You walked into that one, Brooke. She hid a wince. "Let's see what he thinks of it," she said, not wanting to reject the suggestion out of hand. She had asked, after all. Yue hadn't given her two new Pokemon silly names... "It's his name, after all, he oughta like it."
The Treecko emerged from his Apricorn in a ready crouch, glancing around the infirmary as if counting possible foes. "Hi there. 's come to my attention that I haven't given you a proper name yet. This young lady thought you might like Sir Leafsalot; how's that sound?" He gave her an unblinking stare. "Or maybe Leaf?" Shrug. "Leaf it is."

Alex eyed the two new additions. He totally forgot to go with her to get an Eevee. Alex was glad to see that she managed to grow her team some though. He eyed Dukes up and down and noded. “Dukes huh? You look tough enough. Your job is to protect my new little sister okay? You do that and I’ll keep you healthy. Sound fair?” Alex holds out his fist for a fist bump from the little bunny. He turns back to the group while waiting on the fist bump and says, “I’ll explain later. Let’s just say that I think I got a promotion.”
Overhearing Brooke ask for a name, Alex was at a loss. He hadn’t seen Brooke’s other companion yet, so he wasn’t sure what it should be called. He chuckled as he though of a second Sharp. “Is he anything like Sharp? Will Sharp even let you have another partner? He seems like a handful already. I can’t imagine another one of him around.” Alex pauses and thinks for a second. “You know, I don’t think I’ve introduced you guys to my newest addition either. Come here Stout.” Alex reaches for his ball and releases Stout. The Turtwig once again only comes out of the ball withdrawn in it’s shell. As he pokes his head out and sees everyone around, he yells a small “Twig” then retreats right back into his shell. Alex scratches the back of his head and says, “I’m working on that.”

Seeing everybody else let out their new pokemon, Leon decided to follow suit letting out Toadstool "This is Toadstool, so far he's been pretty brave and always ready for a scrap" he said as Toadstool snapped his claws a bit, looking at the other pokemon wondering if this was another battle, seeming to ready himself for combat despite being against 5 other pokemon "See what I mean?" Leon asked kneeling down putting a hand on the grass type letting him know that this wasn't a battle.
Leon looked over to Alex "Hey would you mind coming to the market with me? If any shops are still open I'd like to buy a few things to get ready for our swamp expedition." he said remembering Alex's offer from earlier.

Alex looked toward Leon and said, "Of course I can Leon. I think we all need to go anyways, so it's a good time to go as any. I guess we can walk these little guys just to get them some fresh air. Maybe they can start to bond a bit. Seems like they are all Grass types. Who would have thought." He chuckles at the fact that somehow, they had all managed to get some type of Grass partner joining the guild. He figured at least one of them wouldn't find something and move on to another spot in the pen. Before he leaves, Alex waits to see what the Healer had for him in trade for the berry. Better to get everything now and not forget it like he did the mulch, or checking back with D'Mara, or going with Yue to get her an Eevee. Alex sighs as he remember all the things he's been forgetting as of late.

The Healer offers up some leftover medical scraps to Alex in exchange for the berry. It's not much, but it's something. (Alex gets enough scrap for like... 2 bandages?)

Leon chuckled "That's true, We all picked a grass type to travel alongside, maybe we've got similar sensibilities. Though with Toadstool it's more like he picked me. I went searching for someone to be a good foil to Rex in a Grass-type, and Toadstool was the only pokemon in the area who wasn't intimidated was him. In fact, he just walked up and asked for head scratches. So it seemed like fate," he said scratching the mushroom bug between his mushrooms getting a happy chirp from the creature, before standing up.
"Going altogether seems like a plan, but I'll meet you guys out front. I saw something in the pamphlet I'd like to check out. It said they had Mentor's here who could aid your pokemon in getting stronger, and with my recent windfall I believe it would be good to give us a bit more of an edge for the swamp." Leon said heading off to the mentor showing them both Rex and Toadstool, then described the move he'd witnessed Sharp use, asking if either of his pokemon could learn the same move. The Mentor suggested Bullet Seed for Toadstool as a move that had the same type of potential. Leon paid the mentor, managing to pull out the fee with his meager understanding though worried he'd annoyed the Mentor by paying with only 1 and 10 crown coins. With his pokemon trained Leon went out to the front of the guild to wait for the others.

