Quill's eyes were the size of saucers. Even the simple streets leading up to the castle were magnificent, let alone the castle itself. Jumping out of the carriage he couldn't help but lean back and marvel at the sheer size of his new living quarters. He stopped for a moment, feeling particularly woozy staring at the height of the castle and looked around at his companions.
Quill couldn't help but give an audible, "Wow..." at Sawyl's boast, but felt slightly embarrassed when Bryant corrected him. He giggled, mostly at himself for falling for the jest. Sawyl was a great jokester it seemed.
"This place is gigantic. Even if we do split up to explore, I doubt we'd cover even half of the courtyard." he said wistfully. Despite saying it was impossible, or perhaps because he had, Quill picked a random direction and walked.
Perhaps he would find a secret garden. He hoped he could find something close to a forest so that Angel could feel at ease in the new surroundings. He would have to visit the grounds again at night, letting her adjust when she felt most comfortable.

You all begin to take in the surroundings of the castle. The forestry is dense but thin enough to be able to see clearly inside of it. You can see several crystal clear pools of water, with fish and water Pokémon swimming around inside them. The plants on display are obviously quite well taken care of (there are several gardeners that wave at you) and there are bug Pokémon perched on each plant. There are two fountains in front of you that seem to be made of the same material as the castle. There are berries scattered about and Pokémon stop every once in a while to nip at them. You can see plenty of children being guided around and they give you big smiles. You can see only one sign and it reads, "Capturing Restricted: Pokémon may only be caught and kept with permission from the proprietors. Feel free to train". As you take all of this in, you hear Elizabeth say, "Go ahead without me, I'm catching up on my beauty sleep". You can see so many kinds of Pokémon, even ones you've never even seen in any book. As you look, you hear two growls come from behind you. You turn to see a man with messy black hair and clothes you would normally see on a soldier. The most distinguishable thing about him are the spider web scars on his face. At his side are two Arcanine that are in a pouncing position. "Sit, boys" he says as he waves them away. "You must be the youngsters the Knights chose. Name's Gawain, I'm the captain of the guard around here. Knights sent me to come get you."

Bryant stood up from where he was laying on the grass. His eyes were fixed on the two powerful-looking Arcanine. His family's specialty meant he hadn't spent too much time around fire types, and Arcanine were well known as fast Pokemon and great hunters. He could already tell Gawain meant buisness.
"I'm Bryant. Nice to make your acquaintance. So, where do we go to now?" he said, shooting one last look of longing at the gardens that reminded him so much of the grounds at Eisenwald estate.
He'd definitely need to write Aleera a letter as soon as he got the chance.

"Straight to the point, I like it," Gawain says with a smile. "Just follow me,". He says as he begins to walk into the forest surrounding the castle. As you follow, you can see that the trees are getting denser and denser to the point that you can barely see your surroundings. Gawain is walking fairly quickly, like he knows the place well enough to not worry. As you are quite far in, he suddenly stops and holds his hand up. "We're here," Gawain points towards a set of iron gates built into a nearby cliff face. The gates open and he moves you towards them. "Alright, we're going to just step inside and see what's what,". He motions you inside.

Rinka was lagging a little bit behind as he was marveling at all the beautiful scenery. When he arrived at the gate, he just stared at it. Why was it built into a cliff face? How strange...and awesome! He then turned back towards Gawain. He looked a little rough, but Rinka wasn't one to judge a book by its cover. He realized then that he had forgotten to introduce himself. "Ah, thank you for guiding us, Sir Gawain! My name is Rinka. It's nice to meet you." Rinka and Calibur bow to the man, then proceed through the gates cautiously. Not in fear of danger, but in fear of doing something improper.

