"Huh. Guess it's gone." Svetlana comments. "Ah well. It wasn't what I thought it was anyway. I'm going back to what I was doing before." She then proceeds to walk back outside to her "cozy" tree and lets Fennekin back out to relax with her.

"Ahem! I dost believe I said I was not a fizgig! You shouldst not use words of which you know the meaning of! Mine name is Yue von Ravenbrandt, and I shall thank you to use it instead of an insult to mine chasity!" Yue yells, leaning over the rooftop at the people leaning out the window.

"It's not my fault I don't know your name, lady!"
Nori just... turns around to yell right back up at her. Somebody should probably tell him not to lean backwards on the windowsill like that. "Okay, fine, Yue! I'm Nori! Why don't you... un-roof yourself? I don't even know how you got up there."
Nori would assert that saying "fizgig" is the most memorable thing Yue has done in his presence prior to jumping out a window and somehow ending up on the roof, but this doesn't seem to be the time. "Okay, my bag is dispossessed and whoever that was chasing the ghost is gone, so if nobody minds I'm gonna go try to finish my lunch before the prof shows up or somebody insults me in samurai-talk again. See you guys back downstairs?"

Gwen pinches the bridge of her nose, and starts backing up. "Ok. Enough of this. Beep beep. Out of the way." Time to hop off this ride, and get off back in reality. Gwen heads back down through the elevator. Hopefully it was close to begin what it was they were there for.

Yue looked around, finding a open door leading back into the building. Realizing that her impulsiveness had caused her to unnecessarily use her other form in public, she sighed and ran back down to where the others were. "My apologies for the scare, everyone. Unfortunately, it wouldst seem as though the specter has fled beyond my ability to give chase. Natheless, might I inquire as to the purpose of this gathering?"

A bar? Hmm. She really didn't think they'd let her walk in there. They'll say she was much too young! And - wait what happened with the bag?! ! And where did everyone go?! !! Stella looked around wildly and then gave chase up the stairs only to see everyone starting to come back down. She had missed it. Wasn't sure what it was that she had missed, but it was clearly something. Ah well! Better luck next time. Stella heads down to the food again.

"Purpose? Well, uh, we're all here for the starting-trainer thing." Nori gives Yue a curious look. "Is that not why you're here?"
He smiles when they catch up with the short girl. "Oh, hey. Thanks for, um, un-possessing my bag? I have no idea how you did that but thanks. Shame the ghost was faster than us. I don't think I ever caught your name, by the way? I'm Nori." He'll head back to the table along with her. Hopefully nobody has swiped his plate.

"Registration desk is over there." Melissa points. "Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll offer you a crash course on modern English, too."

"I hast no earthly clue what though dost mean to imply. Mine mannerisms are perfectly acceptable the way they are!" Yue says with a huff, before walking over to the registration counter.

It doesn't take Yue long to get registered. It's not as easy as everyone who was already in the system, but some last minute people were expected. As she's finishing up, some of the league individuals note that everyone who pre-registered has arrived already and that everyone else (outside of Yue) seemed to have slowed to a crawl. They send someone to the back and the others start rounding the assorted people up right outside the front of the building. Outside of the six of you that already met up, there's a whole range of trainers here, from the normal to the odd.
But there's not much time to take them in for now, as some of the aides and league assistants come out with bags full of pokeballs, followed by a woman with a commanding presence and a lab coat. Her hair is a bit frazzled (from what looks like stress), and her outfit looks nice but like it's not taken care of. She crosses her arms and looks out onto the collection of trainers. Her expression is a bit sharp, like she's more commanding an army rather that teaching kids, or maybe she's half-expecting someone to get out of line real quick.
"Trainers, welcome to your first step in the league. I am Professor Larch For those of you joining us now, it's assumed you know the basics of league play and pokemon training. There's a few of you..."
She looks at the few younger trainers.
"Who've been here for a few days should know 'now', so I hope that everyone is on the same level. Before we let you all go, there will be two things before heading north to Viridian. First, today we are letting you out onto the Pallet Reserve. Nearly every type of biome is supported there. In his last few years, this was I and Oak's day to day getting it up and running. So if there's a type you are looking for, chances are you'll find it. Each of you will be getting three pokeballs to go out and get ONE pokemon. Please keep that in mind. Don't be greedy. The environment is a bit fragile."
The aides start handing out pokeballs to everyone as she continues.
"...And then you'll have the rest of the day to work with your new pokemon, and then you'll be using both in a tournament we'll have tomorrow. There is a 'special' egg for the winner. And then after that, you'll be on your own."
She leads everyone to a gate, and then inside is the Reserve. Larch does state that they are free to explore, there are pokemon belonging to the aides and herself patrolling for danger, but she does also state most pokemon in here are pretty passive.
(Everyone can feel free to team up here or go it alone, but each of you declare a type of pokemon you'd like, followed by a d100 luck roll, and then either a Perception, Survival, or Pokemon Edu roll)

Svetlana and her Fennekin head out on their own, searching for areas that ghost-type Pokemon may congregate in.

