As the last bits of sword dust sprinkles from her hands, Muku calmly lays both of her palms upon her Pokémon's hilts. "I think I get it now. You've got your own flock too, right? A wingbird. Or wingsword as the case may be."
She smirks impishly. It was good that no one else was around to hear that one.
Lingering only just a moment in this dusty place, she steps over a treasure chest absolutely brimming with gold and silver as she makes her way back upon deck. It was time that let this place go. Rising sea water was probably going to drown it soon anyways. Oceans sometimes be like that. Constantly drowning things. She decides to pick up the pace a little. Just in case.

"With webs that they threw by hand, and long sticks with a loop at the end. Sticks that made a loud crack and lit the air. With the rocks that trap souls... I killed a few that were in her den, but it did not help. Once they were off the island, they left with her.". A low snort, and she heavily paced, giving Queen a wary look.
Talon hummed in the wind, the blades flexing ever so lightly. Content at last, and no longer needing anything from Muku. The tide did indeed begin to come in as she moved to leave. She surf rolling into the mouth of the cave, making footing treacherous and the jump to the first pillar leading from this hidden place all the more troublesome.
(Acrobatics or Muku may fly out.)

Muku doesn't waste anytime in moving out. Sensing her precarious position here in the caves, she begins to pick up the pace as she hurls the coat around her body. It was scratchy, a lil ill-fitting, and definitely a bit musty smelling. However, she needed her arms free, and they couldn't do that if they were holding a coat. With a running start, she immediately starts hopping from stone to stone; heedless of both the danger and her own new-found powers... Acrobatics Roll - 20.
Not as bad as it could be!

There was a thick quiet that fell between the two once more, as Terra passed the thought back and forth in her head. Reaching into her pocket, a hand retrieving a toothpick and placing it between her teeth to then chomp against it firmly. "I am going to say something. Not trying to claim they are related." She decided on with her words. "I know about those men. They took many from different places. Different flocks, herds, clans," Terra spoke as she looked around the arena they were standing in.
"I was taken by them too. I wasn't always human, as weird as that may sound," she comments with a shake of her head. "They put us in cages and did things." Eyes watching the wild pokemon with a cautious gaze to gauge her reaction.

"I will take you to her den. Then we will have no more words.". The Tyranitar began to trundle down the mountain, head low, expression fierce but tired. She waits briefly for Terra to be along, but otherwise moves with purpose.
This side of the mountain is lush, free from the clear-cutting efforts and heavy grazing of the large saurian, though more and more Terra begins to get the sense she had been there before. The den had an odd coppery smell to it, dark stains along several walls, where bodies lay broken and still. Gore long dried where they fell, rents in the walls and ceiling testament to the Pokemon's frustration.
Powdered granite lay in a shallow pit, an abrasive for scratching off weak material and sleeping on. Hematite, Pyrite, and several kinds of quartz were scattered about the sleeping area, along with small scraps of cloth.

With some actual cooperation from Talon, Muku vaults up and out of the caves one platform at a time until she reaches the cliff she had departed from in the first place. The sea winds tore at her coat with more and more insistence. Water smashed against the rocks below in larger and larger waves. The sky above had become angry in her time underground.
It threatened in the way that made all things that fly hide in their trees, even the biggest of Staraptor. A bird, large and white, in some ways resembling a fish, burst from the distant waters on spread wings.

The human gives a nod in response at being told she'd see the den. This trip, she let Queen stay where she was, to acclimate to her new form. As well as to give the two pokemon a chance for the stress of the fight to ease inside them.
As the environment changed from barren to more wildlife covered area, it felt familiar. A bit harder to place, the more time they spent walking, the deeper that she felt that sensation in her stomach. Though it was different that she couldn't immediately place, probably the change in height? The copper scent at first created a mix of drooling within her mouth and scrunching her nose. The sight of the leftover bodies made her scowl, the memories of nets and violence bubbling at the back of her mind. Teeth gnashing on the wood in her mouth.
Finally there was the pit, she approached with a wariness in her movement. Kneeling at the edge, a hand would lower and begin to touch the stones and gems that rested on the powder. Silent and still as she stays where she was. Staring at the granite with a pensive look on her face.

The growing darkness and tempestuous winds had quite an effect on Muku. All birds knew there were times to fly and there were times to not fly. This, this was the latter situation. As her eyes scan the distant horizon, she spots the great creature rising forth from the sea. What was it, she wondered briefly. Probably not her concern. There were other more abiding thoughts taking up her mind.
"Kursz." She mutters.
Her good bug companion was probably not still cooped up on the shore. He had good survival instincts and if not his own survival instincts, then she could probably at least still rely on the mooch bird to politely peck him in the right direction. Still. Checking on her friend was her first priority. If he was anywhere near the shore, then she was going to get him out of there. Coat flapping violently in the breeze, she makes her way back to where they had first made landfall.

A great silence took Terra's escort as they entered the cave that was so familiar to her. The smells of the greenery from outside mixed with stone dust. The flavors of the stones that now sat useless in her all-too soft hands. Memories of that day coming back. Intruders, more than she had ever seen before, with their Pokemon from the forest and field that could hardly scratch her stony hide. Harder and harder she had fought, alone, but to no avail. Each scratch and scrape wearing on her as more, and more came. A pained human scream, and a wet cracking sound just at the edges of her senses before the world went dark. Everything had been a blur after that.
Returning to the beach, Muku found the boat so far up the beach it had been tethered to the trees where the dunes began to give up on consuming the rest of the island. Distant strokes of lightning over raging seas punctuated the quiet, the thunder a roar of sky and sea raging against one another. (Muku may make a Survival check to locate her missing friend.)

