Morty laughs a little. "I didn't really believe a Celebi would show up either. If one was going to, it probably would have by now. I choose to believe this is so Miyako can learn that her actions have consequences out here." He sighs. "In the case that you cannot re-enter this Alternate Ilex, then there is no harm done. Given your story, however, I would think you'd wish to tag along in order to ensure Miyako's safe reunion with her sister. Regardless, you are free to leave whenever, Miss Erlast, and I look forward to seeing you in my Gym again soon."

"Well yes I do want to tag along, so if you want to contact me when you go, that would be great."
As for coming to the gym... yeah that may not happen very soon. She leaves for now, and decides to test her luck on this crazy day again by continuing onto Route 36. She's still worried about Miyako but unfortunately can't really do anything right now.

Morty agrees to do just that (presuming Whitney doesn't beat him to it), and wishes her well when she heads out again. Out on Route 36, she spots a Chikorita training by itself. Looks like it's been at it awhile too.

She walks up and observes it in action for a while, seeing what it’s doing.

It keeps practicing one move over and over. Then it switches to a new move. Then it runs around the clearing several times. Then it takes a break. Now seems like the perfect time to go over and say hello!

Victoria walks over during the creatures break and waves.
”Hello little one! What you out here training for?”

It immediately leaps up and goes on a little rant about what it's doing. Alas, Victoria cannot actually understand what it's saying.

She can't understand, but you know who can and can relay it to her? Grazie! Victoria sends her out to telepathically translate for her.

Grazie actually has to ask the excitable little Chikorita to slow down a bit before she can start translating for Victoria. After a "long", rambling explanation by Chikorita, Grazie frowns in confusion before relaying the info to Vicky. Grazie says that this Chikorita is named 'Ash', and was apparently a human at some point? Apparently they were a 'Pokemon Master' (whatever that means), and lived a long and fruitful life as a human. When it was his time, he was content. Not precisely happy, as he was leaving all his friends behind, but contented. He closed his eyes and then...opened them again. When he 'woke up', he realized he was a newly hatched Chikorita. No, he does not know why/how, but this is a thing and he relishes the chance to go on another adventure. He's gonna be the best Chikorita, like no one ever was!
Grazie secretly shares with Vicky that she thinks this 'Ashorita' is a bit crazy.

Victoria 'wuts' a lot at this. This sounds a bit like Red, but she's never heard of an 'Ash'. She leans down to it.
"Well ok 'Ash', you gonna go on an adventure by yourself, or you gonna need somebody to help ya?"

'Ashorita' seems at once excited by the prospect of traveling with someone and nervous about what being in a Poke Ball is like. He does want to travel with Victoria though, she seems nice!

"Alright then Ash, you are coming with me!"
She boops the possibly crazy Chikorita with a ball!

Well THAT battle had some issues. Don't know what that Toxicroak did to Grazie but not being able to hit her opponent wasn't great. But she still was victorious in the end.
...oh great now Whitney's got 'her' doing it.
Anyway, she makes it in town and heals up. Now with the rest of the day ahead of her after today's crazy events, she heads to the ruins of alph and see what it has in store for her.

The Ruins of Alph are as mysterious as ever. A few years back, some kid named Lucas, from Sinnoh, claimed that he met Arceus here and got an Egg containing one of the Creation Trio, but after investigation, the kid had apparently been fooled by the local Unown for Unown reasons. None of his story was real, and he was quite embarrassed about it. Especially considering he was the Champion of the Lilly of the Valley Conference (Sinnoh's regional Pokemon League Tournament). Seeing as he was one of those 10-year-old prodigies, nobody blamed him being overeager to share his story. Thankfully for Lucas and his family, everything blew over quickly enough when the Kalos region had its own "evil team crisis". Now, that story is just another footnote in the annals of history.
Here, today, the Ruins of Alph are barely even frequented anymore. Most tourists have seen all there is to see, and even scientists have mostly given up finding anything new. There are still a handful of folks who regularly scour the place for anything new and exciting, but so far nothing has ever come of this.

Another stop in her 'lived here her whole life but never visited' tour, the Ruins of Alph! It's a bit polarizing, because on the one hand, it stays inactive for long periods at a time, and a single Unown isn't exactly 'strong'. But then you hear stories of people who make combo-unowns as single fighters and use them for magic, and then stories of the power of the Unown hivemind itself and it's crazy power.
So it's an oddball situation. She's expecting nothing, but hey maybe something cool will happen. Maybe she'll even find a 'V'! That'd be neat!
She heads in and begins to look around.

Well, the very first thing Victoria notices is that the Unown are openly out and about. That...is not normal. They don't appear agitated (and locals know when they're agitated), and yet here they are. Milling about like any other Pokemon. Of course, this naturally spooks the other native Pokemon just as much as it would spook/intrigue the humans, so right now that appears to be all that's here in terms of Pokemon. Just some random Unown.

"...Huh."
That is odd, and Victoria is tempted to have Grazie out to connect, but she gets the feeling that may end up ending badly. So maybe not. She decides to just keep going further, see if there is a 'reason' the Unown are out and about, or maybe they are just getting some air?

Aside from pretty much trading the normal Pokemon in the tall grass with the local Unown population (they don't even breed, where do they keep coming from?! Are they immortal or something?), nothing seems obviously out of the ordinary. Heck, even the rushing about of scientists, ruin maniacs, and Unown enthusiasts is expected given the circumstances. They seem busy though, and the 'horror stories' concerning them cornering others to rant about their (often crackpot) theories about this and that for literal hours that Victoria has heard in the past have her giving them a wide berth. In her eagerness to avoid the (potentially) crazy people, Victoria nearly trips over a "?" Unown. It stares at her with a half-lidded eye for a bit, then floats off on its own.
Oh, yes, that's right, the tile puzzles within some of the ruins were said to have changed relatively recently. Originally, these puzzles seemed to be what released the Unown into the ruins below, so who knows what (if anything) they might do now!