Gwen listened to the professor's speech, and was super excited to get started. She tapped her chin as she debated on what pokemon to go looking for. She really wanted that egg, and what could help her pull out her first big win. She was tossing around types like fire, fighting, and ground. But, a few key pokes popped into her head. Hopefully a Steel type would be her ticket.

Stella wasn't sure how she had actually expelled the ghost - to her knowledge the tag should have kept it in. Maybe she should find a ghost expert and ask? Still though: praise was praise! The small girl straightened up and beamed as she accepted the thanks. "You're welcome!" she shared her name as they got back to the table. "I'm Stella-Ares."
It was a shame though that the wispy-thing had ran away. Stella looked up, trying to look trough the roof and walls. Unsuccessfully though. She brought up her hands to her chin to ponder. "What do you think it was?" She waited a while for a reply before adding that she meant the wisp by pointing at the dispossessed bag.
---
Hmm... What type should she find? She liked grass pokémon. They're neat! But she also knew that the odds were good that she could find more grass types outside. Also she had Pho. Hmm! Stella's brow furrowed as she thought harder. With a brief glance at the bag again she thought "dragon?". No, that was weird. Hmm. Psychic or fire? Hmm hmm hmm! Either would work. Let's go with fire for now! Fire was pretty.
O_vCa0uxd100 Luck!
3d6 Survival!
Hmm. Wonder if anyone would be interested in coming along with her into the reserve? Stella wandered just a few steps into the enclosure before stopping and looking around.d100·3d6

Yue, in light of the trouble she's likely to face, decides that it would best to get a dragon type to help protect her. To that end, she calls out her shiny Ralts by the name of Bubbles and has her assist in the search.

There were certain things expected of you when you were a mad justifiably aggravated scientist. Beakers and tubes full of colorful bubbling liquid, Van de Graaff generators, complicated-looking machinery, rows upon rows of unlabeled switches, dials and blinking lights... and of course the traditional lab coat and goggles, the only part Melissa had managed to keep when fleeing her erstwhile alma mater. The Pokemon accompanying such science tended towards a similar aesthetic: artificial-looking Electric and Steel Pokemon, the kind that looked like they were constructed rather than hatched, and the occasional Poison-typed industrial byproduct. In this regard, Melissa was a traditionalist. However, the events immediately preceding her hasty departure made one weakness of this tradition very clear: Ground-types. The blasted things shrugged off her best lightning attacks like they didn't even exist, and went on to tear a hole through any poor Magnemite or Grimer unfortunate enough to stand in their path. If she's going to make it as a trainer, she'll have to do something about that.
And a bit of cursory research has found the perfect solution to her little problem: Ice-types. Melissa sets out in search of the colder biomes.

Gwen breathes a bit heavily as she reaches the edge of the enclosed. She definitely should have brought her electric chair...She does spot That orange girl, Stella, standing about. Gwen felt weird letting her look lost...aaaand someone to push herself along was better than her struggling. She wheels on over, and waves. “Yo, Stella, right? Wanna go looking for pokes? I’ll hang out with ya if ya give me a push.” She smiles, and points to her chair handles with her thumb.

Hmm. Stella considered the proposal for only a moment before nodding vigorously since it was two things she had to answer yes to! Unless the chair or the one in it were much heavier then they looked this shouldn't be any problem. Unless ... Unless she wanted to go to the swamp biome? Hmm. Hopefully not though! But maybe if they had skiis or something under the wheels? Stella ponders the potential outcomes while pushing the chair forward while trying to not run people down. Oh! she realized - "You have a name too right?" she asked. It would seem really unfair otherwise!

That was easy. Still, it would be nice with two pairs of eyes to spot pokes. “Huh? Oh. Gwen. My name’s Gwen. I’m looking for a steel type out here.” She smiles, and keeps an eye out for her types, and bumps so she isn’t thrown from her chair.

*Push-push-push* Hmm. A steel pokémon? Where would one find those? Maybe there was a cave or something somewhere? Hmm. But she didn't think the rolling chair would do too well with steep inclines. Hmm-hmm-hmm. Hopefully Gwen had some idea about that! Anyhow. She wanted a warm and bright fire type. Wonder if there's somewhere where they and steel types coexist? Ironworks? "Hmm..."
"Where are those?" Oh! The desert maybe! Bet there would be both there! Right? "Desert maybe?" Ohh or dessert! That'd be delicious ...
