It's not too long before Ply is completely out of sight, slowly descending into the hole. Several tense minutes pass before Ply becomes visible on the return. The Volcarona tries its best to convey that there is mostly water below. Deep enough to land in safely, but likely crawling with Wilds. However, this water is on a new level of the cave system. If Lia wants to reach the bottom, this seems the only way.

Ply goes slowly so that Lia can hang on, but the bug itself is not very strong. Still, there are no accidents, and both Lia and Ply manage to get down safely to land on the narrow land bridge across the deep pool. Unfortunately for Lia, it seems their presence angered something, as a giant shadow begins to rise up from beneath the water. It's a giant, frikkin, Walrein; and it's roaring a challenge.

As lia lands and recalls Ply, the shadow arrives as a giant Walrein rears it's head. Lia just calmly pulls out a ball, and releases Los into play.
"Girl... ITS TIME TO EAT!"
Lia rakes her thumb across her neck in a slow decapitation motion, which is how Lia activates her Mega item! Los, in a burst of howling and light, Mega evolves!

Lia ate the anti-freezing berry she found a couple floors up, and with its energy, she un-freezes herself, and then uses a Freeze Heal on Los! (But without the edge, Los cannot move this turn)

Walrein seems quite surprised that the human and her giant shark are not a set of lovely decorations for the cave. Nonetheless, it somehow 'curls up' and begins rolling right over both of them.

Los faints as she was barely hanging on in the first place, so a light wind could have taken her out. She faints and Lia replaces her with Scier. Scier blasts from the back while Lia strikes as hard as possible! Lia uses Flail!
