Stag settles crosslegged in the dried leaves after a small wave from the vespiquen. "We've been given permission to sit. She wants to hear our story."
The next half hour was given to Stag explaining where their people had been disappearing to. How she had been told they were being empowered and set free, then explaining the horrific truths of Magma's process and her return to them. The forest was alive with sound, it came in waves.
A sharp gesture from 'Ambrosia III' and the chittering died out. She spoke to Stag's father at length, he shot the girl a sharp stare in turn.
"They are talking about punishment.". The big girl's face drew into a frown. "For letting the humans take from the hive and reduce our numbers like they did. Dad wants me to kill Maxie. Mom thinks that would make it worse, and would rather I find them a new home."

At this, Terra joins Stag's side, hands resting on her legs firmly. This gave her time to also listen to how the experience had been for the other. A lot to take in, different than how her own went.
The buzz throughout the pokemon had a slight ache form in her head until it was silenced. She watched the two even if she didn't understand the words, the 'tones' were a little less difficult to figure out.
While listening to the translation, Terra moves her arms to cross across her chest in thought. "Well, we both already agreed that Maxie needs to pay in some way for what he did to everyone..." She muses watching Stag with a firm expression. After a little bit following up with a question. "That could work on moving away for the future, how do you and the others feel about searching for a new home for them?"

"Strange, but willing.". Stag answered shortly, not looking away from the body language of the two insects clearly in charge. "We aren't really a part of their world anymore. The family I had, I'm an outsider to now. They listen but watch me as though I might steal their eggs or burn their nest."
She sat upright stiffly, and frowned, her stare boring holes into the weeds around them. "Outsider. That is the word for it.". Her posture was tense, neck to thighs, and she said nothing more, fixated on that idea. Chewing on it.

There would be changing between the ones in charge and Stag as she spoke her realization. A conflicted twist at the corner of her mouth as she tried to process and decide on how to act in this. It was so far than what she knew.
There is a weighty silence that settles around them when Stag's mind is busy. Terra watches the stance, before finally breaking the silence. "Okay then..." Her voice holds a certainty in it. "We'll some of what they both want," she tells Stag.
"Find them a place that Magma doesn't know as well first. Then after, we can figure out what to do when we see him again," she states. She still needed a little more thought on how to address the other's new 'Outsider' status. Giving them a task to focus on can do that, right? Just enough time to try and wrap her own brain around it more properly.

"Yeah... Yeah okay...". Stag seemed to latch onto that idea. We can go crashing through thickets and beating up problems till we find a good spot. There's forests south and east of Goldenrod, but there's bomb bugs, and smaller hives... Exiles. The main woods are heavily trafficked but maybe we could find a spot off in the deep wilderness."
The Pinsir stepped forward and began speaking, staring straight ahead as though looking through the girl he was addressing. When he finished, a lone grub, yellow with pink feet, and a long horn squirmed up under the webbing and presented itself to her, rolling clumsily the last few feet. Stag's face was a stoic mask. The Pinsir gave a dismissive wave, and the procession as a whole began to disappear into the forest behind their Queen.

Better than she had anticipated. It'll do for now, focus on the task. Terra listens intently to the explanation of the surrounding options. Exiles, probably not best. Bomb Bugs? That could present problems for territory hunting..
She waited for the Pinsir to finish whatever he was saying. Her attention moving to the new little pokemon showing itself to them. The rolling wasn't the most impressive first thing to happen. It wasn't until the procession of Hive members left them, that she spoke up. "And who is this?" she questioned Stag curiously, motioning to the grub a little. "A judge? An observer?"

"My protector, and our guide apparently. I'm to ensure nothing happens to him, and he is to pick out our new home." Stag makes a face where the little grub can't see. "It was to send a message that I am less then the least of our people to my father now. Stag holds out a hand for the Weedle to climb up onto and rises, staring after the retreating light, her eyes glittering in the returning dark. "Fuck."
There was a long sigh, Stag barely an outline in what little moonlight there was.
"Thanks for humoring me Terra. I know this wasn't your thing."

She had guessed about the guide part, the rest though had her grimace a little at her words. Now, the disrespect and insult, that sort of thing she could wrap her head around.
It took a while once the darkness settled in for Terra to just make out Stag's form in the dark. When she heard the thanks, she did blink once, caught off guard.
"...Don't mention it. It might not be my thing. But its the least I could do," she states giving a slight smile, doing her best not to dismiss the appreciation. It all made sense to have come with Stag, at least to her anyway.
"Do we start tonight? Or wait til tomorrow?" she asks for the other's preference.

A pause. Terra notes Stag moving the hand with the Weedle in it near her ear, before she slouches again. "Asleep already, may as well find a spot and call it a night. My night vision is garbage, how do humans deal with this?". There is a bit of fumbling in the dark, the large-bodied stag knocking into Terra blindly.

"I know right? Its pretty pathetic," Terra agrees about the lack of vision in the dark. Her sight wasn't reliable, however the feeling through the ground did allow her to have a sense of what was happening. It couldn't however help her avoid the other once she moved. "Wait, hold on-" Terra tried to warn her about the closeness. Before giving a grunt at the loss of her footing and landing on her back. A moment passes before she opens her eyes again and looking up at Stag. Acro-BAD-ics Result: 2

Stag, throwing an arm wide to keep her small charge from being crushed only manages to brace with a single arm, which isn't enough. There's an awkward tangle of limbs, and a look of genuine embarrassment on the girl's face as she locks eyes with Terra, closer than the two have ever been before even wrestling. There is a stunned pause, before she rolls of of the smaller girl with a grunted apology.
"Maybe this is fine till dawn.". She stated from somewhere to Terra's right.

