Joy lets out a kiai and throws off Muku's stare as a full action, then uses Multitasking to activate Agility. (Party adds a safe round.)
Muku needs to make a long jump to the next building (Athletics and Acrobatics) or take a five meter fall and get mired in loose sand (hindering terrain.)
Terra, the crowd parts like the sea before you. The stalls preceding the boardwalk just ahead, crystalline, crunchy sweet rock candy on a nearby stand, advertised cheap no less. Another has fresh crab. Crunchy and salty and hard things to chew on. (A Focus please.)

Muku shoots the nurse a rare smile, more impressed than actually worried about being caught. “You’re going to have to show me how to move like that! But I’m going to need you slow down.” Lowering her eyes, Muku flips her hair forward and gives the nurse her most terrible Glare. Only for a moment though. After that, she was turning around and launching herself off the roof, the only gift remaining, her laugh in the air. Muku rolls a 23 for Acrobatics and a 17 for Athletics
Glare should hit with an 11 Roll and a AC of 2

So many good flavored things caught her eyes. They were tasty, and crunchy. How was she going to resist? Stay on track, no distractions!
But so yummy... Shaking her head hard, the eyes focused forward. Though the girl felt herself starting to salivate some.

Muku and Terra continue their forward momentum, Muku landing on the boardwalk, the way ahead a shattered ruin. Like the evil eye before it, Joy seems to power through the paralyzing stare much the same. (Digestion Buff Consumed)
You can choose to swim (Athletics and Focus) or move along the ruined planks and posts (Perception and Acrobatics).

Muku carries on like a wayward leaf on the wind. She was rapidly running out of tricks to use on her opponent. Had she not already promised Terra today would be the day that they go to the cave, Muku might have given up. Might have. She still had options. Good options. Eying the site of their battle with the sea monster, Muku quickly takes herself onto her favored terrain; the fighting terrain. Eyes keen, legs spry, she attempts to cross as swiftly as she can. Fifteen on Acrobatics and Perception. Both.

The looking around at the temptations had made her realize that Muku had succeeded in pulling Joy's attention away from her. However she would keep up her own steady pace of moving forward towards the beach where they were meant to meet up at. And get on the boat.
Food can wait, Queen had been waiting for so long.

One frantic last minute escape from the pink haired hulk and two days of muffin subsisted journey later, Kursz grounds the small seacraft on a beach, dragging it some ways up the sand so the tide doesn't take it.
"Don't know what your Pokemon wanted on this island, but we circled it for most of a day and they keep pointing here. This must be it.". The large boy considered the sky, and a building storm to the south.
The island itself is well forested around the base of a large mountain with wide sandy beaches and a sheltered cove. It's warm and a stiff breeze is coming in from the south.

There was a sense of relief in Terra that they managed to get away from the beach without being caught by the Joy. That'll be fun to deal with when they return, she's certain.
Though with the passing of days it became less of a worry in her mind. Instead becoming more focused and interested on the island that they were approaching. "Dunno. But I'm sure we'll see soon enough," Terra states calmly as the boat is landed. Giving a hand with the boat that Kursz owned.
Taking in the sight and breeze, a slow breath in of the salty air before letting it out and releasing the blue pokemon of hers. "Alright Queen, this is it, right?" she asks the Nidorina for confirmation while watching the sky above them for a moment.

Nurse Joy was far from Muku's mind when they finally at last landed. Were it not for the emergency muffins, she would have surely starved, but now she had the cravings that only the sweet flesh of Mmip could provide. At least, if she could if she was confident she could defeat Mmip.
Muku was not confident she could defeat Mmip.
Wobbling from the boat, she stares angrily at the sea and the salt-specked blade she held in her hand. It continued to point obstinately at the island, defying her at every turn. "I still think it was probably on the other side. Probably." She says bitterly. Muku was very obviously wrong at this point, but losing face to an animate sword was a loss that she could not accept.
The bird girl tilts her head up and shades her eyes from the stark sun, not that of reality, but a reality of a different sort. Whether she liked it or not, they did arrive. The hot air baking her neck and shoulders, she plants Talon into the ground in front of her and begins to throw on her battle pads. "We're ready for anything." She says confidently. "We'll get in, do whatever we have to do, get out, go to the Pokemon Center and make sure our partners are ready, go back to Chuck, challenge Chuck, beat Gunshow, beat Team Aqua, and go find someone else to beat up. Probably Team Magma. Definitely Team Magma."

