Even as worn down as he was, Lowe was still stubbornly refusing to fall. Still, he was injured and beset by several hostile Pokemon. With no time to gather another charge, he fell back to the tried method of colliding with his enemy very hard. In this case, the pesky beetle that had wandered too close. Applying Focused Training (Orders)
Lowe uses Tackle on the Bug. AC2 - 4e6f_Xsk1d20+2 (Push 2 meters on a hit) DB5 - 1d8+35 Physical Normal damage

Lowe smashes into the bug, knocking it backwards, thankfully leaving it still frozen. Its eyes still follow Lowe, though, glaring. The Luxio stalks backwards carefully from the Silvally, but the larger beast creeps closer once more before lunging, actually connecting with its beak this time. The Electric-type falls, and the Silvally crows its victory, before turning towards the other immediate threats as Lowe's essence disperses back to its ball. The floating plasmid darts towards Bree, crackling with electricity, but the Technician manages to expend the energy to deflect it in time, causing it to miss her. She then quickly steps back away from it. The warrior continues to whale away at Austin, slowly wearing him down, though the Technician is far from finished. Its insectoid compatriot on the other side of the Silvally, though, remains frozen. Lowe hits the Bug. Silvally Disengages. Lowe takes 27 damage, an injury, and Faints from Bite. The Ball uses Spark. Bree uses Kinesis. The Ball misses. Bree disengages. Austin is hit by Feint Attack.

With the unexpected level of success of his chemical cocktail, Silas is once again left without ways to impact the fight. The best he can do is direct Sera's attention to the best target. As instructed, Sera turn her attention back to the ball and lets loose another blast of Psychic power. Silas to N6.
Silas applies Focused Orders to Sera. Sera to K6, Psychic on Ball. AC 2: 6 DB 11: 54

Lowe's fall was to be expected... Although with the battlefield as it was, perhaps it left a markedly sour note on Thoron. Better a Pokemon than a Technician, though, and so he wasted no time in redeploying his next (and final) weapon. Seeing as Aias had considerable mobility and was rather vital as his final Pokemon though, Thoron erred on the side of caution, deploying the large bird near to him. Lowe is recalled (Fainted). Aias is deployed to L4. Initiative: 20

Austin shifts a little bit to the side to better face only one foe, as the silver sheen grows even more reflective. His Bergmite snaps at the frozen bug, but barely gets any grip, only slightly damaging the beetle. Mercy is much more effective, vaporising the ball, which swiftly disperses. Sera isn't quite as successful in targeting the bird, but it still obviously feels some pain, as it winces. Austin uses Iron Defense. Austin Disengages. Bergmite hits the Bug with Ice Fang. The Ball Faints from Psybeam. The Bird wakes up. Sera hits with Psychic. It's not very effective.

Now adjusted to the situation, Aias took off. The ball was gone, but another bird was trying to muscle forward and that wouldn't do. So the Honchkrow swooped in on Thoron's orders, all too happy to join in on accosting the invader. Thoron applies Focused Training (Orders) to Honchkrow (and up to two other allies)
Aias shifts to P7 and uses Assurance on the Bird. AC2 - 7TDv8tRU1d20+2 DB14 - 4d10+39 Physical Dark damage (Assurance' condition can only trigger once per Scene per Target) 1d20+2·4d10+39

The Honchkrow dives at the metallic bird, smashing into it. The smaller avian seems dazed by the assault, and certainly isn't in a good place. The Silvally, left with an opening, charges towards the barrier, slashing with its claws and beak. Deep ruptures appear in the walls of energy, but, thankfully only one part falters thanks to the chill in the Silvally's body - though the other two areas it hit are just barely holding on. But, it seems to shake that off as it tries again... and this time it absolutely shatters, shards of force flying out into the air only to swiftly fade away. And, with that, it has the perfect opening to move right up next to Silas. The giant monstrosity is even more deadly looking up close. This is clearly a creature that is not meant to be, yet all the parts flow together into a seamless whole. A whole that, thankfully, is shoved a little way down the stairs as Bree concentrates hard on moving the beast away from her fellow Technician. The fortunate luck continues, as Austin is able to catch the blades of the armoured Pokémon on his own sword, and deflect them away from his body. Not only that, but the bug still remains encased in a thick layer of ice. Austin slashes back at the blademaster with his own weapon, but it seems to barely make a scratch on the thick armour. His Bergmite seems to have much more success at working on the bug, though, with its fangs getting more purchase this time. Mercy likewise continues this success, with a blast from the Mismagius hitting the Silvally - barely, but enough to cause some damage. The steel bird, injured though it is, is able to build up some speed and slash its sharp wings across Aias, though the bulky crow mostly shrugs it off. No way is this runt getting in on its turf. The Bird takes 2 injuries from Assurance. Silvally triggers Protean. Silvally uses Tri Attack. Silvally uses Tri Attack. Bree hits with Psychic. Silvally's Special Defense falls. Silvally is pushed 1m. The Warrior misses. Austin hits with Psycho Cut. The Bug takes an injury from Ice Fang. Mercy hits with Psybeam. The Bird triggers Gale Wings. Aias takes 33 damage from Wing Attack.

