Lotus nods empathically to Dean and Haruka's questions before making a hearty laugh at Erica's reaction. "You remind me so much of Oak," she says amid the laughter. "You should have seen how he freaked out when he saw it the first time." She takes a deep breath to calm herself. "No, they did not die. We have analyzed the disappearance multiple times and have concluded it's a teleportative effect," she explains. "Multiple psychics - both human and pokémon - have agreed on that, and the study of residual energy indicates the same. Not only that," she exclaims, clearly getting excited to talk about the research, "the difference in energy level when they do in fact disappear is surprisingly close to the amount released on evolutions!" She is now standing, gesturing in the air as she continues.
"Our current theory is that Tanoby Unown are a form of larval stage," she explains, speaking a bit louder than before, "and when they sufficiently use their powers - not clear if it's about frequency or intensity - they teleport somewhere else and mature to the regular unown you're familiar with." Her hands are now agitated as her voice. "It's completely possible that the nature of the effect that leads to this maturation process is what gives them the variable type of power they will have, but nothing has been proved yet," she concludes with a somewhat sad voice. "And THAT'S why we need help. We need more unowns, we need more effects, we need more data." She concludes with a pleading look on her face.
She then looks at Haruka with a more serious. "It is a cultural thing in Lima, yes. But it's not completely risk-free," she explains, answering one of the young priestesses questions. "I mentioned earlier that Words of Creation are controlled not to be abused, even though I only about the existence of four and none of them creates anything too fancy. But the others are really common. For example, it's a common practice to exchange words with friendly trainers or bet them in battles, especially those called Words of Power, which are words who can empower pokémon," she says. "However, Words of Power and Change aren't problematic since they require a mean and the effects are very limited. The problem is a non-Word," she tells with a graver face.
"I told you not all combinations form Words. So as you may imagine, some people have tried guessing new Words and invoking them, with results usually catastrophic," she tells. "The last time we heard of it was more than a decade ago, but it happened. Nowadays it's a serious offense to do that, as well as providing people with fake Words," her voice has a little of pride as she continues. "We do not take light on that. Even the few criminals we have do not mess with Words anymore, so it's been a safe hobby for most people for a while now. Like I said, it's cultural," she shrugs her shoulders. "Trainers use them, farmers use them, housewives use them... As long as you have the proper Unowns and know the Word, they're useful."

Dean felt a little bit better after the professor's explanation, but he was still a bit hesitant about the entire situation. He thought he'd come here to take a look at the league and study and report on his findings in regards to a subject he actually knows something about. This however, feels more like something out of some ghost movie he isn't particularly fond of. He wished the professor would have been a bit more upfront about the whole situation. Judging from the ton of information thrust upon them in the last minute, researching these creatures and these 'words' was the plan all along.
"I don't really get it professor. You said it was a cultural thing, but how should we know what kind of words of power or creation or whatever there are? Trainers actually use these in trainer battles and that's ok with league rules?"
Deans head starts spinning with all the questions currently running through his mind. He decides to wait with most of them, but one thing he wants to know for sure.
"Where do we come in in this equation. What is it you exactly want us to do?"

Haruka listened to Professor Lotus's explanation and felt the tension she had about the idea of using these words fade away somewhat. "Ah, I see. Well... my reservations have been addressed then. I suppose power is just... power, not inherently good or bad," she thought about what exactly she knew about Unown before speaking. "Unown have been observed to have odd powers, especially in groups, so... perhaps this helps them hone their power so that they might become normal Unown."
Haruka nodded as she made her decision, "Very well... I'll stick to what I said earlier, I don't see why I wouldn't help out with this research. If I'm going to come into contract with this sort of thing, I should learn more about it to see just how safe it is for possible league challengers to utilize." She brought out a notebook where she scribbled down some notes about it so she wouldn't forget later. Each words is five letters... have to be different... lure them onto a surface, then destroy it for the effect... She stopped writing for a moment as she finished drawing a rough chart. "... So, the word you just used, CISOM, does it always do the same thing? Form an Orange Shard like that? I think it'd be useful for me to write down all the effects of the words I come across. Would you mind telling me about the words that you know or... are you expecting me to find them on our travels? Do these words translate into our language at all? Perhaps that might give some insight into their effects. Is there a place like the Ruins of Alph in Lima that Unown gather at? ... Normal Unown, not Tanoby. Perhaps observing that place might give some insight into what exactly happens to characters that vanish..."
Haruka's barrage of questions paused for a moment as Dean said his piece. Haruka flushed and adjusted her glasses, "Ah... I suppose I got caught up in the excitement. You must have already asked those sorts of questions already... I suppose a more important question would be what Dean brought up. Do you expect us to do anything else besides keep an eye out for Tanoby Unown and Words like you mentioned?"

