Posting this as a placeholder here! I'm definitely going to be submitting something, based on the concept of "N, but without his message co-opted by Ghetis the puppy-kicker and his merry band of incompetents." Also, quite possibly the single most non-combatant character I've ever made - Oracle/Channeler for sure, and then some combination of Mentor, Sage, and Commander. He doesn't "do" combat, really, but he can make his team really, really good at it. As an aside, I have a backstory-oriented question: relative to the game's current time, when did the first Team Plasma crisis happen in Unova? I'm thinking that maybe this guy's parents dragged him from Unova after that incident, and he hoped that battles would be "cleaner" here, was proven VERY wrong, and has set out to do something about it. If your character doesn't do combat, they're going to have a very difficult time with this game where trainer combat is mandatory for the League. Based on the unofficial pokemon timeline on Bulbapedia, the events of the Generation V games (Black and White) happened approximately 6 years after the events of Gen I/III/ORAS (which all happened concurrently). Thus, given this game's setting of "30 years after the events of R/B/Y", the first Team Plasma crisis would have happened approximately 24 years ago, and the second crisis (B2/W2) happened 2 years later. I see your point about non-combat, and I raise you Amaura! Gets Barrier as an egg move and Ice Shield as a Basic Ability. Who's gonna bother going after the well-shielded human when they've got the rest of my team coming for them? ...I can start with an Amaura, can't I?

I see your barrier and Ice Shield and raise you high maneuverability and flight. I also point out that each of these barriers is easily dismantled under a concentrated assault by a Type they are weak to. Additionally: Brick Break. Example: You put up Barrier to face off against the Cinnabar Gym Leader, who rides a Charizard (it can fly). Looks like I just avoided your barriers entirely.
Amaura is allowed as a starter, as long as your other starter has 3 stages.
Also, it would help if you joined the Skype chat as I can answer questions faster that way.

Yes, those barriers could be rapidly dispelled or maneuvered around with an effort...but that effort leaves them wide open for the rest of my team to open fire. Also, Blaine's Charizard will probably really, really hate an Amaura opening with Power Gem. Anyway, that's one case, but think about this strategically - I, as a unit, am not actively harassing anyone or entering combat; I'm just making my allies more effective. If you don't know what to expect, then the kid huddled in the back does not look like as much of a threat as a giant ice dinosaur, or any other sufficiently imposing Pokemon. Of course, if you DO know what to expect then "shoot the medic first" comes into play, but that's what shields and friends are for. Basically, what I'm asking is "is it possible to build a fully support-oriented character and have them be viable?" If not, then I'm gonna have to redo with a different concept. I COULD do that, I've got an idea for an Electric- or Normal-oriented Musician, but I really kinda want to use this one if I can. Also, about Skype: I'm on mobile at the moment, and Skype runs on my phone like molasses going uphill in January. I'll get on when I get back.

You're free to make and submit what you will. Don't worry too much about the 'will it/won't it work' stuff.

Finally done! Here is Enlil Pendragon, a Hunter/Miasmic/Attack Ace who is currently travelling alone to Mt. Moon but looking for a group... amongst other things. He looks for things a lot.

Still filling in details, but here's Morgan Lind, whose pushy, overbearing ghost-dad has pushed her into a career as a Pokemon trainer and secret magical ninja. Not that she's complaining too hard, because let's face it, magic ninja powers are pretty cool.