Squawking angrily at the attack, Aias returns fire at the prickly upstart. It wasn't as potent as the last one, but the big bird still refused to give any ground. A tad more mindful about priority targets, Thoron waited to see if the metal bird fell before warning Aias to be cautious about the next Pokemon... Not that anyone there would need a reminder. Aias uses Assurance on the bird. AC2 - qTtLAQIJ1d20+1 DB8 - 2d8+34 Physical Dark damage (+17 crit damage) (58 Phys Dark)
IF Bird is fainted, Thoron applies Capricious Whirl to Aias (Bind 2 AP) and Focused Training to Bergmite, Sera and Mercy. Otherwise, just Focused Training. 1d20+1·2d8+34

As her psychic power recharges, Sera scans the battlefield. Her leaves didn't do much before, and she's not about to get in melee range of the Silvally. However, Austin has been dueling with his opponent since the beginning of the battle, so she sends some positive energy his way. Sera to I5. Heal Pulse on Austin.

Much as the ball did to Mercy, the bird falls under Aias' assault, dispersing even as the larger bird's wings burst through it. Sera gracefully flows to the other side of the battlefield before boosting Austin. The Technician seems startled at the sudden energy boost, but gives a nod - though he doesn't take his eyes off of his opponent. The Silvally, its crystals returning to the darkish hue, leaps towards Mercy, but the Ghost manages to float out of the way... of the first strike. It quickly feints, and tears parts of the ethereal Pokémon's dress off, the spectral Pokémon clearly feeling the pain. Bree's anger at this turn of events is palpable, as she slashes furiously at the Silvally with her telekinetically-held weapon, causing a great wound on the beast, part of it sloughing away into energy, before she retreats out of its reach. But, while the Silvally is clearly in pain, it also attacks recklessly, with greater speed... thankfully, though, it goes wide of Mercy again. The warrior takes a moment to halt its assault, seemingly stymied by Austin's healing, taking a moment to sharpen its blades against each other. Austin takes advantage of this momentary distraction to pull a Pokéball out from his pockets, and chucks it at the still frozen bug. It clicks shut with very little fanfare, the Bergmite fighting it only briefly blinking before skittering along to start aiding its master. Unfortunately, even with the distraction of fighting 2 opponents, the warrior appears quite capable of avoiding the little ice chunk. Even as battle rages, there's a flicker of movement from the stairwell that you entered from. Making its way out of an opening that seems like it could have barely contained it, is a second Silvally, looking nigh-on identical to the first. This one looks over the assembled Technicians and fighting, and lets out a low growl. Mercy, seeming to realize that attacking the Silvally how it currently is would likely be futile, but unwilling to leave its post guarding its trainer, instead lets out a beam of energy at the warrior fighting Austin and his Bergmite. The adjacent Silvally swipes at the ghost, but, unlike its jaws, its claws just go through. The Pokémon seems to stagger around a little, but certainly isn't anywhere near finished. The Bird faints from Assurance. Silvally triggers Protean. Silvally misses with Bite. Mercy takes 46 damage and 2 injuries from Bite. The Silvally takes an injury and is Staggered from Wounding Strike. The Warrior uses Swords Dance. The Bug remains Frozen. You, er, the NPC caught a Pokémon! Bergmite misses with Ice Fang. Mercy hits with Psybeam. Map