Lotus smiles at Haruka's outbreak of curiosity, appreciating hers and Dean's interest. "Glad to see you're hooked. Well, let me explain it a little more: no Words can be used in the middle of a battle. It's a somewhat delicate ritual, as you've seen," she tells Dean, answering his question. "Words of Power are used in a calmer environment involving trust with your pokémon, and they empower in a manner similar to Technical Machines. They give the pokémon a sliver of unown power, basically the ability to call an effect similar to what pokémon do. Think of it as extra moves and abilities," she tries clarifying it. "things they would be already somewhat capable of doing, but in different ways. So, yes, they are permitted in League battles, just as any other tactical advantage you can train your pokémon to have."She then turns to Haruka, ready to clear her doubts. "Yes, each word always replicate the same effect. Like I said, Words of Creation are incredibly rare and CISOM is only one of three we know of. It roughly translates as 'pride', and it always generates an orange shard. The other two are controlled, so I'm afraid I'm not allowed to discuss them with you." Her face is truly apologetic and then she grabs a few more things from the bag, including a map she opens in front of the trio. "There are a couple of places with important Tanoby ruins and discoveries, but the most important are the Ambalchi Forest and the Jarovesu Desert," she explains, pointing on the map the places she talks about. "These are the two only places where regular unowns have been found so far. Many of the Words we know also came from those place, although a few have been found in other places, like the southern towers," she punctuates her speech with points on the map. "Now, what I ask of you is very simple: report any Words and any other things you may find related to them on your journey. That's all!" she exclaims with a confident smile. "Just so you know, these are really nice places to visit with unique pokémon, but it's completely up to you."She then shows a few small paper scrolls and some slips of papyrus. "Now, if you're interested in learning more about Words, I have something prepared for you." she says, opening one of the scrolls where 4 Tanoby Unowns are. "I saved a few unowns for you, and I can teach you a few basic Words for you to start. This way you can trade them like trainers here do and start getting the hang of things," she says with a mischievous smile. "And in the future, you'll definitely learn more of them. Does this sound acceptable?" she asks looking at the three trainer present, although her stare lingers a bit longer at Haruka. The MapJust to refresh your memory, here is the map. The points she talk about are: - Ambalchi Forest = (B)
- Jarovesu Desert = (C)
- Southern Towers = (E) and (H)

Erica gets up.
"You three discuss, I'll be over here until you are done."
She steps off to the side of the room and pulls out her dex and idly flips through it, waiting for the conversation to be over. She is 'not' having any of this lettering business pushed on her.

Haruka nodded occasionally as she took more notes while Professor Lotus spoke. She couldn't help feeling a little disappointed that she couldn't share any more words with them, but... she guess she understood. Handing out words like that could be... dangerous. Not only could a person misuse it, but someone couldn't be ready for the power it gave. She'd run into situations like that often enough. She paused in her note taking, tapping the pen against her temple. "Hmm... Orange Shards are associated with the Dragon type, as is pride. Perhaps that has something to do with it..."
She glanced at the map the Professor produced, writing down the locations. "As I said before, I don't have any objections to helping out and... if everyone is using them, we might be at a bit of a disadvantage if we shun them outright... And I suppose it's my responsibility to do so, considering my expertise with this sort of thing is why I was accepted to the program in the first place..."
Haruka's mouth twitched as Erica left. She supposed she couldn't expect anymore out of her, people did shy away from the unknown and occult, especially when confronted with hard facts about its existence. Well, she wouldn't let that stop her. She hadn't before and she definitely wasn't going to now. Though... she did hope Dean would at least tolerate it. She felt already disconnected with the group, having neither of her travel companions supporting this endeavor wouldn't go well... But still, she needed to give Professor Lotus a solid answer. "Very well, I accept your terms," Haruka said with a nod.

