"Hear that, Caliber? You might get to make a new friend!" Rinka smiled at the thought of making anther friend like his Ralts, and Caliber seemed just as enthusiastic. "Splitting up is probably the best idea for now, so we can all practice our own skills."After speaking, Rinka began to breath, slowly and steadily, as he tuned himself to the auras around him. While he didn't think he could find any specific pokemon, he hoped he could at least find one quicker, rather than blindly wandering about. With that, he began walking in a direction he had a good feeling about. Looking for psychics, fighting types, or anything that looks medieval. Though Rinka would be more than happy with anything that is special attack based. DSMcO2Rp2d6 2d6

Bryant allowed himself to be mildly annoyed for about a second. They could've told him before he left his glaive in his room, couldn't they? He decided he'd buy a nice dagger and be done with being unarmed. Tossing his arm in a sideways manner he unlocked his magic and green streaks of power coursed through the length of his arm before fusing at the palm of his hand. His summoning gate materialized and out came Alessia elegantly before taking place besides her partner. Bryant took a cursory glance around. "I'm sure we'll be fine. They would't just toss us in unprepared against something we aren't ready to deal with. Still, be cautious guys" he said before choosing a direction to head off towards."If anyone wants to come with me, feel free to. It'd be nice to have some hunting partners now that my usual ain't around" he said with a smirk before slowly walking in a direction.
Looking pretty haphazardly for anything that catches his eye with some emphasis towards the top of the wishlist and plant/bug types

Quill's portal took some time finding Angel. Perhaps she had purposefully phased herself into a wall, perhaps she was merely exploring but for a while Quill's portal shimmered. He realized his call was eventually answered when Angel's stocky, wooden head crashed into his own. Quill jolted for a second and tapped the top of Angel's stump in retaliation. He snickered as she made faces but suddenly jolted away from his roughhousing to see the others heading away. Feeling a bit embarrassed he hadn't been paying attention Quill quickly made a decision and latched onto Bryant, jogging over to the older boy. "Is it alright if we stick around?" Quill says motioning over to his ghostly partner. Looking for ghosts (ghastly in particular) but if they aren't available Quill can take whatever RzAoUVSy2d6 2d6

Obvious Pokémon: Combee Magikarp Pidgey Weedle Sewaddle
Sawyl: You search for some sort of Fairy Type or large Pokémon. You look intensely for any sort of Pokémon that might add power to your team. You finally find a large shadow projecting onto a leaf. It looks like some sort of Pokémon that's never been seen. You peer around the leaf carefully. You see a Magikarp. One fin is smaller than normal and it's flopping in a puddle that's a little ways away from a reservoir.
Egon: You look for barely a few seconds and see exactly what you were looking for. A Turtwig is clearly visible beyond the bushes, stumbling around and crying out. It's obviously fairly young.
Rinka: Your aura picks up on a faint signal. You look through the bushes, using your aura to pick up on the signal. You can see there is a baby Abra sleeping nearby.
Bryant: You stroll through the forest for a little bit before spotting something that may be useful. An Elekid is picking on a smaller Shuppet, using it's sparks of electricity to scare it.
Quill: You catch up to Bryant and spot the Shuppet and Elekid as well.
Aviss and Elizabeth go and look for Pokémon together on the other side of the garden.

Ooh, Combees! Combees were pretty useful critters, their honey had plenty of uses and one would definitely have been a worthwhile addition to.. wait, was that a Sewaddle? He had always wanted one of those, although they were a pokémon that shone the brightest before a fight and not during it. Egon had very obviously ignored his own suggestion upon sighting the first pokémon, distracted by the varied life in the garden, and step after step he had separated himself from the group without even noticing how far he was getting.. and that was when he spotted it: exactly what he had in mind when he started this search. Well, maybe not exactly what what he thought: his dream Turtwig was tougher and stronger-looking that the young specimen here, but it was still a pretty huge stroke of good luck. Cursing his lack of preparation and of delicious berries to lure it closer, he decided to just approach, low on his knees to look small and non-threatening and with one hand towards the Turtwig, palm turned upside.

"That's....an Abra!" Rinka had seen an Abra or two before, but they were prone to teleporting away when approached. If he was going to catch this pokemon, he'd need to ensure that it remained calm and friendly. Waking it up directly would likely be detrimental to that, so... "Alright, time to put my abilities to the test...." Rinka focuses all of his energy into his aura, becoming attuned to Abra's, and attempts to transmit thoughts of friendship to the Pokemon while it sleeps. Perhaps he could resolve this without much conflict. Spend 2 AP as a swift action to use Aura Reader feature, granting the Aura Reader and Aura Pulse capabilities for the scene.

