Salena nods contently. "Ok. I'll see you guys in the morning!
After a time, Salena returns to her room at the Pokémon Center. Now that the keystone was tagged, she quietly hoped it wouldn't cause any problems. She still kept her Pokémon away from it; just in case and tucked it deep into one of her shirts for extra protection. Mildly more secure than before, she quickly passes into deep slumber...
---
Slumber of course, it is usually interrupted by morning. This time, morning was interrupted by a pair of angry Pidgy's fighting over a length of bread. Salena grimaced and stared down the window as if to murder the fowl beasts.
Birds. Oh how she loathed birds. Off in the distant, a disdainful, evil sun was just beginning to rise. After a few agitated minutes, Salena forces herself to leave the confines of the sweet, delicious bed and go get some bread herself. Not many people were awake at this hour, so she kept quiet, drank some coffee and planned her next move. First she needed to do some training. That was important. But after that, she definitely had some free time to do more important things, like get a bit more money. If they were going to be hiring a Move Tutor, it was going to important that she have enough money to teach her Pokémon a move or two.
So, as soon as she's able, Salena takes to the street and hunts down a trainer. Having made sure Mr. Dugtrio made it back to her proper trainer, Jane, Sir Blobula, esq was joining her today. She really wasn't too sure how handy he'd actually be, but eh. The more the merrier! For now, the blob of goo walked in her form while Salena carried on polite conversation until a suitable opponent was found.

After the pleasant library conversation concludes, Riley heads to the pokecenter, and subsequently, to bed. The next morning, she stretches and yaaawns as sunlight filters in through the window. It's a brand new day and the mortal world is at peace...but not for long! She throws off the covers and gets dressed, absentmindedly watching herself button her shirt in the mirror. Today she's going to meet that mentor, and figure out the logistics of a potential breeding program. This guy better be qualified... Riley thinks. She grabs her pokedex and constructs the message, all business, and sends it to the dex address indicated on the hiring website. Hello, My associates and I will pay a visit to the ranch this afternoon. Please be prepared to meet us there (see attached coordinates), and we will provide the initial payment and discuss a course of action regarding training. We plan to have you begin instructing our pokemon as soon as possible.
Thank you, Riley Joy That being done, Riley grabs her bag and runs out the door, and then for some reason pokes her head back into the room. "I know you're still there, mister." A sneaky little pumpkin man appears next to the mirror. Apparently, he had been studying his invisible reflection. "Time to go, silly! C'mon!" Pilgrim squeaks a little giggle and pirouettes gracefully through the air and out the door, following his dear mistress. Now out and about, Riley spends some time training her pokemon, as well as helping Drake learn a new move from the instructions that Jane purchased at the department store (acrobatics). During that time, Pilgrim wanders around and then returns with another mystery present ( "Thanks, Pilgrim!"). Then, it's time for battle!

Jane is more then happy to head to the pokécenter and dive into a bed. Today had been exhausting! And, with a bit of luck, tomorrow would be even more productive so she would need her energy! It wasn't long before she was snoozing happily.
---
The next morning Jane hurried to breakfast and chowed down far more food then should reasonably fit inside such a girl. Maybe it had something do to with how her backpack seemingly got bigger and bigger? Now this wasn't the sort of mystery that Jane saw fit to dwell on so she quickly continued on with her business.
First a training session - including her new pair of pokés. She wanted to greet them and play with them a bit and get them used to her being around (and bossing them around!). Initially she felt that they looked a bit derpy both of them, but she quickly warmed up to their personalities and presence.
After that she should take an quick look around for shards. She suspected that there would be plenty in the tunnel, but just in case. Also gave her an excuse to take her Trubbish and Bunnelby with her - just to further accustom them to being on her team. And the later might even find something useful too!
Then she'd tinker a bit with her stuff and visit the store to pick up some supplies with her meagre savings. Wouldn't want to go into the tunnel unprepared!

When she was done with her errands she prepared to head over to the ranch - and then even further beyond! She thought a bit on if she should bring both her new pokés with her but decided against it. Maybe just the Bunnelby instead of Nie - the pokédex told her that it was close to evolution already and a ground type on her team wouldn't go amiss. The Trubbish would have to wait until say tomorrow or something!
Let's see what sort of trainers she'd find!
And after that, when she was near the ranch, she'd have Sam see if she couldn't bait some cool pokémon into an encounter!