Lotus first sighs when Erica suddenly leaves the discussion but as soon as Haruka agrees, her mood improves considerably. "Fantastic!" she celebrates, clapping her hands. She then hands Haruka the materials, subtly putting it between the priestess and Dean. "Now, there are two scrolls with Unown here, a few blank ones and some slip for the ritual. I advise keeping the papyrus away from them until you want to use them, since they will quickly move to the older material," she says calmly, taking a small notepad from the bag. "Now, I'm gonna teach you some Words. Very simple ones so you can start small and also to reduce the chances of you losing any Unown," she says, writing three words on the notepad and turning to show Dean and Haruka. "GADNS is a Word of Change. It roughly translates as 'harvest' and it must be used in plants," she explains, pointing to the first word written. "It basically makes plants grow in an accelerated state, so plantations immediately grow crops. Very used by farmers in Lima," she says with a smile, "And by trainers who grow berries.""Then two Words of Power. BDELM means 'enjoy', and it gives Pokémon the ability to momentarily share their sense of taste with others," she explains calmly, "It's a good way to befriend wild Pokémon or simply share resources.""The second is NAGEB, or 'breeze'. The Pokémon become able to summon a gentle wind that clears any alterations to the weather," she finalised the list. "It doesn't allow to manipulate it, simply 'restore' it to normal," she clarifies using her fingers to make the quotation marks. "That's it for now. The Unown in the scrolls are enough to use all these words, but if any is lost you'll have to find more," she says, putting everything else back in the bag. "Is that all clear? Any questions?"The WordsYou can read a bit more about the Words in their wikidot pageLotus gives 5 paper scrolls and 10 papyrus slips. 2 of the scrolls already have Tanoby Unown, as follows: * The first has "A", "E", "G" and "S" * The second has "B", "D" , "M" and 'N"

Haruka continued to take notes as Professor Lotus conveyed a series of words and their effects. Hmm... that word that sped up plant growth would be good when she finally got the supplies for it... Though she did notice something a bit off when the Professor presented the scrolls. "Um... I don't have any other questions, but... Professor, are you sure we have all the letters we need? There isn't an 'L' for BDELM in these scrolls, unless I missed it somewhere..." Haruka said, adjusting her glasses.
Though, everything else was fine, so Haruka grabbed the bag and made room for it in her larger traveling bag before stuffing it in. However, after she finished, Haruka paused for a second. Was that a bit... presumptuous of her to just grab the bag when Dean hadn't said no yet? Maybe... she should ask? "... It's um... fine if I take it, right? It's just kind of... this is my area of expertise and... well... you'd only need to ask me if you want to use one of the words. Sorry if I um... overstepped my bounds." Haruka winced, she felt all unbalanced after Dean's reaction to her earlier. She felt like she could barely get a word out without expecting him to shout a tirade back at her.

Erica glances up from time to time, waiting for this conversation to be over so she could ask for a moment of privacy with the professor herself. She raises an eyebrow when Haruka goes for the letters. As long as she doesn't bring them near her eqiupment, it'll be fine.

Seeing Haruka's uneasiness around him makes it clear for Dean he had gone too far earlier. He walks up to her and puts a hand on her shoulder reassuringly before saying:
"no problem Haruka. I think it would be best for you to keep hold of this stuff. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to use these 'words' in my battles but I'll help you look for and gather more of these creatures if you want me to."
He wants to say more and issue a formal apology but suddenly finds himself at a loss for words. He was still upset with her for the way she talked down to both him and especially Erica, but in his heart he'd already forgiven her. After an awkward pause he quietly adds a soft "Sorry for earlier, I shouldn't have been so hard on you"
Cheeks flush, he takes some distance from the psychic before addressing the professor.
"Is there anything else you might need from us? If not, I'd like to make my way over to Mr. Herman's ranch to see what all the fuss is about. Anyone wanna come?"
He looks expectantly from Haruka over to Erica, hoping both, or at least one of them would join him.

Erica looks up again as the conversation seems to be drawing to a close and shakes her head in Dean's direction.
"Sorry, but no. I'd like a 'private' word with the Professor, as long as the magic spelling bee conversation is done? I just need to clarify something with her."
Erica waits patiently but her finger taps the opposite, as in all honestly, she wants them both out of there so she can ease her mind, which has been at least in part on edge since the Professor's intro speech yesterday before she took off. If she can clear this up, she'll worry a lot less.