Quill was happy the assignment had them hunting in the gardens. It was a very pleasant area, with equally pleasant pokemon. The buzzing of the Combees was new but rather pleasant, and even Angel didn't mind the presence of other creatures. These creatures seemed a lot more docile than those surrounding the cities, or perhaps he was just biased because of stories his older brothers would tell him. Quill was just about to inquire about Bryant's family when the sound of sparks distracted him. Seeing the ghost, Quill was immediately drawn to the situation. He walked briskly over to the two pokemon with his left hand outstretched, mumbling under his breath. "Hey now, that's just about enough out of you." Quill said as he finished incantation. Hopefully this feisty beast would be easy to cast asleep. Quill uses Hypnosis XW_wELC21d20 1d20

Bryant saw the spell knock the Elekid asleep and let go of the energy he was readying to knock it out with an attack.
"Quill, go calm that Shuppet down. I'm sure you know more about ghost-types than I do. I'm going to have a talk with out troublemaker here" he said thumbing to the sleeping Elekid.
He walked towards it and sat cross-legged in front of it with Alessia standing behind it. He was close enough that he could grab it if anything went wrong.
He tapped the electric-type's forehead hard twice
"Ey, you. Time to rise" he said sternly

Sawyl's face fell. A Magikarp. A crippled Magikarp. Well, that was a letdown. What was he supposed to do with that? It was an easy capture, sure, but how much was it actually going to help? On the other hand... maybe he could still train it up. Surely the son of the Pirate King of the Eastern Sea could do it if anyone could - and a Gyarados would definitely be a powerhouse for the team. Besides, surely no one would expect a one-finned Magikarp to kick their backsides... it was certainly suitably dramatic, if only he could baby it along to get it there. Sawyl was never the most patient person, but a Gyarados might be worth the wait. "Perhaps it's the child of the Dragon King of the Rivers, exiled for its deformity." Yes, Sawyl was making up a backstory for it. Out loud. Before he'd caught it. "And with royal blood in its veins, it has amazing potential despite its disability, if only the right trainer could bring it out..."He looks at it thoughtfully for a moment, glancing from the puddle to the reservoir, then approached and crouched down to address the poor Pokémon. "You look like you could use a little help. Are you trying to get to the water there?" He gestured toward the reservoir and gave it a winning smile. "Would you like a lift?"Charm!: 9fxo|S3j4d6 4d6

Egon: The Turtwig hesitates for only a second before stumbling up and nibbling your fingers. The Turtwig has apparently been crying it's eyes out, as there are the telltale liquid streaks across it's face.
Rinka: You can feel the Abra begin to wake up. It turns to look at you for a second before immediately going back to sleep. You can feel a certain level of serenity coming off of it in waves.
Quill: Your hypnosis spell lands on the Elekid quite easily. The Elekid stops producing electricity and falls over, asleep.
Bryant: The Elekid wakes up and stands, looking around, furious at whoever just knocked it out. It sees you and narrows it's eyes. It hasn't made a move to attack, but from it's body language it's obviously ready to fight.
Sawyl: The Magikarp looks at you, confused. It doesn't hesitate to jump into your arms quite quickly however.

Quill nodded a little sheepishly towards Bryant. He felt a bit drained from the spell, and probably should have waited to see what his partner would do. He mentally chided himself "If I'm gonna be a knight I should look out for that." He approached the Shuppet as calmly as he could. Even though some spirits preferred humans to be anxious around them (thereby making them easier to trick) since the monster was already a bit spooked itself, Quill thought not to provoke it further. Spirits were an odd kind to deal with. He would need to first know what this one was after. He would try to control his emotions to best suit the situation for the Shuppet. "Ugh...." Rinka was conflicted. If he attacked the Abra now, he could catch it by suprise. But it seemed rather harsh to harm such a serene creature. And trying to wake it up forcibly might lead to it being frightened. "Well, this is a problem...Ah!" Rinka suddenly remembered his own pokemon was there with him. "Caliber! Any chance you might be able to wake it up peacefully?" If the pokemon saw a human so close when it wakes up, it might be alarmed, but if it's a similarly sized pokemon, perhaps the results would be better. Worst case scenario, at least Caliber was right in front of it to attack. The Ralts nodded, then skipped over to the sleeping Abra and nudged it lightly, making small noises to wake it up.

Bryant gave the Elekid a threatening glare, his hand lightning up in green energy. A green ball of energy appeared in front of Alessia's open mouth, ready to react to any attack.
"Stay still, will you? Bryant said.

Sawyl wasn't entirely sure how well he got his point across. It seemed like he did well enough, though, since the Magikarp leaped up into his arms. He wasn't quite expecting that, but he managed to recover his dignity after receiving an armful of flopping fish remarkably well.
"Well, all right, then." He turned to carry the Magikarp over toward the reservoir. He was under the vague, fairy-tale logic sort of impression that something good would happen if he helped it. (There were occasions when Sawyl was not quite in touch with reality's lack of a plot.) If nothing else, it might be more inclined to join him if it had a reason to be grateful to him.