Even as the battle had begun to swing in their favour, another complication appeared. A rather serious one, all told... Well, better that the second Silvally came to them than run off to parts unknown. The next target in Aias' sights was admittedly a big step up from some pesky bird, or a plump beetle. Actually, it seemed like a pretty serious hunter. Even so, the Honchkrow swooped in again, a flurry of feathers and... Actually, with such a sleek hide, his talons might not have found purchase. Thoron hoped leading with that might disorient the larger beast, if only for a moment. Thoron applies Focused Training (Orders) and Dazzling Dervish to Aias.
Aias shifts to L6 and uses Wing Attack on Silvally 1. AC2 - mG0jkLlQ1d20+2 DB8 - 2d8+29 Physical Flying damage

With the appearance of the second Chimera, Silas grows concerned. They need to take the first one down fast, because fighting two at once is certainly a Bad Thing. He moves beside Thoron, medicine in hand. "Let's get Lowe ready to go. We'll need everything we've got against these two." Meanwhile. She sees the blackening of the Silvally's crystals and and closes in, instinctively sensing weakness. However, the beasts' slashing claws cause her to hesitate and miss, and she prepares to retreat instead. Silas to M5, Revive on Lowe.
Sera to L6, Draining Kiss on Silvally. AC 2: 4 (miss)
If Sera would be hit by an attack next round, she will instead Teleport to H6.

Aias swoops in even as Sera moves next to the Silvally, the two of them coordinating with Mercy in order to take advantage of the beast's limited amount of attention. But, while the Silvally took a beating from that attack, panting heavily, it still isn't finished yet. Furiously it lashes out at all those around - while Mercy is unaffected by the claw aimed her way, and Sera narrowly teleports away, Aias isn't so lucky, and is struck by a claw glowing with blue energy, the Honchkrow quickly becoming encased in icy crystals. It lashes out once more at Mercy, but the ghost is still too nimble, avoiding the beak and the dark energy surrounding it. The second Silvally, having taken in the battlefield, begins to approach Silas, though, thankfully it's unable to reach him yet. It's still rather too close for comfort, though. Bree, most of her psychic strength stymied, is able to still lash out with her weapon. It isn't as powerful as last time, but it's still enough to open a gash in the Silvally, which freezes, and begins to screech in rage or pain, beak locked open, silver energy leaking out of it and dissipating in the air. The crystals on its head begin to cycle through the colours of the rainbow, faster and faster. Meanwhile, the armoured knight thrusts its sword arms straight towards Austin, the Technician only barely able to swivel aside in order to avoid being skewered, before his exposed skin becomes even more silvery and metallic, mirroring that of his foe. Unfortunately, Bergmite seems to have been relying too heavily on its foe being completely immobile, and misses horribly, skidding along the floor. Mercy once more attempts to assist the duo down below, sending a beam of psychic energy downwards. It strikes the warrior head-on, causing it to wobble around a little bit, apparently disoriented. The Silvally, unlike last time, doesn't even give a futile attempt to swipe at Mercy for that. The crystals on its head are cycling faster and faster, though. Lowe is Revived. Aias hits with Wing Attack. Sera his with Draining Kiss. It's super effective! Sera regains 28 HP. Silvally triggers Protean. Aias takes 59 damage from Tri Attack and is Frozen. A critical hit! Sera uses Teleport, avoiding the critical hit from Tri Attack. Silvally triggers Protean. Silvally misses with Bite. Silvally2 Sprints. Silvally is Staggered. The Warrior misses with Chip Away. Austin uses Iron Defense. Bergmite misses with Ice Fang. Mercy hits with Psybeam. The Warrior is confused.

Silas quickly moves out of the path of the second Silvally. There's no reason for him to be on the receiving end of those claws, and Thoron's bird needs to be thawed out. These medical sprays that the Technicians use really are convenient, and it feels good to have his practice pay off. Silas to N9, Full Heal on Aias

Frozen before he knew it, the situation was bleak for the Honchkrow. That last hit had also done a number on him. But, even before Aias could struggle against its icy confines, he was unthawed. Not wanting to risk another cold-hearted attack, he charged into the fray again... And then back off before those snapping fangs could come back around. Aias is unthawed!