"Oh, dear," Lotus exclaims as Haruka points out one of the letters are missing. "Are you sure? I was certain I had them all there..." She starts going through her bag, but seems unable to find the missing letters she then eyes the things he just handed Haruka. "Can I see it?" she ask, and then she's reviewing the scrolls and papyrus she gave the young trainers. A few seconds later, she takes one of the papyrus where a small Tanoby Unown is. "A-ha! Knew I had them all. It probably jumped here while I brought the back. Like I said, you might want to keep these in different places."She then takes the papyrus where the Unown is and one of Haruka's blank scrolls. Placing the scroll on the table, she tears the papyrus where the Unown is, and it immediately jumps back to the scroll. "It's hard to make them jump back to paper, so this is the only way," Lotus explains. "You may also notice I placed it in a new scroll instead of the two used. That's because putting it there would make the scroll have 5 letters, so in case of accidental destruction, that may be interpreted as invoking a word, you see?" She then hands it all back to Haruka, including an extra slip of papyrus to replacer one she destroyed. "Try to keep only 4 Unowns per scroll to prevent that. Just in case," she finalises it with a smile, before Erica brings up the fact she wants to speak in private. "Oh, sure!" she says, although we face is slightly confused. "We can talk for sure. But it would be better if you two waited," she tells Haruka's and Dean. "Erica would appreciate the visit to the ranches as well, I'm sure, and this won't take much, right?" she directs the last question to Haruka with a sympathetic face. "There's one last thing I need to give you all backing the lab," she clarifies. When the two others leave the room and she's all alone with Erica, She looks at the girl with a kind face. "Very well, this is only us now. How can I help you, Erica?" she asks with true curiousity. Haruka Lotus gives you the missing "L" letter

Erica rolls her eyes at the mention that she'd like to go to the ranch. She wasn't interested at all but doesn't say anything to confirm or deny that to the others. She waits for the others to leave and closes the door behind them. She swaggers over to one of the chairs and sits back down. She thinks for a moment before looking up.
"Do we have a problem... you and I?"
Before Lotus can reply, Erica holds her hand up.
"Let me clarify first."
She takes out the original letter from Juniper sent to her and slaps it on the table.
"This letter and some of the things you said when we first got here suggest that you and her both know 'things' about me. Things I thought I kept secret. In the circles I've known, when somebody finds something like this out about someone, they hold it over them to get what they want. And I refuse to be in that position. I'm perfectly happy to keep doing this league test for ya, and capture pokemon and whatever. But as a thing of equal respect, not because something's being held over my head."
She looks straight at Lotus.
"So that's what I mean when I ask: 'Do we have a problem?'"

Haruka flinched slightly at the sudden hand on her shoulder, but relaxed as Dean spoke. She let out a sigh of relief as he continued. Well... at least she hadn't driven both of them away at once. "Um... thank you!" she said back, "And... I wouldn't mind visiting the ranch after we're done. With two solid recommendations, it'd be a bit silly not to..."
She made to finish packing the supplies for dealing with Tanoby Unown in her bag, when the Professor asked to go through them again. Haruka relented, handing the bag over. As the professor found the missing letter then explained some caveats with storing the Unown, she nodded attentively. It made sense, she probably shouldn't go triggering combinations of letters that she was unsure about, even by accident. She packed the bag away for real this time, as Erica requested for them to leave with another abrasive dig attached to the statement. Haruka furrowed her brow, she guessed that that was how some people dealt with things they were afraid of, but it was still... a little annoying. She was tempted to stick around because of it but... she was already on thin ice as it was.
"Well, alright," Haruka said with a shrug as she shouldered her pack. She left the room and jumped slightly as the door closed immediately behind her. Mother Mew! What was her deal? It's not like she was going to eavesdrop on a conversation that she wanted to be private. Haruka let out an irritated huff as she sat down in a chair nearby with some force. "... I'd say we just leave now for the ranch since Erica didn't seem interested, but Professor Lotus did ask us to wait..." she muttered, half to herself as she crossed her arms.

