Ashandra avoids the fairy attack, but is knocked down by the slapping tail of water. Hearthstone's leg bracer glows blue, absorbing some of the water damage. The Gyarados is punished for attacking the fiery camel when its tail is burned by a coating of liquid-hot magma. (Magma Armor {Playtest} - hitting the user with a Melee Attack or ending your turn grappling it causes the foe to lose a Tick of Hit Points)
(Damage Dealt: 56 base - 26 Defense - 15 Water Brace - 5 Type Strategist - 5 Solid Rock = 5 * 2 = 10 damage dealt)
Hearthstone inhales deeply, then fires off a star-shaped stream of flames at Orpheus.

Replacing Ashandra is a Charizard that immediately fires off a beam of solar energy at Gyarados. (Sunny Day Round 5/5 - Ends after Hearthstone's next move)

Kaeda's pokes still stand. Orpheus digests its rawst berry, and its big attack comes in. Orochi runs through both poke again.

Charizard proves much frailer than the bulky Camerupt, as it goes down quickly to the psychic blast. Camerupt once again seems almost entirely unfazed by the watery assault, despite what should be a double weakness. To replace Charizard, a Typhlosion emerges. It Mega Evolves and brings back the sun.
Hearthstone rumbles in protest at the water attack, but keeps on throwing lava around.

Pyro the Typhlosion used Sunny Day! (Round 0/5) Fire-Type Moves deal +5 damage, while Water-Type Moves deal -5 damage. Heat Mirage activates, granting Pyro +3 Evasion for one full round. (Total: 8 Phys/Special Evasion, 4 Speed Evasion)1d20·3d8+43

Orochi roars at the new enemy, and fires off massive blasts of water. Orpheus is down, and Ceasar the Jellicent is out. It exerts pressure, and fires off bubbles at the typhlosion

Hearthstone continues to throw lava around, and Pyro joins in on the fun! The two fire-types attempt to flank the Jellicent (-2 Evasion).

Kaeda pokes around in the mysterious patch of tall grass right outside the Cerulean Power Plant's walls. Her search for Electric-Type Pokemon doesn't go so well the first time. She finds, in order, Wynaut, Wigglytuff, Doduo of all things, Klefki (when it tries to steal her Ranch keys), and Dedenne.

She even failed at finding any/better electric types. Kaeda just gave up, and went home. There really was no hope for her now. She flumped onto her bed, and stewed in her own frustrations. Guess she had no choice but to pray, and force a win at the gym...whenever she felt up to even going back.
