "There are a number of events that will be going on soon, but I figured that I should... catch you all up on the major players. Though by no doubt you're all very aware of these four already." He brings the board closer, the images a bit more clear now: President Veronica Daweson, Pastor Maur Lambsbridge, C.E.O. Theodore Almsbrooke, and Don Candice DuVal. His eyes wander over your various reactions as he leans against a wall, a hand idly brushing against a knee-height blur at his side. "I know that some of you may be... wary about the information I can and will provide. But keep in mind that I currently have no wish to get involved directly myself, and if no little birdies sing too loudly well... we can keep it that way yes?" The "friendly benefactor" grinned more, the gesture... seeming less than benign coupled with his previous statement.

Abagail scans over the board, overwhelmed by the amount of the information. She has little opinion on the pastor or the Don, but she's never had much love for the president. As for Theodore, she met the CEO once and he did not leave a good impression, they say he's 32 but he did not act his age.
"Your reputation precedes yourself, I trust your information. As for signing, let's just say I was never in any choirs," She tries to be sly.

Lyzare lets his gaze fall across the board, spending equal time on each photograph in turn. He'd seen most--but certainly not all of these 'major players' before, and wasn't particular partial to any of them. Nevertheless, work was work, and he'd do what he had to. Though he did wonder what some of these elites would do if he got in their way...
He shook his head, then looked towards the blurry shape at Cam's side. "Mr DeLeon, dare I as what your curious companion is? I've never seen anything of the like."

Hobart took each image in as he scanned each in turn. He'd of course seen the President before, you'd have to live under a rock not to have. The CEO was known to him but he'd never seen an image of them before. He had seen an image of Maur but hadn't met him either. The only one he hadn't heard of before was Du'Val, he tried his best to commit that bright red hair to memory. He nodded as he replied. "Hy tink ve can all vork together nizely."

Alyx's expression had taken on a darker cast, her upper lip twitching a little as though she might sneer or snarl at any second. Her attention had been riveted to the image of Don DuVal so intently with the boiling, seething hatred behind her eyes that Cam's thinly veiled threat was lost on her. When she could finally tear her eyes from that image, her face was flush as a virgin's might be, breathing labored. The girl un-clenched her fingers, having left deep marks in her palms, and busied herself in another file. She had said so much without a single word.

Cam's eyes seemed to positively glimmer at the bevy of reactions before him. lips curled into an all too content grin. His hand tenderly caressing the curve of the blur at its side, as he glanced down, speaking a few soft words. Some of the blur peeled away, revealing the true face of the Pokemon at his side, a green and yellow face of reptilian variety peering out, eyes seeming to stare in separate directions. Cam then spoke again, "This is Placebo, one of my many assistants. After all without them this... workshop would be even more of mess than it would already be. Now then! I believe you're all eager to get started and to leave this stuffy building, yes? I have taken the liberty of outlining some major events coming up, you're free to decide on whichever one you'd like though... the timing for them is unfortunate as you'll only be able to get to one in time. Ah! Before I forget, splitting up to tackle more than one is... unadvised." He seemed to speak as things were recalled to his memory but he walked over to one of the cork boards, Placebo blurring back into the background of cluttered information.
There seemed to be a number of locations with writing scrawled upon layers of papers next to them, made easy to peruse:
The Rally; The Zeitgeist are holding another one of their rallies... though this one seems to be slated for the dead of night, rumors are that a high ranking disciple is said to show up.
The Job Faire; as always Malphas Unlimited is looking for more employees, and a branch owner is said to be holding a seminar for new recruits during this night-time event.
The Recruitment Drive; Kavaar United needs more soldiers in an effort to calm the discord, a general himself is seeking to bolster the troops with encouraging words!
The Shakedown; The DuVal family is known for extorting funds from some of the local businesses, but rumor has it a few haven't been paying up, it sounds like an important thug will be coming in to "collect" soon. All the events seem to be dated for two days from now, with start times ranging withing hours of each other, different sections of the city marked down as their locations.
Cam even wrote a few nearby locations that would be good to start looking for pokemon if the party is so inclined: Downtown, Fringe District, The Tranquil Wastes.

Lyzare meanders up to the boards and memorizes as much information as he can about each of the events and the figures of note attending; a high disciple, a branch owner, a general, and a thug? He frowns at the last two-- roughing around and entertaining soldiers are low on his list of priorities.
He had no qualms with the Zeitgeist, as much as he himself was no religious fanatic, and so making an appearance at that event could be interesting. Or... perhaps the Job Faire put on by Malphas could work to his favour, providing him with more ad and promotional gigs should he sign up for a little more work with them...
But with these three accompanying me? He glances at his new trio of companions again, repeating their names as to not forget, and wonders what could be going through their heads.
"I believe the rally or the Job Faire could be particularly engaging-- wonderful social events, to catch those of us up to speed who might have been busy as of late. What say you all?"

"Placebo eh? Are you sure he ever actual does anything" Abagail jokes poorly
She considers the options presented aloud, "I have no real obligation to any of these, although It'd be a bit odd if I showed up at a Malphas job faire. If we're going to interfere in any of these events, I'd interfere with the actual criminal activities. No mater what we decide to do, I wouldn't mind finding some new companions. On a simmilar note, I'd like to meet all your companions, if you wouldn't mind. I'll start." She picks up her ralts, who's been folowing closely to his master, "This is ralts, my longest friend, and my muse."

Hobart stroked his chin as he went over the information on the board and thought about the other's words. "Are hyu sure dot interfere iz de correct vord? Perhaps ve are meant to mingle, gauge de thoughts uf de pipple und make contacts rather dan cause a dishturbance." Moving his gaze over all the options he continued after he scanned each. "If ve are sopposed to cause a ruckus Hy agree dot de Shakedown makes sense. Bot oddervise, Hy say ve go to de Rally or de Recruitment drive. Those vould be de besht locations to look for de sopport uf de pipple." He shook his head slightly, at the way the young woman's mind went to violence so quickly, but he brightened up when she mentioned finding new companions. "If ve are gon to need some more assishtance Hy vould like to go on an expedition as vell, perhaps ve can try de Fringe Dishtrict?" His hand went to the Pokeball at his waist but he stopped before bringing out Fritz. Thinking about it for a moment he said. "Hy vill introduce hyu to my partner once ve gets to a more open area, he iz a Grimer und Hy fear de enclosed space may not be de besht place for introductions."Are you sure that interfere is the correct word? Perhaps we are meant to mingle, gauge the thoughts of the people and make contacts rather than cause a disturbance.
If we are supposed to cause a ruckus I agree that the Shakedown makes sense but otherwise, I say we go to the Rally or the Recruitment drive. Those would be the best locations to look for the support of the people.
If we are going to need some more assistance I would like to go on an expedition as well, perhaps we can try the Fringe District?
I will introduce you to my partner once we get to a more open area, he is a Grimer and I fear the enclosed space may not be the best place for introductions.

"Look at you, waving your Pokemon 'round like everything's hunky dory safe and fancy free." Alyx falls back onto one of the desks, drapes her arms across the folders and kicks her feet up on the back of the adjoining chair as though it's an impromptu throne. "We hardly know squat about this Cam guy and you're givin' it all away like a cheerleader on prom night." She shakes her head disapprovingly. "That's an unhealthy level of trust, gets you killed in this city. I'm always partial to giving DuVal a bad time, but I can put feelers out at one, or several, of the other events, I got people."
