Eve realizes, perhaps a bit too late, that Fighting type Pokemon specialize in physical damage. Granted, it didn't change much of her simple strategy... Go big or try, try again.
Her first Pokemon is Letty, who is equipped with a Rainbow Gem attuned to Special Attack and trained in both Focus and Agility. Letty is sent out with orders to strike first with Fairy Wind!

As Letty emerges onto the battlefield, Hitmonchan rushes in with a feinting strike!
Fake Out AC 2 vs yc2PwsbG1d20 Damage: 1d8+23 Priority when joining the encounter. If used with priority, auto-flinch (-5 Init for remainder of battle and Vulnerable (no evasion) for 1 full round).
After disorienting the little fairy, it attacks with a series of lightning-fast jabs!

That miss had really hurt, and Letty was too low for a change of plans. Nothing else but to charge onwards. Eve called for another Fairy Wind, pairing the command with a focused order (+1 accuracy)!

Hitmonchan is blasted to the ground by fairy dust, and Machoke emerges. Following Hitmonchan's example, it strikes with lightning-fast punches.

And with that, Eve no longer had a Pokemon that could deal super effective damage to fighting types. With a word of gratitude for the hard work, she recalls Letty, and releases her next 'mon, Cera, hoping that the only four she had ready for this gym match would hold out. With Commander's Voice, she inspires Cera to strike where it hurts most (brutal training and inspired training orders) on top of the similar training her Corroseon had received earlier that day (brutal training and inspired training). The move of choice is Sludge.
Cera init - 16

Machoke opts for that "slam dunk" maneuver you saw it perform against Kaeda's solosis.

Eve's strategy remains the same even though she switches out brutal orders with focused orders, and of course keeping the inspiring orders. Emphasizing accuracy over an increased effect range this time, she orders her Cera to hang in there and hit with a Smog.

Machoke coughs slightly as it waves away the toxic gas. It performs an elbow drop strike on Cera.

PAIN! Even factoring in resistances, Eve could tell that attack had hurt. She wished she could do something to mix things up, try a different approach with better success, but there was nothing else she could think of. She had trained Cera in that same, simple fashion she approached battles, with really only one role in mind. She ordered another Sludge, repeating the first set of orders: Brutal and Inspired.

Machoke goes down. Throh enters the battle arena and charges in for a body slam.

Capitalizing on its foe's weakened state, Throh picks up the Corroseon and hurls it across the arena.

Eve wasn't fast enough to react to the sudden change in her Cera's speed, but she wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. After watching Cera from one hit and then another because of her (Eve's) mistake, Eve orders a counterattack. She boosts Cera's first attack with focused and brutal orders to maximize the damage of Acid Spray.
Acid Spray AC 2 vs GtLp0cwZ1d20+1 Damage: 2d6+51 Effect: Acid Spray lowers the target’s Special Defense by -2 CS.
In the next round, Eve orders for an agile strike, bringing Cera's initiative back to the top, and emphasizes just landing the attack over poisoning the enemy (agility and focused training orders).
Sludge AC 2 vs 1d20+1 Damage: 2d10+53 Effect: Sludge Poisons the target on 15+. Modified to 12+ by brutal training and poison touch.1d20+1·2d6+51·1d20+1·2d10+53

Cera down. Letty and Cera were both down, and now Eve had to wade her way through two more trainers with just Dia and Vee? Ho-hum what a predicament. Part of her wondered if she should give up, but... no. Not yet. She had already chosen what point to surrender at. She'd keep on trying up until that point.
"Dia, let's make this count!" Eve gives rather generic encouragement as she sends out her Draconeon, "It's another Hitmonchan! Letty one-shot the last one, let's try for a second one-shot! Dual Chop!".

With Throh defeated, that's Trainer 1/3. Trainer #2 starts with a Lucario, which easily weathers the dragon-typed attack.
It creates a bone staff made of Aura Energy and swings away.

Issuing Focused and Inspired orders once more, Eve commands Dia to use Dragon Tail on the Lucario. It was regrettable how a resisted attack was the best choice she had in her entire team.

Paralyzed again, but this time, it didn't result in Eve's side losing the speed game. On Dia's turn... she didn't order a strike. Instead, she returned the Draconeon, sending out, rather counterintuitively, the Normal type Companeon. With how slow Vee the Companeon was, this meant an incoming double strike, but... her only hope was in Dia's survival.
Init - 5 Training: Inspired Training, Focused Training Orders: Inspired Training, Focused Training

The first Force Palm is tanked and the second just outright misses. "Yes!" Eve cheered, "That was a super effective attack just now, right?!". Why was she so happy? Because despite the move appearing to be a fighting type attack, it hadn't looked it'd done any damage to Vee at all. If it was like this... if it was like this, then Eve was sure she could change her plans up. What she ordered now was a little on the... mean side, but Eve knew it was something her Companeon could handle. Applying the same sort of orders, Eve commanded, "Let's test the waters. Take Down on the Lucario, Vee!". Why was such an ordinary sounding order a bit mean? Because part of the reason why Eve issued such an order was to gauge how much damage the Lucario would take by observing her own Pokemon's condition.
