Rei and her spectral companion eventually are given directions to the Poison Branch. Upon entering the main room, Rei finds it to be filled with a purple haze; bodies strewn all across the room, laying where they fell.

Rei enters to a sight she wasn’t expecting. First things first, check one of the bodies. See if it’s just unconsciousness... or worse. Sol keeps watch while Rei covers her mouth and checks the pulse of one.

Well that’s not great. Someone must have been messing with some poisons they shouldn’t have! Officially this is the point where she needs to warn somebody. Time to leave. She turns to leave and go warn somebody before this gas can get out!

Rei is panicking for a moment but then it hits her. Wait, why would the damn doors close during a deadly ‘accident’? That doesn’t make any sense... unless this was on purpose. And with being warned about it...
This is either a deadly trap, or more than likely a prank of their own. Now that she knows... well she’ll just play along for now. Time to search. She follows the trail of bodies to the source.1d2

As Rei presses further into the Branch, following the trail of bodies, she begins to hear strange sounds. Like a slow shuffling of feet.

The sounds appear to be coming from further into the branch, but are coming closer.

The shuffling slowly draws closer, and when it round the corner nearest Rei, she sees what looks like a walking corpse begin its movement down the hall. It doesn't seem to notice her.

As if sensing Rei's intent, the zombie turns towards her; only to get a face-full of sleepy magic. The zombie collapses, only for Rei to be assaulted from behind by a second zombie! When she phases through its grasp to escape, she finds herself surrounded on nearly all sides by the 'corpses' she saw earlier! They got up and are now slowly boxing her in!

Rei decides that in the off case that this IS real, it’s best to skedaddle. She wiggles her fingers and makes ghost noises as she phases through the nearby wall!

Rei whoop-whoop-whoops into the wall and away from the 'zombies'. The zombies return to wandering the halls, somehow always managing to be right there whenever she needs to pop out.

With nothing on the other side, Rei can't keep phasing for long through the walls. She's getting a bit tired. She finally has to phase out and see what this place has cooked up for her next in this very elaborate trick.

Rei is pummeled into unconsciousness by the horrid stench of the zombies. When she wakes up a short time later, everything seems as normal as you please. No signs of zombies, zombie outbreaks, or zombie-creating gasses. Just normal people milling about the dorm room doing normal things.

...or that could happen. Rei guesses they'll probably point it out if it DID happen, or she'll just write it off as toxic fumes affecting her somehow. She gets up like it didn't bother her, and goes to find the branch leader!
