"Yeah!" Stag echoed brightly, and the pair made their way. As they picked their way along, she pointed out landmarks she recognized. Destroyed rocks, marred trees, craters in the soil, now grass and scrub filled divote amidst the trees. "This is the absolute edge of our range, it's also getting close to the route north of Goldenrod. The Siege of The Steel Bombug happened here. Turns out when a regular bomb bug evolves, it gains an armor coat that makes it hard for even the fiercest attacker to break. They're wily, too... Laying traps, stones, and webs everywhere."
Stag considered the lip of the sizeable crater. "It became a war of attrition, and when we finally cornered it, it fought to the last. We pass its story on when speaking of tenacity against overwhelming odds. The power of the many against the sole strong. Though... We never considered what it cost us in the long run.". She frowned. "So many losses for a territory we didn't use, just to call it ours."

Stag did have an attentive companion in Terra, as she observed the landmarks and any information that she had to give. Then there was a small silence as she takes in the divot before them. Eyes moving to look at Stag as she began to explain the difference between the bombbug and its evolution. That was impressive, to become that defensive. She would've grown the same way at some point as a pokemon.
There is an expression of contemplation that comes to Terra's face at the tale of the steel bombbug, before returning her gaze to the scar in the land that was healing in its own way. "Territory... not used is indeed a shame. Especially with great losses to get it," she comments in a slow manner, an arm crossing her middle in thought over it, before adding after a minute. "Maybe after the Hive moves to a new home. Something can make use of this in the future."

"I always thought it would make a fine nest. It's low, and well hidden from the outside.". Stag agreed, moving to the edge and looking down into the ferns and other floor plants that populated the spot.
"Humans do it too, just not in the same way.". The girl made a face. "Jockeying for favor and position in their battle-league. Determining heirarchy by wealth or social deftness. Then when they have it, they don't do anything with it.". She considered Pierce for a long moment, on her shoulder.
"Getting comfortable makes you soft. The Hive would have never gotten so big if they were in a place that challenged it. Maybe what they need isn't a safe or easy way.". Her brow furrowed. "The hard way costs lives. Only promotes happiness in times of peace. Makes harder Pokemon of the survivors."

The difference in what they would consider a good nest was an interesting thought as she looked between them and the divet.
"A lot of humans are like that, I can agree with that," Terra says with a nod. "There are some exceptions here and there of course," she adds. Thinking about Chuck, while he definitely had a lot that gave him perks, he also did things that didn't always benefit him.
"That... could be a good point," she mutters thinking it over. "A place where things aren't always calm." She shifts her attention away from the scarred area. Taking some time to mull over her thoughts and then speaking again. "Maybe we could find something like that. After all. You said that Pierce is suppose to help find it. I don't remember you saying that they said it had to be completely isolated or overly safe. Right?"

"They didn't say anything like that no, but I think it would stick in their craw real good to tell them they've lost their sting. Back in our hayday humans wouldn't set foot in our territory without coming away with horror stories of being chased by Beedrill for miles.". She smirked. "Let's go off into the deep woods and find a rough spot. Make it ours.". She beamed. "Pierce might be short a couple stingers yet, but my horns have never failed me."
Slapping her fists together, the girl was ready and eager, attention set on the woods on the opposite side of the route.

Based on what she knew from knowing Stag and the others in the short time, that sounded like it fit the Hive pretty well. The way that the other smirked had Terra grinning a bit as well. Glad to see her spirits being rekindled considering the circumstances. "Sounds like a solid, and fun, plan to me."
"This is your area, I'll follow your lead," Terra told her with an eagerness in her tone to match. Time wasn't wasted as she fell into step with Stag. "I'm sure Pierce will appreciate the experience, yeah?" she comments glancing to the Weedle as they moved.

