This time it works (mostly)! You just barely manage to jump high enough to grab hold of the trapdoor and hang on tight before hauling yourself into the crawlspace. From here, it's a journey of immeasurable time (due to not having any way to track its passage) until you tumble down an unexpected slide and out into a warehouse. It's perhaps around midday based on the sunlight seen when you peek outside. Spotting nobody around, you spot something partially hidden under a nearby bush. It's your bag! Complete with all your stuff, untouched.

Riley scrambles back into her t-shirt and jeans (they smell faintly sweet, which disgusts her) and lets all of her pokemon out of their pokeballs, partially to ascertain their presence and partially for comfort. FUCK MIND GAAAAAMES she screams, throwing up her hands to the sky. We're gonna destroy this gym. she vows with a clutched fist. She's a bit manic from exhaustion- mental and physical- but otherwise pretty okay for being held captive all night.
Pumped with adrenaline, Riley trains her pokemon and heads back toward the gym. She's not quite sure where that is, to be honest, but she just heads toward the biggest buildings in Celadon and that helps. But when she gets there, she's long walked off the stress hormones and is about ready to pass out. So Riley makes a detour to the Pokecenter, grabbing a room to finally get some sleep.
3 hours later, a haggard Riley rises to once again confront the damn gym. She hesitates before walking up those steps again, electing to release Pilgrim from his ball and instructing him to remain invisible so she won't be alone this time. Then, a hidden Pilgrim in tow, she walks up and opens the doors with a scowl.

Things are completely different than the last time Riley entered the Celadon Gym. Now there are lights on, and she can see furniture scattered about this first room. Nobody seems to be present at first, but there are no mysterious, giggling voices this time. Looking around, you think you see something on the nearby couch. Turns out to be a woman with platinum blonde hair and a gigantic (by comparison) chest. She seems to be asleep. And naked. For some reason.

Riley blushes and looks quickly away from the woman when she realizes she's nude. Not that Riley is surprised, since the people here were so comfortable taking her own clothes off. She figures it'd probably be a good idea to talk to the woman, but not like that! Well, since I'm used to it by now... Riley strips off her shirt and drapes it over the woman's torso like a blanket, mostly just to hide those enormous breasts (I wonder if they're fake? ...never mind). At least, now Riley and the woman are both somewhat clothed. Then, she begins taking her pants off to offer the woman as well, although they might not fit...

When you lay your shirt over the sleeping woman, she snaps awake, sitting up rapidly. She then yawns and scratches her head, seemingly oblivious to her own nudity. She notices you after a moment.
"Oh, hey there!" She notices you are half-undressed and grins. "Guess you're more open to stuff than I thought! So, you want to be top or bottom? I usually prefer to be on top, but I've been known to take one for the team on occasion."
You happen to spot a bra when it falls off the couch. Out of some sense of mild (to moderate) curiosity, you glance briefly at the tag. It reads "36 DD".

Riley straightens up and looks thoughtful for a moment, as if considering the offer. I wonder why you didn't lead with this? It probably would've been more effective that way; I would've gotten flustered, maybe even left. But after a night trapped in your basement, it really falls...flat. She says, indicating the woman's breasts. Riley snatches her shirt back. Now, take me to the gym leader.

The blonde ponders a moment. "Huh. That's not a bad idea, actually. Though it is pretty fun watching people freak out over the treadmill floor. In truth, I fell asleep waiting for you to get out of there. Didn't think it'd take you all night. Most people get out within an hour or two. What took you so long?"
She (finally) begins collecting her scattered articles of clothing and putting them back on. She then spends the remainder of the conversation brushing out her hair and re-applying tasteful makeup. Her explanation for this? 'Always gotta look your best!'

Oh, that's simple: I'm dumb. Riley says. Anyway, I'm amazed that you can legally get away with what you're doing here. The enjoyment you take in tormenting people is not only criminal, but pathological. You're the gym leader, aren't you?