Aias, newly thawed, strikes at the Silvally before retreating. The Silvally doesn't even seem to attempt to evade, nor does it even flinch. Suddenly, all at once, the colours flashing through the Silvally's spines empties out, leaving it colourless - for a brief moment before it explodes, silvery essence spilling out into the surrounding area before dissipating. Mercy and Aias are both swept away instantly, returning to their Pokéballs, while Silas is unceremoniously knocked to the ground, laying limp on the stairs. The other Silvally seems to almost be taken aback at the fate of the first, and appears to almost be hesitant as it approaches Thoron. It still gives a swipe with its claw, though, hitting the Technician. Bree lets out a cry as Silas falls, moving towards him, while turning towards the Silvally, firing of a blast of psychic power. Unfortunately... it seems to do absolutely nothing. Suddenly the Silvally wavers... and in its place appears the small foxlike creature from downstairs. It yips in surprise as it seems to realize that its disguise is gone, and looks a little frightened, especially when Bree releases a large yellow and green plant on the other side of it. The knight Pokémon slashes at Austin scoring a blow that is thankfully mostly absorbed by the Technician's silvered skin, but Mercy's lingering gift causes it to follow through too much, and it hits itself with its unnaturally sharp blade, dissolving into energy and dispersing. An ignoble end for such a warrior. Freed up, Austin quickly hurries over to Silas, taking a Revive from his pocket and feeding it to Silas, the medic sore but regaining consciousness. His Bergmite skitters up the stairs towards the last remaining Pokémon, which, noticing that it's alone, has its ears flattened and seems prepared to bolt. Aias hits with Wing Attack. Mercy takes 125 damage, 4 injuries, and Faints from Explosion. Aias takes 127 damage, 4 injuries and Faints from Explosion. Silas takes 125 damage, 4 injuries and Faints from Explosion. Thoron takes 22 damage from Feint Attack. Bree hits with Psychic. It has no effect. Zorua's illusion falls. Austin is hit by Slash. The Warrior hurts itself in its confusion and faints. Ausin uses a Revive on Silas. Silas is no longer Fainted, and is set to 20 HP.

Aias' screech was, apparently, the signal for a chain of catastrophe. To say nothing of their lost Pokemon, even Silas was taken out in that attack... And then the second and final Silvally approached him. Its trepidation was odd, compared to the willful violence of the last one, but the Technician had his hands full with not becoming the next victim. ...while the attack hurt, it really didn't seem like the sort of thing that could fell Lowe so well. And then Bree clarified matters. "Aha... Lowe, no escape." Thoron instructed, releasing his recently revived Pokemon to block the smaller one. Lowe opted for a hands-on approach, shocking his final foe of the evening. Thoron deploys Lowe to K2.

Silas doesn't even have time to flinch when the chimera detonates. The pain comes a few seconds later, when Austin revives him, and his mind registers the damage all at once. Fortunately, the medicine puts him back on his feet fast enough, since none of his injuries are immediately debilitating. Pushing the danger of internal injury out of his mind, Silas steadies himself by grabbing Austin's shoulder. "Thanks." He looks to the last enemy standing, then back to his teammate and smiles weakly. "One more, huh? I think I'll leave it to you."
Meanwhile, Sera moves to cut off an escape route for the last foe and hits it with a barrage of glowing leaves. Sera to J2, Magical Leaf on Zorua Crit Check: 12 DB 6: 53

The leaves from Sera cause the Zorua to cry out in pain, shedding tears, which cause Sera to reach out in empathy... only for Lowe to ram straight into the fox, causing it to dissipate. There's a sharp cry from the side of the room at that, coming from Ethan, the only other human still around. But, other than that, all quickly falls to silence, no more hostiles anywhere to be seen. Zorua takes 2 injuries from Magical Leaf. Zorua triggers Cute Tears. Sera's Special Attack falls by 2 CS. Zorua Faints from Spark.

Silas stretches with the completion of the fight, trying to work some of the soreness out of his body. The aftermath of a battle is the busy part for a medic, so it's time for him to get to work. Or it would be, if there wasn't someone else to take care of first. He's still not relaxed from the fight, but Silas approaches Ethan as amiably as he can. "I'm sorry that was necessary, but this isn't over yet. We need to see where those things came from. You can stay up here or come with us to make sure everything is caged. If even one escapes, a lot of people could get hurt. Neither of us want that, right?"