Lotus is a bit taken aback by Erica's brash question. "What? I..." she mumbles, before shaking her head suddenly. "Where did you get that from?" she asks in a soft voice. "Have I ever treated you any differently than Dean or Haruka? 'Holding things over you', as you say?" she continues, before joining hands in a thoughtful manner.
"Let me be clear, Erica, just as you were." she starts, but her face is not mad or worried - more like intrigued, "I don't know exactly what you did or the circles you knew, other than what's been passed by Professor Juniper, but I know not all of it was... proper," she carefully picks the word, "but you should not expect to create such elaborate technological work without drawing attention, especially when you do so with suck controlled items like pokéballs are. We work with them for a living, you see? They are carefully tracked and monitored, so I imagine Juniper knew about it for quite a while," she explains matter-of-factly.
"We may not condone with the methods you chose, Erica, but it would be foolish not to acknowledge your skill," she says with a smile, "so that's what we did. We are simply trying to make you flourish without the need for repeating those methods." She then stands up and takes a relaxed stance by the wall. "By the Ancients, I did things I probably shouldn't at the beginning of my career as well, yet here I am. So rest assured," she says heading to the door, "you may do as you want here, Erica. Neither I nor any of the professors will hold anything from your past against you. But..." she says, turning to the girl just as she reaches the door handle, "I highly advise you not to go back to your old practices. We won't judge you for what happened back then, but now you shouldn't need that. So although you're in our service now, we will not protect you if you... bend the rules. Are we clear?" she asks, one hand ready to open the door.

As she begins and seems surprised at Erica's words, Erica speaks up to correct.
"You didn't treat me different from them, but it seemed like you knew something and weren't acting on it which worried me and weirded me out. It's been bugging me since yesterday and I had to ask or it'd drive me nuts."
She stays quiet and listens carefully to the rest, absorbing the information. She didn't know that she was so visible before, and that visibly sent a chill down her spine. Although she suppresses the feeling half-way through when she remembered she's not alone. She continues to listen until Lotus is done. Although somewhere back in her mind she wants to ask what the Professor did in her past to make the comparison but decides to drop that thought. And again, there's strange praise for Erica's skills, and she again feels weird about it. After the Professor finishes she finally speaks up again.
"I never wanted to do things that way in the first place, and didn't plan to start up again. That's the point of coming here, right? I just felt like a shoe was just waiting to drop and I hate that feeling. But yeah.. we are clear."

Lotus smiles at Erica's answers. "There's no shoe to drop," she says jokingly, "I'm glad we're clear then. And I think you're gonna like what comes next." She grins and opens the door, conducting Erica back at the main room, where Dean and Haruka are waiting, although a bit impatiently. "Now, one last thing for you," she says, going back to her desk and leaving the bag. She then grabs a small envelope and returns. "This would hardly be a proper mission if you had no reward, so..." she opens the envelope, where three black cards are. She takes and gives one to each of the trainers, their names written in silver letters on one side. "This is your first stipend. I'm sure you have already been instructed, but just to remind you: you'll get credits at the end of every week, depending on your development in Lima," she explains to the trio, repeating words they have indeed listened before. "You'll send your report weekly, and I'll return balance details as on the dex so you can check, but any questions you have I'll be always available. And now we're finished!" she says with a smile, sitting on a table. "I'm sure we'll cross paths again and I WILL be in touch," she tells the group, "but now it's time you have your trip without much influence. I expect to hear news about Tanoby Unown as we talked," she winks at Haruka, "as well as your report on the League and any other things you may find. Now, I truly advise you check the ranches to get some unique pokémon," she subtly looks at Erica, "and then head to Allogra City. Lima's first gym is there, but I recommend you training a bit. I hear it's not an easy one," she stands up again, heading to the door. "Are you prepared to start the real Journey?" she asks with a grin. OOCYou get your weekly credits now! Each of you gets $2,700 to spend as you wish, in the city or otherwise. Your rewards is as follow: - 14 Pokémon Species Registered = 14 x $150 = $2,100
- One Important Discovery (Tanoby Unowns) = $6,000
- Total ($8,100) / 3 = $2,700
Just to inform you, each Tanoby Word you find counts as a Minor Discovery when reported.

"Alright, lead the way."
Erica follows her outside and listens quietly as the cards are explained. She takes hers, gives it a once over and places it away safely in a pocket. Once at the end of every week is going to feel like forever but hopefully she'll get enough to last or maybe some of her birds will come home to roost. Maybe she won't have to bet on matches for at least some of her cash flow. She rolls her eyes when Lotus brings up the ranch again.
"Ok, fine, I'll go. Damn."
She leans back against a wall and just merely nods at the Professor's final query. She waits for the others to answer while she thinks about what she needs. From what she knows, Gyms are true tests of skill, and she's only got one true trainer battle under her belt now, and not even a singles one. That's to think about later, afterall. She really only came here to up the burden on her parents, so getting anywhere in the league isn't a priority right now. But maybe she can even the odds with all this new cash...