Needless to say there is a long silence between the two. This was way, WAY closer than she had ever been 'comfortable' with someone. That is to say, not very comfortable.
One hand still holding onto Stag for a while. Before letting go swiftly. Brain processing what had happened, she couldn't help but look directly at Stag's face until the taller moved with wide eyes. It took a few seconds for her voice to be found. "Y-yeah... Okay, that sounds, yeah good," Terra replies as she tries to sort her thoughts as they came back quickly. Just staying on her back, staring up at the tree tops and sky.
"I think this is the first time I'm sleeping outside like this," she commented, giving them both a different thing to think on for a short moment.

"Its weird.". Stag agreed with a dry laugh. "Finally makes sense why everything glows in Goldenrod at night.". She trailed off into a long pause.
"So... You really never had anybody? No one to watch your back, learn or take orders from, no structure?". She broached, watching Terra's faint outline in the dark. "Be one of the worst things I could imagine right now."

The silence sits between the two, as Terra watches the sky above.
When she hears the question, her brows furrow in thought. Hand resting against her chin as she worked her brain. "I mean... As far as I can really remember, its been just me," she answers. Though after a short pause she speaks again. "But... maybe before I can remember there was my mother? I ended up running into her not too long ago. At least I'm pretty certain it was her," Terra explains. Arms moving to cross over her stomach to rest them.
"I never really thought about needing guidance, or more than myself before changing," she comments with a small shrug while glancing over to the other in the dark.

"Not needing anyone..." Stag scoffed softly and rolled to face away from Terra. "That would be nice right now.". Her big shoulders heaved in a shrug. "I'll show them though. There are no weak links in a strong chain. If this grub, and this duty are meant to mock and demean me, they'll all be sorely disappointed."
Despite the severity of her tone, Terra could make out the way her shoulders sagged with the telling. She was silent afterwards, until sleep took them both.
The next morning saw the pair sore and damp. Stag's long bangs, normally styled up, were a mess and made it hard for her to see. She settled for sweeping them back, and considered the Weedle in the morning sun. It was unremarkable in all ways.
"So I guess this is the part where you teach me how to train a partner?". She asked, voice hoarse till she cleared her throat properly.

Stag's response doesn't get any more words from Terra as she rolls to face the other direction. The words and slumped shoulders stuck with her thoughts until she fell asleep.
This, felt gross. There was a definite dislike of waking like this. If they had to sleep out here again, they would have to find something better than just on the ground. The girl trying to wipe some of the moisture off of her arms and legs.
"Yeah, it's a smart idea," Terra tells her after giving up on her efforts of being less damp. Pokeballs being pulled one at a time. "I think... starting with Queen will be a good example. She was the first pokemon I ended up with, she can be the focus today," she explains.
A moment passes before Terra is expanding and opening the pokeball. Large beam of light forming into the draconic form that was the Nidoqueen. Wings stretching out before folding back to a relaxed state. The pokemon's eyes were calm but striking as she looked at the two trainers examining the scenario.
"Hey Queen, ready for some training?" Terra asked the dragon, giving her partner a good scratching along the scales. "It's gonna be different for everyone and pokemon, but you just... kinda feel it out, you know?" she adds looking back to Stag. She also releases the rest of the team that she brought with her, to train and get ready for the day.
Terra had the focus on Queen's training. Instructing the pokemon on attacks and maneuvers as well as joining in the stretches and practice of physical attacks. There was also a fair amount of time spent on the dragon's flying methods. It was a good work out for sure and helped make her forget about waking up wet.

Before too long, Stag was getting into the exercise portion of the training. Morning dew gave way to sweat, and frustrations were eased by the physical activity. The Weedle was put through it's paces making horn scratches on bark, then punctures. By the end of it the little bug was a bit scuffed but no worse for wear. Stag seemed in better spirits too.
"Been awhile since I last went through the paces. Not since the last time Shiv took offense.". She laughed breathlessly. "She's impressive, this 'Queen' of yours. You say she was your first?"

After all the training, Terra wipes away some of the sweat from her brow with a small grin from the change in the general feeling. The party of pokemon taking a break afterwards. Relaxing and resting before they would return to their pokeballs for the time being.
"Not bad," she states in a satisficed tone towards the Weedle, then looking to Stag at her own comment. "Definitely a good way to clear the head before starting the day," Terra adds.
"Yeah. When I left, they had a few different pokemon that I could have chose from. But they didn't really feel right?" she explains. "So I ended up kinda searching around. Found her after some time. I can't really say what it was exactly... But something told me that I wanted her to travel with me. It took some work before we understood each other."

"It's in her eyes, I can see it too. That challenging look.". She snapped her fingers loudly. "Spirit! Fighting to live, living to fight! I get that! Come here little Pierce.". She scooted the bug into her palm, then gave it a spot to ride on her shoulder.
"You ready to go looking for places humans don't go?". She grinned toothily and slapped her fist into her opposite palm. "I'm fired up and ready to put some distance between us and this shit hole." There was a pause as though she might say more, but she shook the notion off.
(Intuition if you please.)

After Pierce is settled upon Stag's shoulder, Terra pulls her bag up onto her shoulder proper. "Let's get to it. I'm sure we'll find something interesting today," she states with a certainty in the nod she gives at seeing the motion of her hands.
The pause did catch her attention, watching her companion for a few seconds, giving a chance for her to continue. Though when nothing else follows the other's words, she takes a few steps forward to stand by her. For now leaving it be. "Into the wild we go, yeah?" she tells the taller with a firm clap to her back in an encouraging manner. Terra would walk by Stag's side now, she didn't have to follow behind the other. Stag had a better knowledge of the area, Terra's senses were taking in the new environment.