Quill felt a knot in his stomach at the sight of the two Arcanine. As they walked through the forest he kept giving them uneasy glances. He was thankful that Gawain seemed to be fully in charge of the large creatures, but Quill couldn't shake his anxiety around them. He tried desperately to think of something else, and the only other thing to think of was the beautiful forest.
The trees were magnificent and most likely very old. He couldn't quite tell if the trees here were the same as the ones back in Pavo, but he felt a bit better drawing that connection. But still, he couldn't help but stare at the Arcanine escorting them. As the surroundings grew denser and the bright sunlight became hidden, Quill debated internally before finally casting a portal.
At first, it seemed as though nothing came out of the portal, but slowly a small figure phased into sight. The Phantump blinked a few times and floated around the unfamiliar trees. Quill stopped for a moment, holding tightly to his book, until Angel gave a delighted shriek and started zipping around the forest. Quill was able to keep his mind off the fire types by focusing all of his attention trying to reign in Angel. He knew that she'd want to go deep in the forest and he had to (almost physically) wrestle with her to get her to comply with the group's momentum. But he was thankful for the distraction and the ease he felt with his friend.
Once they got to the gates' entrance Angel finally calmed down. She made a few disgruntled noises as they approached the door. Quill scratched her stump and gave her a sheepish smile which finally coaxed her inside.
With Angel finally under control, Quill found himself more sociable, "Are the Knights currently in a meeting -ooh- or an adventure? Is that why you were sent to get us, sir?"

Gawain nods at Rinka's introduction. "No need to be so formal, I already know the lot of you," Gawain says. After Quill speaks, Gawain gives him a smirk. "I thought you were fit to faint on the way here. Scared of a little forest? And to your question, they were settling some private business."

Aviss was looking around with curiosity, and it didn't seem like she was paying very much attention. She didn't seem to be startled very much at all by the Arcanine but Merlin voiced his disapproval. She gave him a comforting squeeze and quietly followed behind. She was holding herself confidently, but was remaining quiet for the time being, as if speaking would break her concentration on absorbing all of the sights she was witnessing. There was a warm smile on her face, pigtails bouncing with her steps and the breeze as she carried Merlin like a spoiled stuffed animal.

Egon had remained out of the carriage for a whole of five seconds and was already ready to get lost between the trees. The fact that Gawain had dropped by to round them up had gone completely unnoticed to him until the group had begun to disappear between the trees.
He scampered to follow, only to immediately get distracted (for the second time in less than 10 minutes) by the wondrous flora that surrounded him. When the iron gate opened he was busy running one palm across the trunk of a massive tree and feeling the bark against his fingers.
It was only Micah's pinching of his ankle that brought his attention back to the world surrounding him: he dashed to the soon-to-enter group with a sheepish smile, trying his best to look like he had never remained behind. And failing, obviously.

Sawyl rolled his eyes theatrically when Bryant decided to poke holes in his story. "Really. I didn't realize you'd been there." Never mind that Bryant was absolutely correct that Sawyl hadn't seen anything like Stellarum Castle, or for that matter that Sawyl hadn't spent a whole lot of time under the sea, either. Sawyl didn't know enough water magic to breathe underwater, but there was no need to tell everybody else that.
The Arcanine certainly startled him, but - perhaps surprisingly - his hands didn't go for his sword or start opening a portal when he turned to face them. He hadn't even heard the man with them; obviously when the knights found themselves a captain of the guard, they got someone who knew how to move in the grounds. Sawyl himself tries to keep alert as they venture into the wooded parts around the gate, but it's difficult not to be overawed by the immense, silent trees. Unlike certain members of the party, he's very definitely never been in a forest like this.
Once Quill lets the little Phantump out, Sawyl finds himself feeling a little left out, but pausing to open his own portal would mean dropping back in their little group and Sawyl's the sort of person who doesn't like not being the leader of the pack, even if it means he has to walk fast to keep up. Besides, if they start introducing the rest of their Pokémon, he can give Davy his big entrance then.
He slips in through the gate in the cliff, glancing around to see what's on the inside. He can't help but think of the gate in the cliff, tucked away back in the forest, as a "back door" to the castle, and isn't sure whether to be miffed at not going in the undoubtedly-grand main entrance or pleased at being shown a secret, even if it's obviously an open one. "The castle goes this far down into the rock? It must be loaded with secret passages..."

Bryant walked right behind Gawain and scanned the landscape with his eyes. Alessia walked confidently besides, running ahead every now and then but always returning to stand besides her trainer. Bryant caught himself analyzing the land as his father had taught him to do before a battle. The building was sturdy, with strong fortifications and deeply entrenched into the mountain. The seat of the seven knights definitely looked the part.
"Really hard to siege is what it must be. That is some castle" he whispered.

