Leanne and Toadstool were surprised by the sudden appearance of a new group of Zangoose but decided their best bet was to take down the one accosting them now and then start dealing with the new arrivals. Leanne gave a declaration of "Fairy Lyric" before hitting her signature high note bathing the creature in pink energy as Toadstool took another swipe at the creature invigored by his first strike hitting it.

Finally free for more than a second at a time, Brooke nocks a pair of arrows and takes the time to properly line up a shot. Snug waits a moment, making sure that there isn't another Zangoose lurking in the grass to pounce on his master the instant his back in turn, then turns around and moves back into the fight Brooke uses Aiming Down the Sights and Double Shot, aiming at #2:

After a long, drawn out battle, the party is finally victorious. A large group of unconscious Zangoose now lie scattered about the field. It was a difficult fight, especially once the larger, scarred Zangoose arrived. This bigger Zangoose was obviously the leader as it quickly began directing the others to focus fire on major threats. Brooke and her bow, the Lickitung, that sort of thing. Leanne was seen as a weak link, so she was taken out early. Yue barely registered as a threat at all, but Brooke and her Lickitung were hounded the entire time. It was all she could do to avoid being surrounded. Eventually, however, the party managed to out last them, though it was a close thing.
The party gains 206 Poke XP and 1 Misc XP for winning the fight.
