As the Zorua dissipated, Thoron couldn't do much more than watch. That had been slightly more force than necessary. He muttered a quiet "Oops," before taking stock of the situation.
Once again, Silas had the right idea... and he could deal with the boy. Thoron reported, "Omega, the Silvally has been neutralized, a capture was not confirmed. We will be ensuring all known Pokemon are accounted for shortly."
Before that, though, was the immediate aftermath. Their doctor seemed mostly unfazed by the explosion, but the others? "Impressive work, Technician Valadian. Unless you need the doctor's attention, you should rest a moment." He waited for some signal from that one. Clean-up wasn't so urgent... Although if Austin didn't, he planned to retrieve their single capture.

"Uh... no, sir," The boy says, shaking his head, still with some uncertainty in his voice, "I have friends close to here... I wouldn't want them to die from Pokémon... If it's, if it's all the same to you, though... I think I'll just stay up here." He looks around for a seat, and wanders dazedly over, still glancing towards where the Zorua was.
Austin, making sure that Silas was mostly all right, recalls his Bergmite and retrieves the Pokéball on the ground with the captured bug.
"Excellent, nobody died there," Omega says, emerging from the bracer, and looking around. "I'm glad to still be functional. A little bit more proactivity in trying to catch Pokémon might be in order, though, next time. Anyways, I relayed news of your success to headquarters. You are to wait in and secure this general vicinity until additional dispatched Technicians arrive, likely within the half-hour. Accounting for known Pokémon is a prudent measure, though, and good initiative."

"He can stay here, then." Thoron acquiesced, watching the boy for a moment. "The rest of us should move along."
So saying, Thoron recalled Lowe and began the walk back downstairs.

Silas nods at Ethan. Working in a place like this, he's probably seen death before, but maybe not of someone he was attached to. Perhaps he had been planning to let it escape and raise it on his own, like Requiem did. A Pokemon companion could help someone survive and escape this district. In a softer voice, Silas offers his condolences. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry it had to go this way."After a moment's hesitation, the medic leaves the boy to his shock, recalls his Pokemon, and turns to answer Thoron. "We should all head down. Everything that can escape through the hole in the floor probably did, and we don't know what it looks like down there. And... remember last mission? If that's how the Silvally got here, we should all go down there." With that, Silas makes his way to the basement, making sure the rest are following before going down the stairs. Bree and Austin follow along mostly silently behind Silas and Thoron. Upon reaching the downstairs area... well, it's a mess. All the cages seem to be torn open... as well as the body of Staci. It's fairly messy, much like the unknown man upstairs.
Looking around, there seems to be no signs of any recent Psychic activity, nor any of the teleportation circles that were seen during the last mission. Looking around, it doesn't seem as if there are any tears in any of the walls leading to outside, though. Or any escape routes at all, really. Not unless there were Pokémon that were able to open doors... and then took the time to close them again afterwards. And, yet, there are no Pokémon to be found.

The lack of clues is rather disappointing, but that may be a clue in it's own way. There was likely some sort of human involvement, but it's too early to say who or why. Silas is disappointed at the lack of results, but what else can he do about it? "I don't see anything Psychic, and we already killed the thing that did all of this. It's like someone released it from a Pokeball... Omega, is there anything else they might want us to look for before the others arrive?"

There's a moment of silence while the Porygon thinks. "No, nothing that I have been informed about. Just keep an eye out in case there are other Pokémon in the area. I will inform you if anything changes, however."
It's not long after that, though, that there's a scream from above. It sounds like it belongs to a young male... and it suddenly cuts off.

After taking in the situation, grisly sights and all, Thoron was about to suggest they return upstairs when he was so rudely cut off. A moment later, hurrying back upstairs regardless, he asked, "To confirm, no other Technicians are on-site, Omega?"
Not that that would explain anything...

At the scream, Silas mutters a curse under his breath and quickly follows Thoron up the stairs. Ethan's probably beyond saving already, but Silas would still like to save just one more life. However, the Krakens may have brought reinforcements beyond their ability to fight. "Also, how far out is the other team? How long do we need to stall?"

"No other Technicians are on site," The Porygon confirms, "ETA on reinforcements is in roughly fifteen to twenty minutes."
Upon reaching the top, and re-entering out into the arena area, there's a familiar figure, standing over the body of another familiar figure. Lethe has returned. She looks over to the group of Technicians as the door opens and says, "I assume that you're the Technicians that the report was about. It's almost a shame that you're still around. I was looking forwards to the hunt."