Salena finds herself somehow lost within the back alleys of Celadon City. She has no idea when she went back here, let along how long its been since she started walking aimlessly. In fact, it feels almost as if she's been walking in circles for hours. Her feet certainly hurt enough to have been walking that long (but maybe she's just not used to walking non-stop for long periods of time). The only thing that seems to debunk the idea of walking in circles is that strange plant that seems to just be sitting there. Except.. she swears it keeps changing its position every time she walks by. Hmmmmm!

"Ugh..." Salena cries, collapsing next to the wall. She had been talking to Sir Blobula, Esq for hours and it has not been scintillating conversation. Over that time, they covered a myriad of different topics including the weather, favorite foods, string theory, and trying to explain to explain the complex chemical formulas used for making Pester Balls. Throughout all of this, the blob monster had been quite rude, making funny faces and crude farting noises at the most inappropriate of times.
Salena could sense that Sir Blobula did not have a future on her team.
So she collapsed, both in frustration and because of physical exhaustion. How... How has she not found a trainer yet!? Sir Blobula turns her head around in a complete 180 and titters obnoxiously. Salena's frown deepens. "For the record, I blame you for this."
Gyah. Ok. She got up. The easiest way to settle this would be to fly out of here until she found an actual street, but flying evidently took a license. Which is silly, but understandable, especially when she considered just how fun her first flight was. So all led to one conclusion. Why not just walk out of the alley? Why! What a fantastic idea? How come she hadn't thought of that?!
It was exactly because she had thought of that and her efforts ended decidedly poorly. Now she was stuck with an obnoxious blob and some stupid plant. Well. No wait. Plant?
As a full disclosure, she hadn't noticed at first. But, after a while, it just continued to be... There. Every road she turned, every loop she took. The plant would always come back. Sitting. Waiting. Her eyes widened.
Was this some aspect of the fae? She was not without knowledge of them. Notorious tricksters, existing beyond the veil of imagination. Masters of illusion. Her own Pokémon, Ms. Christie the Misdreavus would eventually be able to evolve into Mismagius, a Pokémon who also has manifested such powers in particularly keen and powerful subjects. But if this were but an illusion, then all she had to do was break it.
"Oh Sir Blobula, Esquire. Please, do me the great favor of not messing with that plant. It is such a beautiful thing." Salena says, smile curling up her lips.
Sir Blobula, Esq, puffs up his(her?) cheeks in a most ignoble way and immediately strides towards the plant in a decidedly haunting manner. After all of the undignified babble that it had endured today, it was filled with the spirit of spite and determined that he(she?) would crush the said plant to spite it's trainer!

As far as Sir Blobula, esq can tell, it's just an ordinary plant that just so happens to be sitting here. As the obnoxious ditto attempts to crush the plant or something, Salena swears she sees it twist out of the way. Just enough to avoid the "crush", but not so much that it would be painfully obvious that it moved.

The moving plant was enough to spook the Ditto into not wanting to play with the plant much further. It was far too spooky! He attempts to intimidate the plant by becoming... A plant. The exact copy of the plant from everything it could see and render. That'll show it!
Meanwhile, Salena was a bit worried. Yep. Something was going on here. She got up, carefully and took a good look at the plant. She closes her eyes tightly. One. Two. Three. When they opened, she could see into the psychic spectrum. She edged forward, closer and closer, and tries to investigate the planet.

Salena's eyes cannot actually detect anything odd about this seemingly moving plant. However, she does spot other movement out of the corner of her eye. When she whips around to see what's going on behind her, she spots a giant, black and red spider laying down layers of glistening spikes and webbing! While distracted, the plant suddenly disappears, replaced by a red-headed woman with a double-edged knife to Salena's throat.
"Real slowly now, I want you to recall your Ditto and set your bag on the ground. Then step away. Try anything funny and I'll happily give you a scar to remember me by."

Satisfied with her capture of the fox-pokémon, though a bit worried about how hurt Sam got, Jane makes her way towards the ranch at a leisure pace. She still had plenty of time so she could afford to enjoy the sunlight. Such a beautiful day! It felt like nothing really could go wrong a day like this. Nope - nothing!