Pierce gave Terra a beady-eyed stare that revealed little to no comprehension.
The day wore on with the pair travelling east. They caught glimpses of a tall mountain through the odd hole in the canopy and used it as their guide. Sometime nearing lunch, the screech of pig-monkeys caught the ear, coupled with the whoops of larger creature and the low rumble of thunder though it seemed to come from the forest floor itself.
Stag squared up, muscles tight and prepared for a combat. A gray and white apelike creature with a star on its forehead, wearing a purple shawl stepped into the clearing, flanked by two pigmonkeys. The thunder stopped. Movement beyond the bushes revealed a still larger ape, in browns and greens indtead.
"Ooh. Ooh! Ooru.". The shawled Pokemon declared.

It was a welcomed change from her previous few days. It didn't feel nearly as hectic or dire. The walking underneath the canopy. She kept up pretty easily with Stag's path. Mostly traveling in a comfortable silence, unless she saw something to comment on. A couple of times pointing out a tree with a sharp twist in its trunk, or a rock that had a decent chunk taken out of it.
Once the cries reached her ears, Terra stopped as well. One hand holding firmly to her hammer, the other staying close to her belt in case she needed a pokemon as backup. She would count the pokemon that she could see before them. Looks to be four, at least for now. The shawl had her a little surprised. "What do you think?" she asked Stag. A moment being given between them to see what the monkey pokemon would do. She didn't make the first move, however she did keep her posture showing she was ready for combat.

"Never seen these before. I'm good to throw horns if you are.". Stag grinned, and pulled herself into a tight flex, showing off incredible muscle definition, her bulk drawing her clothing tight.
The two pig-monkey stamp and fume, the shawled Pokemon taking on a flat expression. Behind them, a steady drumming sent motes of green washing up from thickening undergrowth and soft soil. (Stag uses Bulk Up, both Primeapes Work Up, Oranguru Calm Mind, and Rillaboom Grassy Terrain)

"I'm good for a throw down," Terra replies with a nod. She then lets go of the hammer to stretch her arms in preparation. A determined expression coming to her face as she watches the four pokemon while they all do their own preparations for the battle. The growth of greenery was surprising to see under their feet. Afterwards she would then begin to size up the others to figure out who should gain her focus of attacks. "Lets do this," she states with an excited tone. Hand grabbing a ball and riding it out. The red beam releases the draconic Pokemon once more. Queen take in the sight before her then gives a challenging beat of her wings once. Gathering her strength for the upcoming battle. Terra starts the encounter off with a Focused Energy. Crit Range increased by +2. Set to 18+
And with a speed of 10, I doubt that she's really going to be faster than anyone lol. Queen uses Dragon Dance. Attack and Speed +1 CS. Makes her speed 20 now

The Primeapes charge, scratching and screeching, one for Queen and the other at Stag. The girl squats, poised while it comes, slamming her arms around it like a steel trap before pounding it onto her knee and tossing it aside. (Stag takes 67 Normal Physical before defenses, activates Counter in response, and KOs one of the Primeapes. Queen takes 37 Normal Physical before defenses.)
Oranguru waves it's fan, but beyond a strange feeling of weightyness accomplishes nothing. Rillaboom skates along the terrain and rams into Terra (37 Grass Physical before defenses).
Pierce fires a small pink spike from its horn into Rillaboom, the Pokemon seems not to notice.

Queen shows no hesitation at taking the Primeape's attack head on. In fact she hardly reacts, before shifting her weight to slam her tail into the opponent. A snort leaving her nostrils as she does so. Give it a quick wham to show it a good strike! Terra takes the hit fairly well all things considering. There is a breath of surprise that escapes her lips before she grabs a hold of the Pokemon and gives a hefty lift before using the momentum to toss it into the dirt. Putting a little distance between them. While she rights herself, a focus is put into the ground and the Rillaboom sinks some into the soil trapping it some. "Not bad.. Decent hitters." She comments while shaking it off.Poison Tail 14 vs 2 ac Poison physical 51

The Primeape scurried up to Queen once more, but can't seem to connect with the dragon's impressive speed. Oranguru approached and issues a command, he and the Primeape renewing their assault in concert. (28 and 38 Physical Dark to Queen), Rillaboom hammers on its drums, lashing Terra with roots for 36 Grass Physical and -1 Speed Stage.)
(Everyone gains a tick of Hp, Rillaboom loses a tick to poison.)
"This is great!". Stag raised both arms and brought them down in a chopping motion at the sage ape only to have the creature backstep out of reach. It took a tiny stinger for it's troubles.