Silas approaches Ethan (or his body) as close as Lethe will let him, trying to see if the boy is unconscious or dead. His eyes dart between Ethan and Lethe, settling on an almost-glare at the latter. "Why? Has spending so much time with that thing warped you so much? Ethan's more innocent than either of us."

Lethe shrugs, as she stands over the boy's body. From what Silas can see, and from what his training can tell him... the wounds that Ethan's sustained look to be rather fatal. "He failed. And more innocent does not mean free of guilt. Everyone has done something in their life to deserve death. I simply mete out justice." She looks at Silas, and points at him with a swords, "And you certainly deserve to die after what you've done here." She gives an unsetting smile. "But, I look forwards to this. It's been a while since I've had a challenge. Your demise is inevitable, but it... loses something if it's too easy."

After Lethe's first set of assertions, Silas looks at her with confusion, as though she's said something mindbogglingly stupid. As she continues, it is as if a light goes on in Silas's head, and he steps back with a placating gesture. If he's understood things properly, maybe the Psychic influence on Lethe could manipulated in their favor. But more importantly, she's piqued Silas's curiosity. Before him stands one who probably knows Pokemon better than he and represents an indirect look at the monster hiding in Promethean's depths.
Silas's tone and expression calms abruptly and he takes another away from Lethe's swords. "Woah, woah, one second. Can we set aside the glares, and the bile, and the death threats for a bit? There's time to kill each other later, and there are so many things we could talk about. I like to think I'm improving people's lives, so what, exactly, have we done that was so heinous?"

"No," Lethe says, "there is nothing that you can say that I care about. And explaining anything to you would be a waste of breath, for there has been none who have escaped me. But, I will tell you at least what you have done. You have angered the lord of this district. And that is reason enough for you to receive justice. She takes a step towards the Technicians, in a combat pose. MapRelease your Pokémon on the map.

There was a lot Thoron wanted to say, too... But, the crazed Elementalist had other ideas, so there was no time. Her intent was unmistakable, so he deployed Lowe nearby. Not expecting (or indeed, needing) an answer, Thoron still asked, " What sort of justice will you face, I wonder? Twice failing to mete out our punishment... Does your lord care for such a rusty blade?" Surely, the man had limits to his patience... Not that they intended to let her escape again, in the first place. Lowe deployed to P4. No further actions taken.

Silas's disappointment is nearly palpable. She doesn't see them as 'people', so communication is nearly impossible. Is she even capable of it anymore? If subordination to that is so deeply written into Lethe instead of something more subtle, then whatever scraps of stability remain in her mind may not be recoverable. "Is that really it? Are you trying to force us to kill you? Because I won't just accept anything that thing you call 'lord' wants."Release Gus at N3

Lethe scoffs, despite the show of force from the Technicians. "Twice? Please, I have never failed once. All who I have been sent to mete justice upon have perished before my blades. Believe me, had I faced you before, you would not be here now. You cannot kill me."

While Thoron pondered how, exactly, being beaten so thoroughly and forced to retreat wasn't a total failure of an assassination, Lowe did something objectively more useful. That is, growling and glowering from the middle ranks. More importantly, the hunter was taking a moment to build up a charge. No movement, no Intimidate, but Lowe uses Charge. No Orders yet, either.

Lethe brazenly steps directly up to Gus, before her sword and body flare up with a shadowy energy, and she quickly darts past the mushroom and Silas, slashing at them both. The unearthly energy seems to be absorbed a fair bit by the charm that Silas wears on his wrist, though, much to Lethe's apparent surprise. While Lowe charges up voltage, Benison takes a more direct approach, firing off a whirlwind of leaves at Lethe and her swords... which go wide or are deflected by unnatural skill by the blades. Bree launches a ball of psychic energy at Lethe, but she jumps clear of it. Her blades don't seem to share her hesitation at Silas' charm, though they lash out at the clearly more hostile target, Low, scoring a slash on the weakened Luxio. Benison misses with Leaf Tornado. Silas takes 6 Damage from Shadow Claw. Gus takes 13 damage from Shadow Claw. Bree misses with Psychic. Lowe takes 17 damage from Fury Cutter.

When Lethe dashes for him, Silas braces himself for the increasingly familiar embrace of unconsciousness. He is just as surprised as Lethe when the stone absorbs the bulk of the attack. The questions that raises can be answered later, when he doesn't have a killer in his face. However, there's another question for which that is not true, and shaking her resolve could count as fighting. "Don't you remember? You fought us before and escaped through the floor. I wonder, why did he wipe your memory?"
Meanwhile, Gus steps forward to surround the enemy. That sword has recovered from yesterday's paralysis, so he tries to solve that problem. Gus to O2, Stun Spore on Doublade, flanking AC 6: 3