Egon reached up to pet the small turtle-like pokémon and gently rub its head "What's wrong?" He continued patting as he spoke to it in a low, non-threatening tone. "Lost your family? Want me to help you search?" He knew the pokémon couldn't actually understand him. Probably. But figured out a calm voice would do wonders to get it in a better mood.

Quill: You know from your knowledge of magic that Shuppets are dolls cursed to walk the earth after their owner forgets about them. This means they are extremely hostile or timid to a fault from the abandonment. You can tell this Shuppet is probably the latter. You say a few gentle words and the Shuppet calms down.
Rinka: When Caliber taps the Abra, it opens it's eyes slowly. You can feel an aura of surprise coming off of it. It obviously isn't used to the straightforward approach. It floats over and gives you a questioning look.
Bryant: You stand your ground against the Elekid and it obviously is a little scared of you. It backs off and gives a look of almost grudging respect.
Sawyl: You carry over and drop the Magikarp into the reservoir. It immediately jumps out when two Carvanha begin swimming in circles around the area you dropped it. The Magikarp gets behind you, shaking.
Egon: The Turtwig accepts the rub gratefully. The Turtwig begins circling and sniffing you out, to make sure you're not dangerous. Once it's done, it begins nuzzling you again. You can't see any other Pokémon of the Turtwig line in the immediate area.

Rinka lets out a sigh of relief. Like he thought, the Abra was surprised when woken up, but at least it hadn't run away. "Sorry to wake you from your slumber, friend!" Rinka kneels down to eye level with the Abra. "My name's Rinka. I'm a knight in training!" He wasn't sure if the Abra could understand him, but he did his best to project a calm, friendly aura to show his point. "I was walking through the area, looking for allies, when I saw you sleeping peacefully. A serene, marvelous pokemon like you would make a wonderful addition to my team, but I didn't want to catch you by surprise. I don't feel that a sneak attack was right to use against such a peaceful pokemon. So..." As Caliber climbs back onto Rinka's shoulder, Rinka holds out his hand, slowly but resolutely, and smiles. "I would be honored if you'd join me in my quest to become a knight!"

Oh, Carvanha. That was a problem, at least from the standpoint of anything else trying to live in that water. Sawyl pulls a face. "Ah. I didn't realize this pool was already occupied. No worries, I shall protect you!"Well, him and Davy. He beckoned the Corphish forward; Davy clacked his pincers menacingly as he scuttled up to confront the Carvanha, glowering at the sharp-toothed fish. Sawyl drew his sword with a flourish, assuming a light-footed stance. "Well, have at you, then! If you want to get to the Magikarp, you'll have to go through us! Stay sharp, Davy!"Sawyl's Initiative: 10 Davy's Initiative: 5
Sawyl activates Flutter (Sawyl gains +3 Evasion until the end of his next turn and can't be flanked) and uses Inspired Training on Davy (+1 Evasion and +2 to Save Checks for the turn). Davy uses Leer on the two Carvanha. AC 2: x1_m2ufI1d20, -1 Defense CS in a Friendly Cone 2. 1d20

"So, want to come with me?" Egon reached for the sides of the Turtwig to lift it up and pull in his arms with a light "Oof": while not impossible to pull up, he always forgot just how dense some pokémon could get. Blissfully ignoring the fights that were starting to break out in other spots of the gardens he proceeded to further explore the nearby surroundings, more to get the Turtwig used to his presence than with effective hopes of finding anything new. After a few minutes of this (assuming the Turtwig didn't try to run for the hills) he decided to try and see if he had guessed correctly, and attempted to summon a portal to 'capture' the friendly pokémon, eyes wandering to the sun to wonder if he had the time to go after a Sewaddle as well or if that would be getting greedy.

Bryant allowed the accumulated energy to dissipate yet Alessia kept her Dragon Rage charged as Bryant directed a confident stare at the Elekid.
"You may be strong, but I'm stronger. I have an offer for you, however. Become my partner and obey my commands and in exchange I'll make sure you become stronger than ever. But cross me..." He went on, grabbing a stone and crushing it in a burst of green energy. He gave a dangerous grin, his elongated canines standing out and sharpening the danger he was exuding at the moment. The prideful and confident smile of a warrior that knows the outcome before the battle even begins seemed to intermingle with the sense of awe and dread that fills the hearts of men the first time they see a rampaging Garchomp. The lighthearted teen from before seemed to vanish and in his place stood the promise of who bryant would become.
Prideful, powerful, cunning, confident and unafraid to act.
"Cross me after I give you this trust and I will crush you. This is your one freebie. Join me or leave and don't return" he finished, opening his summoning portal and laying it there for Elekid to choose.