The Gym Leader? snorts at your comment about legality. "Please. You aren't the first person to claim what I'm doing here is criminal/makes me pathologically insane/whatever. I blame my Aunt for being the way I am. Also, if what I was doing was really illegal, do you seriously think a hard-ass like Champion Lilith would let me stay in business? Fuck that. I'd be replaced so fast your head'd spin. She goes around the Gym Circuit every six months and 'tests' us to make sure we're up to her absurd standards. If that's not a superiority complex, I don't know what is."
She shakes her head.
"Besides all that, short of a panic attack (which, if you have, I'd be amazed that you've survived being a trainer long enough to get here), you were never in any real danger in that trick room. Much longer and someone would have gone looking for you. Probably not me, as I would have forgotten, but someone. But yeah, I'm Nalkeya, Celadon's Gym Leader. 'Sup?"
She flashes you a cheshire grin.

Riley holds up a pokeball. "Pilgrim, return." She doesn't like it, but what Nalkeya says at least makes some sense. Riley suddenly realizes how exhausted she is by all the antics here. I can't imagine living like this, playing mind games all the time. She kind of feels bad for Nalkeya, in a weird way. "Well, someone told me a while ago that if you blame others for how you act, then you really just don't want to change. We're all responsible for our own lives." It takes a second for Riley to wonder why exactly she's saying these things to a stranger who probably doesn't even care, anyway. "I'm here to battle you, Nalkeya."

Nalkeya shrugs. "I mean, aren't we all just products of how we're raised? In any case, you gotta get through Atropa, one of my Gym Trainers first. Beat her and you can face me. Gotta make sure my Gym Trainers get the occasional workout too, right? I'll warn ya now though: most don't get past her. Even her own brother took two attempts before he managed. While you fight her, I'll go get my stuff ready."As Nalkeya walks off, your opponent arrives to take you to the battle arena.

Exhausted from her battle (though she herself didn't actually do much!) Jane continued onward to Celadon City. First the pokécenter. And then! Well, probably a nice cosy table in the pokécenter. She needed to sit down a bit to fix a new Gem for Hind and a rainbow one for herself. And take stock and so, before trying the gym. But that will have to wait I think. After three battles, which had been getting closer and closer, she was almost out of tricks - or at least low enough that taking on something like a Gym felt excessive. And I should do some research probably! So while she continued to wander along the route she flipped up her pokédex, accessed internet and typed in "How to beat the Celadon City Gym" in the search bar. Am I feelin' lucky? We'll see!

Seeing as it's a Poison Gym, most search results state the obvious: "Bring psychic or ground Pokemon for dealing damage, and/or steel pokemon for 'an easy clear'." Doesn't say anything about the Gym Leader's strategies, or team makeup, or anything about the Gym beyond location and Type. Surprisingly (or perhaps not), half the results say "How to beat Cerulean Gym". Darn Poke-Search.

"Just use Grass types"?! Jane squinted in suspicion at the dex until she saw what result it was displaying. *Groan* "Dammit not this one too..." She mumbled to herself and moved on to the next link. And the next...
Eventually she found herself in the outskirts of Celadon - not much wiser - and she forced herself to put the dex away so she could look for the pokécenter. And then, once there, a nice cosy corner where she could sit down and tinker a bit after healing her pokémon.

"*Hum hum hum*" Jane sang softly to herself as she puzzled together the shards into useful shapes, under Tia's watchful eye. I wonder how the other two are doing? The pokédex displayed 0 new messages. It had truly proved to be a useful helper these last few hours she thought to herself with a wry smile. Oh well. Eventually they'll show up I'm sure!