Gawain states "This castle is ancient. It has so many twists and turns that it would be nearly impossible to remember all of them. Good thing I have a great memory". He stands at the gate and says, "Now, I'm only gonna do this once, so remember the code". Gawain knocks once on the door with the back of his knuckle. "Password?" resounds from the inside. "Grumpig snout". The gate opens slowly, grinding along the side of the stone cliff. "After you," Gawain says as he motions you inside. The Arcanine walk in first, sniffing out the trail. As you walk in, you can see one long marble hallway, with the ceiling held up by pillars. "Knights need to keep some secrets. This is where they talk about major issues of the state in privacy. You will be expected to attend some meetings but others are only privy to the Knights," he says as he suddenly stops. "Shhhhh." Gawain puts a finger up to his lips. He knocks on one side of the stone wall. A compartment opens with a key inside. He takes the key and puts it into a keyhole that it's in the ground. A door opens in the floor. Stairs descend into a well-lit room. Gawain tells his Arcanine to stay put and walks down first, saying "Kids are here". He motions you to come down. You walk into a meeting room composed of the same marble as the hallway. There is a large rectangular oak table in the middle of the room. There are 6 chairs that lead to the head seat at the very back end of the meeting place. And in these seats, you see the Knights themselves. Arthuras, a man that everyone knows what he looks like (tall and muscular, wearing older armor and having brown hair atop his head) stands and says, "Welcome children. We are glad to see that all of you took our invitation to become a Knight. I hope we can train you as the next generation of great leaders of Aina. I would ask that each of you go to your sponsor so we can do proper introductions". The rest of the Knights stand and smile.

"Even then, this is a great deal of secr.." Egon had just finished gathering the courage to talk (barely whisper, really) when Gawain led them to the last room, the content of which forced him to immediately swallow the remaining '..ecy' and mute himself again.
Which only led him to the follow-up problem: how do you even greet the seven greatest people in the realm without making a fool of yourself? In the end he decided to silently follow the instructions given and head towards Vetra, pushing back by a few precious extra seconds that 'I have to introduce myself to Arthuras' moment.
It was, to be honest, a pretty small comfort.

These were the 7 Knights....The people Rinka had looked up to for so long. The people that Rinka dreamed to someday join. And they were right there in front of him. He wasn't even shaking with excitement anymore. He didn't know WHAT he should be feeling. So, he chose to be as polite as he usually was, and bowed to the knights as a whole, before slowly walking towards Elder Kago. he hd met Kago before, but seeing him among the other knights just proved to show how much strength he had, as even among his peers, Kago's presence was incredible. He bowed his head, and Calibur did the same, just as nervously as Rinka. Finally, he mustered up his courage and honor, and spoke. "It is an honor to have been chosen by you to become a knight, Sir Kago. I will not let you d-down!" The last part came out as a bit more of a stutter, but Rinka did his best to contain his various emotions. He was a user of Aura. He had to have control over his own emotions....at least, SOME level of control. He could tell that his pokemon was just as nervous as he was, however, and relaxed, hoping to encourage Calibur to do the same. He finally stood straight and strong, determined to show his best stature to his sponsor, as well as to the other Knights. He had to be on his best behavior, for both his sake and Kago's. He didn't want the others thinking that Kago had made a bad choice after all.

Aviss couldn't keep herself from bouncing in place a bit before bowing to the group of knights as a whole. Her face was consumed by the warm crescent of a bright smile, Merlin's tail wagging a bit as she continued to hold him like a stuffed animal. She then boldly walked up to Ironsheath, giving him a personal bow. "Aviss Shepard reporting for duty! A pelasure to see you again Sir Ironsheath! I'm going to do my best to be great like you all one day! " She grinned out more, her green pigtails behind her as she kept her head held high and confident.

Egon walked to Vetra's side. "You gonna say hi or what?". Vetra gave a small smile to Egon. He puts a hand on Egon's shoulder. "No need to be nervous, you'll do fine," Vetra said.
After Rinka had walked up and bowed to Kago, the old man smiled. "Don't be anxious. You can do me no wrong with your actions. I believe firmly in my choice as my replacement. Just attune to the aura of the people around you," he breathes deeply while saying this, "and breathe". He motions Rinka to his side and he moves there.
As Aviss excitedly bounds to Sir Ironsheath, he chuckles a little. "Kid, just put that energy into training and we'll have no problems. Now get over here and stop embarrassing me,". Aviss moves to his side.