A-ah. This was... This was not a fun situation. She did what she was told to do quietly, first reaching down for her Pokéball and returning the Sir Blobula to her Pokéball. Her bag hit the floor with a despondent thud, chems and grooming supplies jostling about despondently. The only item of real interest, the keystone, wasn't kept in there. No, that was tucked into her shirts and under her dresses. Only when she was clear of the threat of a bladed edge did she dare to speak up.
With the bag out of reach, she wasn't particularly well armed. All of her Pester Balls, repels, and strength enhancing potions were out of reach. She was not of course, without Pokémon. But didn't mean much against a knife, unless she was able to somehow able to disarm her. Which, while a possibility, was extremely remote. Salena was a terrible, terrible fighter.
For now, she does what she can to gauge her assailant. It's all one can do in such a situation.

The assailant smirks (or at least, you think she does, wearing a mask to cover all but one's eyes makes it hard to tell) as you obey the commands. She rifles through your bag, swiping both your pester balls and all your money, as well as anything else of value she can find. "Excellent. Thank you for your contribution. Ariados, come. We're done here."With that remark, Ariados absorbs the toxic spikes back into its body and the strange thief throws a smoke ball at your feet to disorient you while she escapes. Just imagine she's wearing a cloth mask to cover her face.

Salena tries not to cough. But she does. She does for a good while after hitting the ground onto her knees. That doesn't stop her from getting out her Pokédex. And her Pokéball. Two Pokéballs. "Ditto, transform!" Salena commands. This time, Blobula doesn't question the request. Within moments, she turns into a perfect carbon copy of Mr. Verne. Besides herself, Sir Blobula was the only one who actually saw the thief. It stands to reason, only Sir Blobula could potentially follow her. At least, if he could fly out of the illusion. And now? Now he definitely could.
"Find her and follow her." Salena snarled. She outstretched her arms. "Mr. Verne. Take me up beyond this illusion. Up!"
Mr. Verne did as he could, grabbing Salena and taking her vertically upwards as quick as he could. Meanwhile, Salena punched buttons on her Pokédex furiously. Despite her running bad luck with this particular organization, the police didn't seem like a terrible idea right now...

While it seems like a good idea at first, turns out floating into the sky on a balloon pokemon out of an illusion is a terrible idea, as she nearly gets clipped by someone on a Pidgeot that manages to bank at the last second to avoid a mid-air collision. She hears faint curse words thrown her way as the trainer and their bird pokemon quickly disappear over the horizon. Plus side is: clear signal to phone the police. Or the emergency number, since she doesn't know the actual precinct building's number.
"One-three-one, what is the nature of your emergency?"

Salena flips the bird, ah well... The bird, perhaps proving why young trainers shouldn't be flying illegally. Thankfully the trainer flew off to fast to notice. Probably. At any rate, she was pissed. It was only by luck she had her wits about her. If only she could actually see her attacker...
"Robbery. In an a-alley. Near..." She looked about. Ok. No. She had absolutely no clue where the hell she was. She could see Sir Blobula off in the distance, but that was hardly a locational cue. "I'm not sure where I am. I'm going to try to land and... Try to find a street sign."

"I am uninjured. Attacker was a red headed woman. Slender build. Had... Somekind of Spider Pokémon. She stole things out of my bag. Money and Pester Balls. Which are-" She looks down beside her. Greeeat. No bag. Damn! She was definitely going to have to go back for that later. There was no time to retrieve it now.
For now, she forced a landing on a nearby street, frightening pedestrians and trainers alike as she alighted from the sky. Compared to her first landing, this was practically a breeze. Her eyes darted about before finally landing on a sign. "My location is on... Ah... The corner of Greenleaf and Bleaker Ave."

Salena nods nervously. "Ok." She recalls Mr. Verne, and waits. A few moments later, she adds. "If you see a Drifblim, could you ah... Stop it? It's really my Ditto who was there when I got attacked. I asked to try to follow her but... I... I kind of panicked and... I don't know where he's at."

311 Operator: "The Officer should be there momentarily, and I'm sure they'll be able to help you retrieve your Ditto. I'm going to hang up now, so please make sure to cooperate with the Officer when they arrive. It's the best way to help us get your stuff back."
The operator hangs up, and shortly after that, a Police Officer arrives. They ask all the basic questions: What was taken, can you describe the person to Smeargle Sketch Artist, etc.