Haruka waited a bit impatiently, tapping a foot as time stretched on. She considered grabbing her calligraphy set and drawing out some Cleanse Tags, but paused when she remembered the Unown in her pack. She... didn't really want to tempt fate with things that could jump between writing surfaces. She also didn't want to risk one getting on a tag since she didn't really want to find out what would happen to one on a tag when it was burned. She flattened out the fabric skirt as she thought of something to do... or say. Even though Dean had said he was hard on her, she still felt a bit awkward... What could she... oh!
"So... um... I was just wondering. When we leave town, would you perhaps want to go find the Unown we left behind yesterday on the way in? ... Though I guess we have the letters they are already, so maybe it's a little bit of a waste of time. It is in the opposite direction where we want to go so... well... I guess I'm fine with leaving them behind since they aren't incredibly crucial," Haruka said, stammering a little bit. Gaaah, she needed to get herself together! Though... she still harbored a few doubts about her actions... maybe she should say something to get them off her chest? Maybe that would make her feel a little better...
"And I uh... Um... sorry for what I said earlier. I'll try to um... speak up next time. I just didn't want to... you know... give them any signs of weakness, I guess? I suppose I didn't want them to get anything over us and... well... Sorry," Haruka managed to get out. She cringed somewhat, nice job not tripping over yourself... Though while she was talking, maybe she should get something else out there, "Also um... are you okay with me using my abilities to help us out? The way you said I interfered just made it seem like... well... I can... stop. If it makes you feel uncomfortable. I know a lot of people think what I do is... weird. And I get it if you'd rather me not do that. So if you'd rather not have me interfere then I guess I can just... stop." She stared down at her hands as she spoke. She guessed... that was what was bothering her. She'd run into a lot of people that hadn't really liked her abilities, that had called her weird, or a witch. Maybe... she was more worried about what other people thought about her than she thought she was...
After their conversation had ended, the door opened and Erica and Professor Lotus walked through. Haruka perked up as they did so. It hadn't been long but... it was still a bit of a wait. She stood up from where she was sitting before she received an envelope from the Professor. She opened it a bit curiously as she continued to speak and her eyes widened as she saw a money amount on it. Oh! That was... well, it wasn't an outrageous sum, but it was a decent one! This would be good spending money for cooking and other supplies! Maybe she could head back and buy that portable planter... Oh, but before that...
Haruka bowed halfway at her waist before she spoke, "Ah! Thank you, Professor! I was getting a bit low on funds, actually... This is much appreciated! I'll make sure I write down any notes on anything I find out about the Unown. And I'll um... try my best in the gym! Hopefully it goes well..." She was a little nervous about the prospect of her first gym battle. She wondered if other trainers felt like this as it came closer... She didn't feel... super confident about it. She didn't know if she'd feel confident about anything for a while considering how badly she had misstepped earlier with Erica and Dean... Hopefully making amends with them later would help that out.

Waiting with Haruka felt a little awkward. Even though he had tried to reassure the girl that he wasn't that mad at her, she looked very uncomfortable about the whole situation. Just when Dean was about to speak up, Haruka stirred and started speaking.
"I think we can do without the 2 unown we came across earlier. I have a sneaking suspicion that they'll be not too hard to find if we look closely. If it's okay with you I'd like to do some training in the morning and then head out on the road. My Pokémon could really use some time to train and I'd be happy to help you along as well."
When she then apologizes, Dean isn't exactly sure what to say. He was happy she was trying to make amends, even though he thinks Erica would be the better target for her apologies.
"That means a lot Haruka, let's just forget about it okay? Oh and I don't want you to stop using your abilities, that's not at all what I meant. I just felt that you were giving Erica a hard time about her cases when your abilities interfere in a battle about the same way. If you hadn't noticed by now, I'm not a big fan of the occult, but that doesn't mean you should stop being you. I'll just have to get used to it a little is all."
A grin then spreads on his face as he tries to lighten the mood.
"I hope we're cool now, I can't have you cursing me in my sleep"
When Erica and the professor returned, Dean tried to act as casual as possible. He thanked the professor as he accepted the card. "Thanks a lot professor, I could really use the cash to be honest. I'd like to do some stocking up for the next leg of our journey. How long do you reckon it will take for us to reach Allogra? That way I can gauge how much training we could get in before getting into town."
Dean was visibly impatient, he really wanted to go and meet mr. Herman. It would be a great way to collect some data on the Pokémon on the ranch and he wondered how many different species the farm kept on hand.