Queen nods her agreement, before turning her eyes towards the mountain. Talon, in an unusually contrarian gesture, jerks Muku's arm to the left. Kursz looks between the two Pokemon and scratches his head. "Uh... Don't like that."

"It's normal. Talon always almost tears my arm out of the socket thing, but I'm used to it." Muku grunts. "If that's the direction that Talon wants to go, then there's no helping it. And, if that's the direction that Queen wants to go, there's no helping that either."
She takes a step towards the left and turns to the group, Talon still insistently hanging out in the air. "I think me and Talon will end up going this way then. If you're going up the mountain, then that's alright too. Muk- I'll be fine on my own with just me and Talon. Probably. It's fine. This is fine. Everything. Fine."
A deep breath claws her way into her lungs and scratches it's way out. She shakes her lowered head, slaps it twice. When her eyes rise back up, they are determined a smirk crosses her lips. "Alright. You've got this. We've got this. Terra? Don't die. That would be bad and most assuredly the shock of it all would drive me into an insane rampage of which no one would recover from. And Kursz? Keep an eye on the boat and make sure the mooch bird eats. It's just been sitting around for two days and I don't think I've seen it eat anything. Throw more sunflower seeds at it. I'm sure it'll have to eat them eventually. Somebody has to."

Terra looks up towards the mountain as well, slowly rolling her shoulders to prepare herself. The days on the boat had her feeling stiff, so a moment to limber up wouldn't hurt.
At the other's pokemon pulling in the other direction, Terra looked towards the left of the beach line. "Well, looks like our mon have different paths," she points out in a calm tone.
"It will be fine, you have more than just Talon, and I have more than just Queen. Funny, I was going to say the same to you," Terra replies to the 'don't die' sentiment.
"You going to be okay waiting for us to come back?" she asks the larger of the three of them first. Though she didn't seem to be against the splitting up of their group.

"I named him Huge Pecs. It was funny because he is very small, and smart. Like some kind of brain bird. It is irony. I will make sure he gets fed though. See you when I see you I guess. I can take care of myself Terra, I am big.". He reassured her.
The two pairs departed the beach, Muku circling the island while Terra scaled it. Sandy beaches gave way to surf pounded rock, pillars of stone precariously jutting from the sea like skeletal fingers, descending into a sea cave. Warm, humid fog and sea spray filled the air here. Talon insists this is the way.
(Athletics to scale the walls or swim in, perception and acro to use the steps.)
The sound of frantic Pokemon cries draw Terra's attention first, along with a powerful bellow. "GET YOUR DAMN WEEDS OFF OF MY MOUNTAIN!". Followed by the roar of wood splintering at high speed and the crash of a tree falling over. Bird Pokemon and small mammals go scurrying out of sight.

It takes her more time than she would have liked to get this far. Standing at the opening of the cave, Muku takes a moment to catch both her breath and her bearings. "I don't like this." She says to no one in particular. "Caves suck. They're dark, cold, and full of bad things. The cave is where rocks live and rocks are patently bad. Our soft, breakable wings are not able to fight rock Pokémon. Hitting them hurts us more than it hurts them. Staraptors know bird-fu, so it's not a problem for them, but I was a Starly and the only thing I learned was how to beep. I would have learned how to glare next, but you know. Get captured. Get... Bad things. Least I know how to stare really good now."She shrugs. Talon made for awful conversation, but they were a good listener. Looking down into the foam, her lips turn upwards into a frown. "Well, I think we both probably hate the idea of swimming. I bet I could ask Whoopie for some help, but this is kinda our journey isn't it? Right? Right. So. If we're not swimming, then..."Her eyes look around. There something of a path up ahead. If she jumped there, then there. Maybe she could make it? She let's go of Talon's handle and moves the sword onto her back. "Ok. Wrap your tassel around my arm there. Yeah, no. Can't hold you like that, I need my hand free. There. See that rock? We're going to try jumping from that, to that, to that, and then maybe we'll be where we need to be. Got it? Ok. Hold on tight."Muku is taking the high ground. 18 on Acrobatics, 24 on Perception.

