Okay. It's decision time. After reviewing all the submitted applications, I had a difficult time deciding which character would best suit the campaign. I really like all of them, but as only one can join as a player, I think I will have to go with Joylene "JoJo" Joyce, as she seems to best compliment the current roster. Thank you to all who applied, and best of luck with other games.

Alright. I'm reviving this recruitment to try and nab one more player, as, alas, my other PCs have left for various reasons. The current party member is a Dark Ace/Ace Trainer/Rogue, but you as the newbie may make anything you like. Current party level is Trainer Level 6, but that will soon be 7 once the current player finishes his first Gym Battle. Your experience totals are as follows: 24 Misc XP, 31 Dex XP, 1 Milestone (this is the Gym Badge). Restrictions/details: No DPDoM or B&D. GoT is encouraged, but by no means required. - Some other information:When creating your Trainer, you may select 2 Underdog Pokemon to start with (plenty of opportunities to get more). One of these must have 3 stages. They begin with 1 Egg Move as per the September Playtest Rules. The levels are 16 and 12, but you may decide which is which.
- Setting: Kanto, 30 years after the events of R/B/Y.
- A brand new roster of Gym Leaders and Elite Four!
- Gym Challenges have an optional Full-Contact Mode, but Elite Four/Champion Battles require it.
- You begin play with
P5000, as well as a Pokedex and 6 Poke Balls. You may use this money to purchase TMs, but are restricted from buying any that are worth more than 1500 when buying with starter money.
Your Pokedex should have the following Pokemon marked, as all Dex XP is shared: - Abra
- Bulbasaur
- Sandile
- Kakuna
- Dustox
- Cascoon
- Beldum
- Cleffa

First, I've had a Ditto-focused (Like using 1 ditto and little to no other pokemon) trainer mentally ready for a while, but obviously, ditto is a bit of a pain in the butt in terms of gm work, so I just gotta ask if that'd be an ok thing to do?
(As a .5 question to the above, can I just eschew the other starter pokemon in that case?)
Second, I don't see a limit to books/classes mentioned... is there one?

Wow. That is one damage-soaking Chingling. Since it meets the requirements to evolve, you may switch it to Chimecho if you wish (Chimecho is still an Underdog). I had to look up where you got all those bonus skill edges, but since I found it, you're all good.  Just going to keep this open a bit longer to see if I can attract a 3rd player to bring the group back to max, but if not, it's all good. You may go ahead and mosey on over to the forum, here, and talk about what your character is doing. Please be sure to look over the "Rules" thread, and put a link to your sheet in the "Characters" thread. Thanks for your interest, and I hope you enjoy the game! |

Yes it will be damage soaking. Attrition through grappling! But I'd like to keep it a Chingling a 'bit' longer. Mostly just for rp reasons. Would like Lia to react to it in person.
Oh and it's first-come like that? UM... ok!
I'm going to bed right now but I'll be sure to check everything out tomorrow, and probably start posting when I get home from work then.

I can't really see anything wrong, though I've never seen anyone use the free lv 2/6/whatever skill edges for anything other than "Raise X skill to X level". However, Categoric Inclination is listed under Skill Edges, so I'll allow it either way. Recruitment will close on the 5th. (3 days from now) |

I may have miscounted the initial Dex XP. Go by how many entries there are, not what I may have said. Yes, you also count your own Pokemon, bringing the total to 35.
