"Reckon we oughta get started sooner rather'n later, seeing as how we're on a time limit. But it's getting late, I don't know how much help we'll be able to find at this hour." Brooke scratches her head, thinking, as she surveys the street. "Let's head over to the healer's, and ask who we should talk to about threats to the town while we're gettin' our Pokemon seen to."

“Sounds like a plan, maybe they will know who we could ask about who is attacking the Zangoose, maybe they also have a way we could send a message to Saffron. If so maybe we could send a message to get some back up. I think Rei might be willing to help us,” Leon said thinking the healing was a good idea but also felt they needed a few more people.

It's a bit late, but luckily the local healer hasn't gone to bed just yet. Everyone gets patched up as much as possible as they hand over the requested amount of money. Those who have never visited a non-Guild healer find that it's a bit more expensive, but not by too much.

Brooke declines after seeing the prices (she tries not to wince), and Snug seems to have emerged with nothing more than a few bruises. Her companions, however, make the trip worthwhile. Not to mention. "Hey, uh. I'm new around here, but we ran into trouble on the road and we think it might be headed for the town. Who should I talk to about that? Is there a local lord, or a town guard, or something' like that?"

Yue's still not saying anything, just walking forward and looking down...until she runs into a wall. "Huh?! Is it an enemy?! Are we under attack?!" She says, frantically looking around. "Where...? Oh, yeah, I remember now! I was thinking really hard about life and death and I fell asleep while walking! Well, I'm awake now! So where are we going first, Brooke...?" She says, trailing off as she realizes that that Brooke isn't there. While Brooke and Leon headed to the healers, Yue just kept sleep walking in a straight line...leading her to be all by herself in an unfamiliar city.

"Great. Leon, you stay here and get your critters seen to while I go talk to the Mayor. Yue, you stick with..." Only then does Brooke realizes that Yue is nowhere to be seen. "Aw hell. Leon, did you see where Yue got off to?"

Leon looked around and sighed "You know I just realized, leaving Yue with her Ninja family to learn how to walk quietly and sneak around might make it harder to keep track of her when we don't have eyes locked on her, What should we do? Backtrack and see if we can find her?" he suggested as he looked to where Nue used to be "Hey do you know where your sister headed off too?"

"I hope that means they snuck off together." Brooke sighs. "Okay, here's what we'll do. Let's check out the inn and any other buildings she might've gone into, and I'll send Sharp up to check out the streets from above. He's got pretty good night eyes." She heads out the door to release her Spearow Fearow with his instructions.

The town not being terribly big means it's quite easy for Sharp to spot the wayward Yue. Even with her lost wanderings. How does one get lost in a village of 50 people? Only Yue knows.

Sharp announces his findings with a piercing "REEEEEEE!" before swooping down to perch in land in front of Yue. The noise draws Brooke out of the inn at a run - either her Fearow's found Yue, or he's gotten himself into trouble... luckily, it seems it's the former.
"There you are!" It's Yue's turn to be swept up in a forceful hug. "Don't go wandering off at night without tellin' us, Yue, you had us worried."

Leon had followed Brooke, figuring it would be best to split up if Sharp hadn't found anything, as it would embarrassing if he got lost while looking for the separated Yue. Glad the girl was unharmed Leon smiled walking over "Yue it's fine if you want to explore, but let us know first. With your ninja training, it's a bit harder to notice when you split off."

"Yeah, we're in Cerulean. Let's get you and your Pokemon over to the healer's; Leon will stay there with you while I go see if the Mayor's about."
Brooke is really not sure how one goes about approaching a mayor, but she figures walking over to the indicated house and knocking is a good start.

With Yue and her Pokemon dropped off at the Healer's, and Leon (plus Nue) keeping an eye on her, Brooke makes her way over to the largest house in town. Naturally, this must be the Mayor's place. Knocking politely on the door returns a response that no outsider could have reliably predicted. Instead of a person answering the door, it's a Pokemon. ... Okay, maybe one could have predicted that. Some people do have Pokemon aiding them around the house instead of going on adventures, after all. This one though... probably not what one would expect. Instead of a calm, serene Psychic-Type, there is instead a nearly 7 1/2 foot Feraligatr standing in the doorway. It shows no signs of hostility, but just having one loom over you is usually enough to make one nervous.

The Feraligatr offers a toothy grin and looms just a little more menacingly before an actual human voice calls out from further in. "Gertrude? Who's at the door?" A woman no older than 20 opens the door the rest of the way and playfully shoves the giant Pokemon back a bit. "Hello! I'm so sorry if Gertrude startled you. She's wonderful around the house, but has a tendency to deliberately try to frighten late-night visitors." She shoots a look at the Pokemon in question, who merely offers another toothy grin before stalking back off into the house. "My name is Kalani, and yes, I am the Mayor here in Cerulean. It's a bit late for a visit, but how can I help you?"

"Not to worry, ma'am. I wouldn't normally bother you so late, but 'm afraid it's kind of urgent. And not good news, either. D'you mind if I come in?" It's late enough that there aren't really people about, but Brooke still feels a bit uneasy discussing this out on the doorstep.