Somewhere else in the city..."The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round. The wheels on the bus go round and round, all the livelong day..." Mutters quietly as the bus soars through the sky on the wings of song. *KRSSSSSSS*"Noooo, I don't want to see the Hippopotas... They smell..."*Nudge. Nudge* Salena wakes up with bleary eyes. A hiker is saying something incomprehensible and silly like that she arrived at her destination. Wait. No. Yes. Celadon? Oh! Maybe this was Celadon?! AHA! Salena grabs her things in a flash. She's made it! She's finally made it to Celadon City! She's finally made it to- Wait. Her eyes turn back to the bus. In the window, she spots the gaze of a fishy character indeed. Red hat, weird lunchbox thing. Him! Fisherman! What was he doing on the bus still? What was the hiker still doing on the bus!? As she ponders this, the bus rolled away into the midday sun, taking all of it's secrets with it. Oh well! Salena whips out her new Pokédex with a flash. Eheheee! It was so shiny now! For now though, she resisted the urge to play around with it and instead shot a message to her partners. Or were they more like strangers? Probably more like strangers. I mean, she did sort of just leave em suddenly after Officer Jameson took her away. She frowns. Maybe she shouldn't text them? It would be terribly embarrassing to explain the whole situation and- Nope. No. Nope, nope, nope, nope, NOOOPE. That's what got her into trouble in the first place. This time she doesn't hesitate, and brings fingers to keys. Hey!
Finally made it to Celadon. If guys would like, let's meet up at the Celadon Department store. I've got some small shopping to do before I beat the stuffing out of that Gym! Ciao!
- LL Then, she types out another quick message, sent to someone entirely different. Hey mom.
Just letting you know, I got my new Pokédex and arrived in Celadon safely. Bus ride was a little weird, but everything else was normal. Though, the Professor was nothing like the old guy you always told me about. He seemed a bit of a crank. That's ok though!~ At least he didn't question me too much on why I needed a Pokédex.
Anyways, I'll shoot you another message after I beat the Celadon Gym. Don't work too hard, alright?
Love you mom!
Salena.

"Oh?" Jane's pokédex bleeped. A message! She put away the things she was tinker with to read it. As soon as she had she shoved her things back into her backpack and headed out - she could finish it later! As she shoved her way out trough the pokécenter front doors she sent a message back. Sure! Riley wakes up to a small ding! and checks her pokedex. Hey all! Sorry for the late reply. You wouldn't believe the past few days I've had- I'll tell you about it when I meet you at the dept. store. -Riley She releases her pokemon to inspect them. They all glow violet with her aura, and she swells with pride. "Great practice run, everybody! We will beat this gym!" Her eyes burn maniacally, then she relaxes for a moment, thoughtful. "I promise I'll heal your wounds when we've defeated Nalkeya. Don't worry, I have full control, okay? For now, use the power I've given you." Then, she returns everybody and takes a deep breath. Riley made a good decision to go easy last time against Atropa, now she has a pretty good idea of the overall level of the gym. Next time, full force! She's gonna need a few things to do that, though...but first, she needs money. Ah! She forgot something. I've got some news! Yesterday I bought the rights to my pokemon ranch, and I'm super excited!! It cost me a pretty penny tho, so I figured I'd offer: if you guys want to buy in so we can share the ranch, I'm all for it. That way it'll be cheaper for everybody. Since I paid 5k for it, just pay me 1650 each and we'll be co-owners! With that settled, Riley straps on her bag and walks happily out into the afternoon with a grin. Then, she makes her way to the department store- it's a big, grand building in the center of town so not easily missed. She looks around for familiar faces in the lobby. I'm here on the first floor- where U guys at? -R

"HERE!" Salena cries out, looking up from her Pokédex in some far corner of the lobby. She looks completely unrecognizable from the girl yesterday, being clean and normally dressed. Still, she was still armed with her Chemistry Pot and her witch's hat hangs clutched in her right hand, so it's hard to say she changed that much. "I thought I felt you come in." She says cryptically, glowing with a certain sense of pride.
"Hey! So what is this Ranch you're talking about? Have you taken a swing at the gym yet?"

"Hey, Lavender!" Riley gives the girl a friendly hug, smiling. "Okay, um- so yes, I tried and failed at the gym just earlier today. It's alright, I think I'll get it next time. It's crazy there, I was trapped in the basement all night, so watch the hell out. They like to play tricks on you. " Riley takes out her pokedex to show Lavender a picture of a Pokémon Ranch. "As for the ranch, it's like a government-owned lot that you send your pokemon to if you're not using them. Like the old PC system. But you can buy it from the government and make it your own! You can hire people to care for your team, or buy a house to keep your things. It can get really expensive so it might be better to share, that's why I offered."