The longer she was in that position, those now fleshy fingers clenched the hard stones in her hands tightly. A slight clink sound coming from them as they touched together. The pressure pushed against the skin, was a sensation that set in her stomach uneasily, as memories creeped in from the places that she had shoved them back and in her mind. A fierce glare focused at the nest that was once her own. Eyes holding a heated moisture for a moment, tears threatening to form. Teeth bared as they crushed the wood between them. An audible frustrated breath forced its way through her nose. Hands setting the stones down into the sand once more. Red impressions marked her palms. "This, was mine," she mutters in a strained tone to herself.

The boat was safe. Kursz was probably safe. The moochbird was undoubtedly safe because she had never seen a moochbird harmed by anything. Well. Except for blackbirds. Blackbirds were rude and-
She cut off her thoughts. Now was not the time to consider her next great insurmountable mountain of overcoming bird prejudice. Striding over the boat, she casts her eyes back out to the sea once more. She had never seen a Pokémon that big before. She might never again. Scanning the roiling sea, she tried to once more catch her vision upon the great and mighty looking sea bird.

The dragging shush of the Tyranitar's tail on stone punctuated by intermittent heavy steps as she moved to the other side of the dust bed. Sitting heavily she considered Terra with great intensity. Somewhere in the human's stoic fierceness she seemed to find what she was looking for. And she answered. "It is yours."
"You lived." She broke eye contact and stared into the dust. "And I never truly knew you. But I know your eyes. I see you. What they did, did it make you stronger?"

Muku's eyes settled upon a broad back with small feather like fins in rows to either side of the creature's spine. A mask, two protrusions in vibrant blue ringed it's eyes. Otherwise it was mostly white. It continued south until the unruly sky hid it from view.
"It is going to fight a fight it knows it cannot win.". Comes a familiar voice behind Muku. Turning, the larger mooch bird was there, on the boat. It stared where she had been staring. "Not against blackbirds, or winged eyes, or pidgeys. Against a fish that will cover everything in water. There will be no bugs or seeds to eat. There will be no trees to nest in. No ground to scratch at. Only water. Water everywhere."

“We all have fights we can’t win. Doesn’t mean we don’t fight them anyway.” Muku muses. A supernatural calm washes over her. Moochbird influence? Maybe. But she wasn’t panicking. That is what mattered. This was not a time for panic.
Moving aside the moochbird, she folds her blades across her knees and crouches lightly till they were both at head height.
“You can see the future, right? So. Let’s say I was there. Would that change anything?”

The human is still for quite a while as the sound of the large pokemon shifting reached her ears. Not looking up as Tyranitar sat at the other side. It wasn't until that she was told that it still belonged to her. Red eyes slowly raising to meet the pokemon's. Still intense, however the emotion within them was difficult to determine.
The question, had Terra's jaw shift as she chewed against the small stick in thought. "No... and yes..." she answers quietly. "I don't have my scales, or my jaw. But I learned other ways of getting strong," she follows up. Motioning to the other and then back to her longer limbs, in reference of their combat prior. "And I have come to understand some of what humans call 'Strength in Numbers'. Its, not an easy one to accept. But effective." Terra moves a hand to withdraw one of the pokeballs she had on her to show what she meant. Though she didn't release a pokemon from it this time.

"The ones that tried to kidnap your friend, then drown you both with a fish is there.". The Moochbird replied passively, skirting the question at first. "The fishbird cannot succeed without allies. A great firebird, a great snowbird, and a great thunderbird. It calls these friend, but they have taken shelter from the storm."

"The weak looking to the strong to unite and guide them.". The Pokemon murmured, attention settling on the capture device, iris tightening, hindclaws cracking the stone under her. "Your fate was not your choice. I am relieved you are safe. Those are the things that matter."
Then she rose once more, a careworn expression on her face, and started towards the exit. "I wasn't a caretaker to you before, and I can't be now. Not after losing to humans twice."

Not the most comforting of words, but that's something she's used to. A simple nod given in showing that she heard what mattered.
"Are you counting the loss to my partner and myself as the second one?" Terra questions curiously as she stands herself. Following behind, until they reach the entrance, standing at the Tyranitar's side. Red eyes watching the pokemon's expression as she waited.

"Yes. You fight like they do. You are soft like they are, but have found ways to remain fierce and in control. You are human, but you are not docile. Not weak.". She explained in hard, simple thoughts.
"My daughter was taken from me, in my territory. Something of mine, taken from me in a way I can't have back. If you find them, I will crush them. That is all I can give you now."

“So... The strong need to look to someone weaker to give them a kick out of the nest.” Muku muses. “I don’t like being the person to do that. But I also like a world that’s not soaked in endless ocean.”
She shifts, tracing her fingers down the length of her hair. Was it getting longer? Maybe. There was a lot of things that she was still getting used too as a human. Way too many things. “It would be easier just... let it go. All of this. But flap it all, I’m not the kind of bird to just roost and watch as the world burns. Or soak. Whatever!”
The bird girl turns, resilience flashing in her eyes, “Take me to one of the birds. Those Pidgey-brained idiots are gonna have to learn to fly.”
