Lia quickly dives into the empty cafeteria, keeping an eye out for cameras still, and looks around. Empty. Time to mess around. With as much shit that Lia's been through in her young life, people like these need a bit of chaos. She opens the fridge and peeks inside. Time to fuck with some people's day. If the lunches are labeled, she'll switch the labels (or switch all the food completely around).
Satisfied with her light trolling, she peeks back out of the cafeteria, now looking for a head executive office. She has another silly thing to do before she sneaks out of here. She doesn't want to head back toward the one camera she knows, so if there's another way around this floor, that'd be great.

Lia switches some labels around on lunches for employees, and then heads out into the next hallway, which is also empty. However, the work day is going to be winding down soon, so best move quickly. Unfortunately, Lia finds no 'important-looking' offices on this floor, even as she does her best to spot and avoid security cameras.

Lia has a 'whoopsie' moment when she realizes that maybe she should have peeked in the door first before opening it. But this is why training is important. She slowly closes the door without a noise and waits to the side for the person to come through or head downstairs further (hopefully).

Relying on sound to tell when the guy moves on, Lia eventually hears his footsteps echoing in the stone stairwell as he resumes walking downstairs. Once he's gone, and after peeking in to make sure there are no other near-misses, slips inside and up the stairs. Quietly making her way all the way to the top floor, Lia peeks through the new door, and then heads through. The offices on this floor are much further apart, and even have nameplates on them. This is probably where the 'important folks' work. All the offices on this side are currently occupied.

Lia peers out to not make the same mistake twice. She's reached the top floor and her goal. But everyone seems to be 'in' these, at least that she can see. Still avoiding cameras as much as possible, she heads out into the floor, hoping to find a currently empty office. She may need to have someone leave or wait somewhere safe till they do, but she's hoping an empty office will be available. Stealth:

Lia takes a piece of paper out of her bag and writes something on it, then heads back to the stairs. She's gonna have to be quick about this, or she's going to have to wait. She folds the piece of paper into a ninja star, opens the door to the stairwell, ready to head down it. She picks the nearest office door to the stairs, and then knocks REALLY hard on the door. She then bolts for the stair doors and closes them to the point it's only open a crack. She waits with her little star, staring out the stairwell,and waits for her target.

A voice can be heard saying 'come in!' after Lia knocks and runs. A few moments later... nothing happens. Apparently the person peeked out their office 'window', saw nothing, and returned to their desk.

Lia grumbles as he didn't come out, and she creaks the door open again and slinks out into the hall. Attempt Number 2, then. She knocks just as loud on the door, heads back into the staircase, leaves the door open only a crack, and hope he'll be curious enough to come out.

Lia has no sooner escaped this man's grasp and run into the stairs when she's grabbed again! This time solidly!
"You're not getting away that easy, punk." A woman's voice says. Just as Lia attempts to wriggle out of their grasp, she notices a Growlithe guarding the way down. That plus the guy from the office right outside the stairwell means her only escape is a risky jump onto the lower staircase. Something ill-advised in her current condition.1d100

When Lia fails to get away, she's dragged off the premises by the female security officer and their Growlithe. She's informed that they won't press charges this time, but if she trespasses again they will be calling the police. She is then sent on her way.

Lia storms off back to Cerulean. She didn't want to attack people just doing their jobs so she just had to take the hit, but that puts a real damper on her actions and shows how flippin far she has to go before she's 'good' at this. She heads back to the ranch and changes back into normal clothes. She'll probably wait a while before attempting again. As she's back, she gets a message from the center that they finally know the condition of the pokemon she saved. She heads down to investigate.

When Lia arrives at the Cerulean Pokemon Center, inquiring about the 'half-dead Rattata', Nurse Joy fills her in on its condition. While it did survive, it no longer seems able to evolve, but as a result of this trauma has somehow gained the Ghost Type. If Lia wants it, she may have it. Otherwise, they'll just be giving it away to someone else who will take care of it. Like a Ranger or something.

"What, it gained the ghost type?"
Lia nods her head fervently when it's offered to her.
"Oh no, I did this, I'll give it a happy home. And I've gained some sort of skill raising pokemon that didn't evolve and are still good. Ever see a Magikarp take hits like a tank and shoot a Hyper Beam?"
Lia happily signs the documents to adopt it and takes the Rattata home.
She sets up in their room and she and Scier (now out again) sit with it. The pokemon seems very upset by something and is ramming it's little head into stuff, going all aggro. Lia sits on the floor next to it.
"Hey... you aren't mad at me, are you?"
The little rat, now trying to learn how to phase and having a bit of trouble with it's new power, snorts a bit and looks at Lia like 'Are you serious?' before going back to it.
"I mean everyone else was saying that it was a mistake but... I couldn't stand aside while that ghost ate your soul..."
At the mention of what happened, she loses it and headbutts Lia's cubbord in anger a few times. And it clicks for Lia. This one is basically a pokemon version of her. Something bigger, stronger, and with unfair powers attacked it and someone else (In this case, her) had to save her. And now she's pissed that she couldn't do anything at the time. Lia picks her up to stop her attacking her furniture. She holds it close and gives it a hug, much to it's surprise. She leans back against the bed and places it on her chest.
"Look, I know what the problem is. Trust me... I know how you are feeling. That ghost is bigger and stronger and used unfair hypnotic powers to catch you off-guard and you were only saved by chance."
It looks up, wondering how in the world that this human knew it's problem so well. Unless, did this big strong human come across it's own ghost and someone even stronger have to step in? She looks up at Lia and notes that Scier behind Lia is almost wide-eyed and nodding as if to agree. (And maybe to say 'Please help her to 'not' have that situation again')
"But here's the thing. You got a second chance. You and me both. And now... now you've gained powers unlike any of your kind. You just became a lot tougher. So how about this. You and me both get back at anyone who wants to keep us down."
Lia pauses, coming up with a name.
"Is that a deal... Hori?"
Hori seems very willing to get back at the spooky ghost at least, and nods. Lia lifts her and herself up.
"Ok bud, lets go get you some training. We'll start with that ghosty stuff..."
Lia goes out into the ranch to train her new pokemon on it's abilities.

Lia pays a shit ton out of pocket and sells a lot of stuff to gather up a bunch of supplies, ice heals, and a full thermal outfit so she doesn't freeze her fingers off. After supplying up, she heads out on Avitus and after a longer flight, lands in Cinnabar. She knows it's probably better if she DOESNT fly in and have to deal with a potential icy air dog-fight. Not a good idea. She changes in the center to her original swimsuit and lets Los out in the water after replacing Avitus with one of her fire-types again. She sets herself in the ocean water next to her and grabs hold.
"Ok Los, lets roll."
