Ouch! A bit less rabbit left by now. With Alice injured and the Tauros barely slowing down it was becoming increasingly clear that this wasn't a matchup the Diggersby would win. Jane bit her lip and her hand instinctively moved to Sam's hand. The tiny Steel type would no doubt be an excellent pokémon against this annoying cow. But - ah. She had other pokémon that needed the exercise more.
"All right! Well fought Alice; tag in Teus!"
Alice returns to her ball for a brief breather and Teus the Flareon hops out in her place, 3m from the bull!
"Fluffy! Pin it down!"
The Flareon switched to his Fire Gem and used Fire Spin!
rJhXxr5e1d20+2 vs AC 4
if hit deal 2d10+39 Special Fire damage. Additionally the Tauros is stuck in a Vortex!
Then he hopped an additional 7m away from the Tauros, hopefully out of range from retaliation for this round. 1d20+2·2d10+39

Ow! That didn't work as well as Jane and Teus had hoped!
On the bright side - the Tauros was now on fire. Thanks Flame Body!
In an effort to buy some time for the Burn to soften the Tauros Fluffly looked at it with his big shiny eyes. Big sad puppy eyes! What kind of monster could even contemplate attacking such an innocent creature?
Also, the innocent creature seems to be gathering sand with its front paws ...
Jane binds Capricious Whirl!
Fluffy used Charm!

if hit the Tauros loses 2 Atk Cs.
and Stacked Deck activates. Whenever Tauros takes Burn damage it takes 5 damage extra.
and Fluffy uses Escape Artist to Disengage for free. Then hops another 7m away (total distance = 8m)
and Fluffy will use Trickster to throw sand in its eyes!

Tauros snorts and shakes its head, trying to dislodge the sand in its eyes. A quick command from its trainer has it calm enough to use Work Up again, neutralizing the Charm. (Tauros had +1 ATK from the first work up, dropped to -1 from Charm, then went back to +0 this round)

Tauros decides it's time for a Power-nap! It fwumps to the ground, knocking dust around to put out all the fire. Tauros used Rest!

Fluffy carefully approaches the snoozing Tauros and prods it with his paw. What's this? Sleeping?!
The Flareon wasn't really sure how he were going to feel about this. Hmph.
Well... Since they had time he tried a Charm first. Somehow that works perfectly fine on sleeping opponents!

Before the wicked Tauros has a chance to smack the poor Flareon it shines its shiny eyes at the bull. Surely it would have to have some mercy in its black heart?

Tauros (somehow) falls inexplicably in love with Flareon for a moment. Of course, overalls girl doesn't seem to appreciate this trickery. First blinding it then doing some weird 'attraction' nonsense? She tells Tauros to run that stupid fire bug over. (Yes, she even calls it a bug.)
Reduce damage from 40 to 30.
Tauros tries to gore Fluffy as well.

Ah darn! Jane made a mental note to convert some of the cuddle-Fluffy time to train-Fluffy time. The poor Flareon was a bit below the curve and here she could really feel it. "Good job Fluffy! Back to you Alice!"

All right all right. Things were looking better; but Alice was still dangerously low on HP. It was worth giving another Double Kick a shot - maybe the third time was the charm?
