Toadstool saw the 2 of the Corphish attacking one of his master's friend's pokemon. One coming right into his sight, as he reared back shooting a group of seed pits at the water type.

Leaf hunkers down under the assault, battered by the lobster claws but still upright. Brooke lobs a ball underhand at one of the Corphish attacking him, and he takes advantage of the distraction to leech energy from the second.

Stout looks at the other Corphish just inside what he thinks is his range. The little Turtwig once again strains and contorts his face, and the tiny little green orbs come out once again. This time in the direction of the Northern most one.
Stout uses Absorb, this time of Corphish 1.

Leon looked at the last one standing, seeing that it was busy with Leaf, Leon slipped into the pokemon's blind spot as he glared at it, his lip curling as his shadow struck out at the Crawdad pokemon.

A quick jaunt through the previously cleared areas of the swamp leads the group to a small island with a tree on it. From out of said tree comes a swarm of angry, buzzing Pokemon!

Leon threw out Rex, knowing that according to the Poketome Toadstool was weak to the fire dog, he assumed that other bugs might be similar, but to get a better idea about their opponents, Leon checked the Poketome to see if they were listed.

It is indeed listed. Yanma, the Clear Wing Pokemon. Apparently they're extremely fast among common bugs, so caution is recommended in dealing with them.

Hearth gives the Yanma that attacked her a look that says 'Really? Did you seriously just do that?' and then hops into range before using Confuse Ray on the same Yanma.

At the sight of the double team, Alex had to think fast. Seeing Hearth shrug off the hit, Alex said, “Good hit buddy. Let’s tag in Allure.” Alex recalled Squirt out of the bad situation and threw out Allure in his place. The little Litwick stood a better chance than the Wingull in that 2v1 situation.
(Swift action to Recall Squirt, Standard action to throw out Allure in his place.)

Yue runs up to Yanma #4. As her foot touches the ground with her final step, a black circle spreads out from under it, moving across the ground like a ripple on the surface of water before erupting upwards into a sphere of darkness that engulfs Yue and Yanmas #1,#4, and #5.

Leon ran forward gathering some shadow on his fist before striking the Yanma that Squirt attacked.Meanwhile Rex growled gnashing his teeth until they were sparking before running into Yue’s sphere of darkness trying to bite one the Yanma who attacked him.
Leon uses Feint Attack on #2 can’t miss