A short goodbye and a wave of a hand, then the Nidorina and the trainer were heading towards the inland. "Its been quite some time since I've been close to a mountain without another human around. Bit odd in a way," she comments with a shake of her head. There was something down inside her that wanted to claim the earth and rock as her own. It was a nice sized one. Not as spread out as home, but certainly not a bad choice.
The sounds of cries caught both Terra and Queen's ears. Heads turning towards the commotion. "What the...?" Terra mutters with a sound of distaste at the ruining of quieter time. "Bothersome..." she comments, glancing down to the blue pokemon. "Should we see what is the cause?" She hated the idea of having to climb while listening to the screaming and crashing.
Queen wasn't the most eager to investigate, however the same idea of the commotion continuing during their trek was reflected in her expression. Before giving a hesitant none the too thrilled nod.

Talon is adept at lodging itself into stone, and several times during Muku's descent provides a handhold where there might not have otherwise been one. Reaching the floor of the cave, the air has a palpable presence to it. As though every shadow were staring like moochbird. But they are not hungry for Muku's seeds no. They are hungry for what Talon covets. Talon has stopped pointing. His eye watched Muku. The remains of a wooden ship, with tall splintered masts and shredded sails lay surrounded by the rock. Long since forgotten.

To Terra's surprise, a saurian figure that was present in only her absolute earliest memories was devouring from a boulder field it had cleared of trees. Though there seemed to be plenty of food readily available to it, it aggressively tore up yet another tree, destroying habitats without consideration for the lives present in them.

The birb girl eyes her sword, glancing back and forth between it and the sunken ship that lay before it. "That's what we're here for? A sunken human bobber? I mean, I guess, but how did it even get in here? There were a lot of jagged rocks that way, and I guess there could be another way, but it's like, why would you put your ship here?"
She pouts. Ship. That was the human word for it. Come to think of it, so was bobber. "It's frustrating, you know? Knowing things. I mean like, ok. You see a thing and you don't know what it is. Easy right? Ok. That's fine. There's no words for it. But have you ever stop to think that, wow, hey, why Muku, you suddenly know all of these different words? Like, I didn't know human talk. Where did that even come from? Why do I know it? Why do I know what the moon rune things they call 'letters' and how do I get that they do the word thing? I don't like it! It's awful. Thinking is awful. Knowing things is awful."
An awkward pause takes hold of the conversation as Muku gestures towards Talon with her free hand. If Talon was saying anything, Muku didn't hear it. "Right. Talking to a sword. No, a Pokémon. A sword Pokémon. So. Talking to both. Not that you really care, but ok, sure."
Breathe. Air pulls into her chest and out her mouth. The cave. The cave had to be getting to her. If her destination was this destitute, ruined thing, then that's where she needed to go. "Ok. No more wasting time." She says. Her footsteps carry her forward, onward to the wreckage. There probably had to be some way into the hold, right?
Hold. Another human word. BAH!!!

Upon the sight of the creature that came into view, Terra paused for a moment. Mind working to make the connection of what it was. Then seeing the boulder being devoured, she blinked in a moment of connecting dots that she had seen this pokemon before. There was a mixture of awe at the power and distaste towards the actions, and perhaps just a tinge of jealousy of the other eating from the field.
Queen watched the scene for a little bit, before glancing back towards the path that they had been taking. Then up towards Terra, waiting to see what she'd do.

Talon's eye half lidded in mild annoyance. If Muku weren't so adamant that ghosts weren't real, and stopped making noise once in awhile maybe Talon could have told her about the trove his forefathers were recovered from.
Ahead of them, the mast shifted with an angry splintering of wood, bent at unsettling angles, a baleful eye peering from the bow of the ship. An anchor clawed at the rock for purchase. Oil lanterns hanging from the banisters lit with an eerie purple flame. The creak of timbers and scrape of metal on stone gave way to silence. Whatever prize lay with the creature, it was willing to corner itself for it.