Duke fists bumps Alex, Dory gets startled every time she turns her head as if seeing new people for the first time, and Bubbles and Cuddles are exploring every inch of the infirmary. Yue leaves Dukes and the exploration duo with the group and puts Dory back in her ball to go and report her completion of the D rank mission to catch a pokemon.

Alex kept Stout close, well as close as he could. The little turtle stuck out his legs only barely enough to get his shell off the ground and scuttled behind the group. This caused him to take forever to get the the front gate. By the time he got there, everyone else should have been out there waiting on him. “Come on little buddy, they’re waiting on us.” Alex said encouragingly towards Stout. “You can do it buddy. You’re tough. Don’t be afraid of anything. I’ll take care of you. Come on, come out of that shell. You can do it.” Stout slowly inched out of his shell bit by bit. This whole thing took awhile. By the time they got to the group, Stout was fully out his shell, and taking in the outside world. “Yay you did it! Now let’s go with our friends and explore around town.” He took Stout and walked into town.
Alex made a stop into the shop and simple picked up two items. He bought a paralyze heal and a basic apricorn ball. He didn’t make a lot from winning today. He would have to try harder tomorrow. Hopefully he could complete the two quests he’d taken as well. He looked to Leon and Yue and said, “If you guys need help, let me know. I’ll be right behind you. When we’re done here, I’m ready to go.”

Leon made his way through the market with Alex, managing to find a shop run by a magic tool maker, from her shop Leon bought an Enchanted Lantern, that wouldn't be ruined if Leon or one of the others accidentally dropped it in the swamp. He tried to find some medical scrap for the team's doctor Alex, however the medical scrap seemed to be a rare commodity, or a high value one, as no apothecaries or alchemists were willing to part with it. The only thing did manage to find were more volatile reagents used in his own mixtures.
Leon also purchased a potion to make up for his failure to find medical scrap. During the trip, Toadstool kept nipping at Yue's new little bunny, believing the tough rabbit was trying to pick a fight with it. Leon tried to stop the mushroom bug's antics but the Pokémon just started it back up when he wasn't looking.
(-600 for Enchanted Lamp for Area, -200 for 200 Chemical Scrap,, -200 for potion, -1000 Total)

Yue looked to Leon. "Why not just let them have a go at it if they're so eager?" She said, putting her new basic balls into her bag.

Leon nodded "Sounds like a good idea to me, it will let them work this out, and give you an idea of Duke's fighting strength," he said, Toadstool seeming more than ready to have a crack at Duke.

"First of all, it's Dukes, not Duke. You know, because it's slang for fists or something like that? Second, I've got an errand to run real quick so you'll need to tell me what I missed. Later Mr. Leon!" Yue dashes off on her own to do a bit of secret shopping.

With Dukes final strike he managed to knock out the mushroom bug who fell unconscious "Man my teammate's pokemon are tough." he said returning Toadstool before seeing the shape that Dukes was in "Come on let's get you healed up too, since Toadstool pulled you into this fight." he said going and getting Toadstool and Dukes healed before going back to where they were, waiting for Yue and Brooke to come.

Yue returns with her satchel looking a bit more stuffed. "Alrighty! Almost ready! Bubbles! Dukes! Since you guys are my best fighters, how about a short session of teamwork training or whatever before we head out?" Yue said, feeling pumped. They did indeed have a short training session, but it devolved from teamwork training into just regular training.
(Exp training: Bubbles +5 exp, Dukes +4 exp)

"Come on Stout, they're leaving us behind!" Alex said trying to race after the group. Stout happily took his time walking and taking in the sights. Alex gave up, picked the Turtwig up, and put it on his head. He then tried to catch up to the group.

This road being little traveled by humans, there are plenty of Wild Pokemon to see. None seem aggressive, but all are wary of the strange creatures passing through their territory. If anything, the size of your group is probably enough to deter all but the most desperate of predators, provided you don't stumble upon a "nest/lair" with eggs/newly hatched Pokemon. Thankfully, by following the dirt 'road', you should be able to avoid such situations. Though, this being night time, it can't hurt to be wary. Many predators being to hunt for food around dusk, when their prey is growing weary from the day's events.
With nothing else drawing the party's interest along the way, you continue your journey toward the swamp. After a few hours, you reach a dark, narrow path; fit for no more than 2 people (or 4 small pokemon) to walk abreast. This must be the entrance to the swamp.