"Y-yes, sir" Egon took a few deep breaths and placed himself next to Vetra, facing the rest of the room with all the courage he could muster. It wasn't much, but it was a start. He stiffened his arms at his sides, eyeing the others present before continuing. "M-my name is Egon". After an initial stutter he seemed to gain the tiny bit of confidence needed to finish the rest of the phrase in one breath. "It's the greatest honor to meet you all, and I look forward to learning.." A barely felt pause punctuated his introduction while he thought of how to continue "..everything."
As laugh-worthy as it might have been, it was also true. He concluded with another bow, only marginally less awkward to the one he offered the others outside.

Bryant fixed his stare at Arturas, the knight who had chosen him. He knew of the man more than he knew the man, really. He had met him before, of course, but nonetheless knowing he had been chosen to eventually replace the de facto leader of the Seve Knights was something he wasn't sure he was ready to deal with.
it was a lot of responsibility.
He still felt like he was walking on air in a way. It seemed so surreal to think that a bunch of teenagers were going to be groomed as replacements for the governing body of Aina. Yet looking around and knowing that yes, they truly were in the dungeons of the Knight's seat of power effectively barging into a meeting made it feel no less like s dream.
He caught himself drifting back to the moment when he had been told of his choosing.
Aunt Imogen had arrived without warning and said she had taken a one-week break from her post as general to be with her family. Nobody bought it, of course. Imogen's entire life was the military, and she wouldn't take a break from it for no reason. Then suddenly she dropped the bomb midway through dinner and announced she would be taking Bryant with her when she returned to the capital because he had been chosen as the successor of one of the Seven Knights. He had a week to prepare his things and said good bye to his family for the foreseeable future... Without knowing when he'd be able to see them again.
Aleera had not taken that well at all. He'd held her as she cried because although she was happy for him she had just been told they were going to be separated for an unknown period of time. For both of them who had grown together and hand no memory of a time where the other wasn't there, being blindsided with this sudden separation was confusing, saddening and all around hard to process.
Nonetheless he buried his melancholy. Now was not the time to second-guess his choices. Walking to Arturas he gave a slight bow.
"Bryant Cadmus Eisenwald, sire. I place my Glaive at your command. I look forward to learning from you" he said formally before breaking into a grin.
"My aunt also told me to tell you that she's still expecting that fruit basket, and that pineapples are her favorite. I'm sure hope you know what she was talking about because I don't understand what that woman means half of the time"

Sawyl swallowed the last of his nerves. If even the jumpy kid could handle this, so could he. But how was he ever going to live up to his own stories if he couldn't face a friendly introduction, really? Even if he was technically still on a sort of probation, and facing the people who decided his fate. No pressure.
He stepped forward and gave a smooth, courtly bow, facing the woman with the blazing, rainbow-colored hair. "My lady Gloria Aurora, my lords and ladies of the Seven Knights... Sawyl Morgan, at your service." He pronounced it "SAO-ehl", turning the "w" almost into another vowel - a quirk of Merrow language. But he certainly didn't introduce himself as "Son of the Pirate King" to them. "It's an honor to have been chosen, of course. I certainly won't let you down."
He was slightly surprised at the casual atmosphere... but of course, the Knights had no reason to be nervous. If they weren't sure of their choices they wouldn't have called them to the castle, right?

Quill chose to ignore Gawain's earlier question as he couldn't figure a polite way to explain his fear of the man's partners. His brows furrowed for only a moment before his cheek was tugged by Angel's cold and wispy hand. He gave her a shrug and patted her stump trying to mumble out "I'm fine," but with half his mouth out of commission it came out as "Arm faorn.
Angel let go and the rest of the walk was mostly in silence except for a few more questions to the head of the guard. Once Quill and his companions reached the Knight's Room he was as star struck as the others. Though he had met Professor Arcanus before, the headmistress was a very elusive sight at the Academy. Still he couldn't help but smile so hard that his cheeks felt tired. Or maybe that was due to Angel's teasing, who knew?
Quill bounded over to his sponsor, "Professor Arcan- er, Lady Arcanus I'm glad to meet you again." Quill paused, basking in the moment before Angel twacked his left shoulder, "Oh yes, right. Would it be possible to have you send this book back to the Academy? I only barely convinced the librarian to loan it to me for the trip."