The Nidoqueen gives out an annoyed growl as she raises her arms to defend against the double team effort that was brought upon by the others. This time she turns her head towards the fan wielding ape. Fangs glowing sickly as she goes in for a snap! An attempt to punish them for the attack. The roots cause Terra to produce a hiss at the sting it produced, leaving a mark along the places struck. Though it didn't deter her spirits. Stag's own enthused yell had her raring to keep going. "You're a natural," she compliments the other between their blows. This time she throws her first forward with her own 'haa!' Queen Poison Fang 5 vs 2AC 52 Physical Poison Activates Regal Challenge against Oranguru. Ask the target if they will show deference or defiance. If they choose Deference, the target loses their next Shift action and loses 3 CS in the Stat of the user’s choice. If they choose Defiance, the user gains a +10 Bonus to all Damage Rolls for the rest of the Scene.

Rillaboom whips at Pierce with the roots of his drum, not feeling better at all even with the grassy terrain, but the little bug endures the hit. Oranguru grunts and gestures, bringing Rillaboom to bear a second time on Queen. Primeape moves to strike Terra, but Stag intercepts and hurls the pig monkey into a tree where it lays still. Another pink stinger shatters against Rillaboom.
(40 Grass Physical to Queen before defenses. Oranguru chooses deference. Primeape number two is down.)

"Thanks for that!" Terra shows a gratitude in her voice with a smile to Stag for the cover, before switching to a more supportive role for her pokemon. Readjusting herself. "Let's turn it up for this drummer!" she tells her pokemon. It seems that the attack to Queen barely registers, before she opens her maw wide. A blue flame forming in the back of her throat before giving the Rillaboom a face full of intense Dragon Breath. "Now follow it up!" The girl commanded. Queen then gives a sharp turn to thrust her tail forward at the Gorilla. Terra uses Commander's Voice. Focused Command/Strike Again!

The great ape raises its thick arms to defend itself, but the cascade of draconic fire and savage followup is too much for its poison weakened body. It goes down in a heap. The Oranguru, thoroughly cowed by Queen, raises its hands and lowers its head, taking a step or two back and huddling up to make itself look small in defeat.
(Enjoy an additional four ticks of healing from Grassy Terrain).
Pierce hops down from Stag's shoulder, and tethers himself to a high branch. Spinning lazily, the worm wraps itself in silk threads, glowing until the light throws itself free and a shiny, tawny colored cocoon with dark, sharp eyes looks about.
"That's right buddy... That's the only way you can look after anything is to get stronger.". Stag seems pumped. "I have a good feeling about that mountain we are coming up on.". She tells Terra. "Feels special somehow!"

There is a moment as Queen considers the surrender from the Oranguru, eyes watching it intensely. Then she turns from it, allowing it to be spared from her attack. Wings giving a couple of flaps as she feels the terrain rejuvenate her.
This evolution, has an interesting expression come to Terra's face, different but certainly memorable. At Stag's words, she looks towards the mountain once more. That made her more determined for them to reach the destination. "Special? Then we have to check it out for sure," she replies looking to Queen before adding "Right?" Which got a nod from the Nidoqueen. Her pokemon could understand feeling that way. Very well. "How're you feeling? You took a couple of strong looking hits it looked like," Terra asked Stag, just to check.

"Honestly not as bad as I expected to. Whatever the big ape did, did me a solid.". She thumped her shoulder with the opposite arm and visibly winced. "Maybe some bruising yet. Nothiny I can't walk off. You good? I was sure they had it out for you." She looks over Terra with a grin.
"Nah, you're solid still."

A satisfied nod of her head hearing Stag's response. "Good. I'm alright too," she states, giving a light pat over her arms where she had been struck. Overall she couldn't complain at all about how the result of the fight went!
Letting Queen stay out of her ball for a little bit longer to relax, Terra looks over to Pierce. "So, how well does he get around now?" she asks with a genuine curiosity. "I guess he has web right?" She wasn't too sure how mobile the bug pokemon was now.
