“Hmmm. Desert could work. Rocky mountain areas maybe?. I wouldn’t mind checking caves, or mountains. Trust me, I can get around if I need to.”

"A volcano?" Stella thinks out loud. Surely there might be both fire and steel types there! Oh and seeing a volcano would be neat! And she was glad that Gwen didn't worry about getting around, even though she was slightly worried herself about pushing the chair up a mountain. On the other hand going down would be a blast ...

"Hmm..." Nori hums thoughtfully as he calls out Oridra. After a little too long cooped up in her ball, the little Totodile's clearly feeling even more rambunctious than usual, scampering around Nori's feet as he considers the best place to go. "What do you think, should we see if the prof has stocked any dragons around here?"
Well, Dragon-types like caves and mountains don't they? And even if they don't run into a dragon, there are plenty of tough, rugged Pokémon in places like that. "C'mon, monster princess. Let's go find a cave and see what sort of monsters we can turn up." After all, his mom's not here to complain about him exploring dangerous places now...

Stella/Gwen- Both of them wander, and ponder, seemingly going in circles. They look at the skyline. AND... No. There's no volcanos. Well shoot. That'd be nice, right? But wondering and thinking maybe helped out. They actually almost accidentally run into a blasting pipe of steam in a particularly dry area with sparse greeny around. Steam shooting out... well that means there's gotta be some hot activity below! But... well how to get to it?
Yue/Nori- The hidden god and the Kaiju man team up and start looking for dragon types. And well, that's pretty hard without deep caves around. Or a mountain. Dragons are picky about where they live, aren't they? Before they really look at eachother and go 'wait wtf do we do now', there's a loud commotion that gets their attention. They round a corner of a boulder and find a bunch of eggs making a strange tribal dance of sorts. And when two humans come on by they turn around and chatter a bunch at them!

"!!!" Stella stops with a start and jerks the chair backwards away from the hot water. Why was it doing that?!
"Look!" she pointed at the giant cloud of vapour as if it wasn't a glaringly obvious thing she had almost driven Gwen into.
Yes it was clearly something worth investigating. But how? She didn't want to dig anywhere too close and get a face-full of hot water. Hmm. Hmm ...

Gwen looks around from her point of view, and smirks. "That looks like our area. Come on. Jasmine can help us." She tosses out a ball, and a massive flash of light erupts from it. It takes form into that of a massive Onix. "Hey there. Find us where that steam is coming from." Gwen is easily able to get out of her chair with assistance from her giant pokemon. She pulls Stella up along for the ride, and Onix begins to travel about using its Tremorsense to find the steam's origin.

Hmm. Water yeah. It must be coming from somewhere! And finding water in odd places was a thing she was supposed to be good at was it not? She thought so at least. Plus - how hard could it really be to dowse? The steam plume was right there! Stella lets go of the chair and wanders around looking for a good-looking stick to use. Once/if she finds one she returns and holds it up triumphantly for Gwen to inspect before she tries her hand at some water dowsing!

Waaaah! Gwen apparently had a much larger stick (made out of rock!). Okay let's see how this goes! Stella doesn't mind coming along for a ride (in fact she had hoped that Gwen would offer her a spot in the rolly-chair, at least a little bit)!

"Whoa, check it out, dancing eggs! That's new."
Nori crouches down to examine the egg creatures curiously, especially when they turn and start chattering at him. He's good at staring people down, but what he really needs to be able to do now is make friends. Or possibly battle them. "Hey there! Sorry we interrupted your dance. Is it okay if I watch?"
He tilts his head thoughtfully. He did a lot of reading up to prepare for becoming a trainer, and now would be a good time to remember if he's run across Pokémon that look like eggs in his books.

Stella/Gwen- Gwen’s Onix lays flat to get a full sense of everything. After a moment, it rears up before plowing it’s face full force into the ground. It takes a bit of fortitude to stay on at the sudden jolt, but when it’s head is back up, a tunnel is revealed! And steam comes wasping out. And once the rubble clears, there’s some sounds of battle down below. ...And now it’s closer. Now it sounds really close! And then the two fighting figures emerge! One seems to be a big metal ant, and the other looks like a bipedal fire type with a long thin tongue. And with the look in their eyes, they seem to want to kill each other, even with the obvious steel types disadvantage. Looks like you got a split second to act before they don’t care who gets in the way.

While Nori converses with the eggs, Yue goes off to try and find a dragon-type. Yue didn't like eggs, they reminded her too much of grapes.

Gwen pets her Onix on its good job. She then grins as she spots the two pokemon. "Oooo! Those look like winners. I'm going for that Durant. How about you, Stella?"

Well Stella's probably going for the fire type, isn't she? There's only one other target after all. Aaaaand the second is over. The fire type throws a blast of fire that lands near Onix, and pelts everyone with super-heated dirt! (Stella/Onix/Gwen lose 5 hp) With that miss, the Durant strikes back and gives a pretty good nip on the other.

Yes! Stella wanted the fiery ant-eater. So she pointed at it while trying to dodge the hot dirt.

Onix shields them from the flames as best as possible, and then Gwen and itself move in on the ant. Onix charges in with some rolling rocks, and Gwen, who has produced a rather pristine looking rifle, takes a shot. Rock Throw vs Durant AC 4 vs eWxuge1B1d20 DMG:2d6+22 Rock Phys Rock Head: 2d6

To battle! Stella-A released her own insect-eater Phobos the Fomantis and dashed at the fire pokémon. !! And she didn't stop when she reached it - no she was intent on running it down!

The highly flammable Pho was much more careful though. He kept his distance and used his Hidden Power! Thanks to Stella's influence it took the shape of a small meteor streaking towards the ant-eater. Disclaimer! He realized enough that was happening that he'd hold onto his rock if the anteater looked too injured.

The first attack misses the bug, but the second attack nicks it with a metallic 'ding'. With these humans and pokemon also attacking them, the Durant decides to blind the Heatmor and get the HELL out of this mess. Meanwhile Stella and Pho ravage the Heatmor, and it doesn't look like it can take much more. But now blind, it lashes out with a wreath of fire in a random direction! Screw all these attackers! Stella took a quick step back to assess the situation. Aight! It look like it was time for her strongest attack. She solemnly reached into her pockets and then lifted her hands over her head, holding the complimentary pokéball high. 0ZfKqhT_1d20+1 vs AC 6 1d20+1 vs Capture Threshold
