Even with Los jetting as fast as she can through the water, it still takes several hours before she can even see her destination in the distance. Thankfully, there are smaller, uninhabited islands where the pair can take a rest. It's quite a journey yet, but at least it's only midday. After a couple hours' rest, Lia gets back in the water and Los takes her along the next leg of the journey. By the time they need to stop and rest again, the Seafoam Islands are no more than an hour's swim away, though the sun is beginning to dip towards the horizon, and the sea is getting rougher.
Lia urges Los forward just as fast as the sharky can go. No sooner have they reached the western entrance to Seafoam then the sky decides to open up and begins dumping torrential rain down upon Lia.

Lia jumps up onto the island and quickly tries to look for the cave entrance. She's gotta find a place to dry before anything else happens.

Thankfully the cave entrance isn't so far away. However, it probably would not be too smart to descend into an icy cave while soaking wet.

Lia gets inside, dripping wet. It's not going to be pleasant at ALL until she's dry, so she decides to speed it up. She lets Ply out in the cave to heat up and quickly temperature-dry her with a blast of heat. She throws on regular clothes and then pulls her thermal gear out of her bag and suits up heavy. Once she's done she recalls Ply and heads in deeper. "Now let's see here..."Level 1 rolls:

It takes a lot of time, and includes several close calls with Wilds, but Lia eventually manages to find a passage leading down to the next level. The passage down is a long, winding path that spirals around a large stalagmite for some reason. It's easy enough to navigate, and it's unlikely anything that can't fly will accost Lia along the way.

Of course, the very first thing her too loud footsteps attract is a pair of Golbat. OF COURSE it's Golbat. Every damned cave Lia's ever been in has had some. This is just another notch on Lia's belt. Hopefully.

Lia earns 47 Poke XP.
After picking up a neat item along the way, Lia heads towards the nearest side passage. There, she is accosted by a trio of Sealeo that block her path.

Lia felt good after that quick downing of the Golbat. Felt... appropriate. Especially after every other time she's run into the flying pests. She continues down and finds a shiny stone before running into three Sealeo that saw her. She decides it's time to give Hori a full test and lets the little new ghost type out. Lia and her Rattata clone take battle positions! Hori goes first, and by Lia's instruction, she shuffles very fast until she's generated a bunch of static electricity, then lets it loose in a blast at one of the Sealeo! Hori - 25 Lia - 10 Shock Wave vs SeaLeo 1
