Alex takes Squirt aside before the fight. "Okay listen buddy. This is a fight, and we need to see how this goes. Do your best out there. One thing before we start though. No full power Water Guns. We aren't trying to hurt Bubbles, just KO her. This isn't a fight for our lives thing like we've been in before. Got it?" Squirt nods. Looks like he's ready to go. Alex turns to Yue and says, "Alright Yue, are you and Bubbles ready to go?"

Bubbles steps up to battle, pumped and full of energy. "Ready when you are, Alex-nii-chan! How do you wanna do this? Just our Pokemon or...?" Yue trails off, resting her hand on the hilt of the sword strapped horizontally to the back of her waist.

Alex eyes Witch Bane again and remembers just how outclasses he really is. He doesn't even own a weapon. He will have to ask about one tomorrow, and maybe start looking for a trainer for it as well. He says, "How about we let them fight it out a bit tonight. I can't patch up anyone if you guys split me in two. I'd prefer not to spend my first night in the infirmary" He says with a bit of hesitation in his voice. He adds, "Besides, I wanna see how well you can command Bubbles as well as get a feel for how you think in battle. I can't do that running away from both of you."
With that out of the way, Alex shouts at Squirt, "Hear that buddy. No soaking Yue. Just you and Bubbles. Start off flying up and picking up some speed. Agility."
Squirt's new speed is 28 and raises speed evasion to 5.

"Alright, Bubbles, let's start off on the offensive! Confusion!" Bubbles cries on affirmatively as her front horn begins to glow red, a red bolt of energy shooting out a moment later.

He took out his new PokeTome he received from Miss Genevieve and looked up the Ralts. He thought for a second and said, "A confusion attack huh, we can do that can't we Squirt. Supersonic!"

"Grrr...You wanna play that way? Fine then! Bubbles, use Double Team! Yue shouts, getting a nod from Bubbles. Bubbles seems to split into four, with all four of her sticking their tongues out at Squirt.

Alex grins and says, "That's not gonna work Yue. Squirt has a good eye when it comes to details. That's the reason I have him. Squirt, hit the real one with a Water Gun!" Squirt looked at the four images, and quickly found the one casting a larger shadow than the others. He took aim and let a torrent of water erupt from his beak.

"Bubbles! Teleport!" Yue cries out as the stream of water head for the small Pokemon. All four of the Bubbles disappear with a popping sound, and reappaer in a safe space with a second popping sound.

In response, all of the Bubbles' front horns glow, making it difficult to tell where the attack is coming from. A bolt of energy comes out of one of their horns, with the clone that fired it disappearing as a result.

“Squirt! Easy! Don’t hurt her. Pull your punches a bit. Yue is Bubbles okay to continue? Squirt, try to go even faster. Let Bubbles at least work on accuracy a little.” Alex said after seeing the hit. He hoped that wouldn’t leave a scar. He had some work to do after the match to patch Bubbles up.
Squirt uses Agility. Speed is 36. Speed evasion caps out at 6.

“Oh Bubbles. I’m sorry. That one looked like it hurt too. Squirt, I told you all that lugging equipment around was for something. Look at those wings! Hard as rocks!” He said beaming at the bird. Turning back to Yue he said, “If you’ll let me, I’ll look after Bubbles for the night. At least I can get her back to tip top shape. We’ll try some accuracy training in the morning. Both of these guys look like they’ll benefit from it.” He then adds, meekly, “Next time I won’t hold you to a handicap either.” As he finishes the statement, he nudges Yue in the ribs, just slightly above Witch Bane. “You’ll have to go easy on me though. I haven’t actually fought with anyone armed before.”
As long as Yue let’s him, Alex bandages up Bubbles while she lays in Yue’s arms. After he’s done he says, “All finished. Let’s go find those other two.”
