In response to the questions for my second character.
1) bruh, you have like 20 apps with multiples from some of them, I feel like missing one or two makes sense lol.
2) & 3) Well, Aura reading isn't quite mind reading, it's more like I'm able to read people's mood ring, but on top of moods, I can also get a good idea whether or not people are lying. It's also not constant, it does require activation, so he does turn it off if something is bothering him. That being said, I'm sure Esprit has had a number of times when he could read disturbing auras from people. He's likely a bit paranoid about human nature, and may keep people at arms reach until he can get a good read on their consistent emotional state
As for when he's been able to read people's actual feelings towards him, he's often disheartened by them. It's not just the fact that people often find him cold or creepy, it's the fact that his friends don't seem to tell him about it, when it's clearly bothering them. I wouldn't say if something happened where like his best friend actually hated him, he wouldn't know how to approach it, and so he'd keep it to himself. I bet it makes him a bit paranoid
4) DOCTORS ARE HORRIFYING!! WHEN HE WAS YOUNG AND THE DOCTOR SAID HE WOULDN'T FEEL A THING, THE AURA SAID DOC WAS LYING, WHICH MADE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE ALL THE MORE TERRIFYING!!! Also, the doctor always gives him crap about trying to gain more muscle and stuff, and that's all just a real hassle
5)I should probably add this to the backstory, but I'll feel this answer out here. At Virizion, he's generally content. Still a bit of a social vampire; he won't be a part of a conversation unless invited in, but he does his best to not intrude into people's auras. Though his best is not very strong. He's often subject to his own curiosity. Should he encounter something like a girlfriend taking advantage of his friend, then he would talk to the girl first, say he knows exactly what's going on (at this point he would also likely have some evidence to support his claim). He'd tell her to break it off with the guy like she just couldn't handle how great he was, and never speak to him again, and threaten that if she didn't, he'd give the evidence to said boyfriend.

1. What's his parents like? Job, parenting approach and so on. - His father has a job as an accountant that he hates. He's emotionally distant and only ever has something positive to say to Tel about pokemon training, but even then makes it about him via comparisons to his (limited) experience. He dropped out of Cobalion College due to low academic grades. His mother successfully graduated Cobalion but lost her licence after a few years because she focused on strong pokemon with independent streaks that she couldn't keep control of (Feraligatr, Aggron, etc). She's a micromanager and believes that being harsh on Tel will make him good at disciplining (and thus controlling) his pokemon. She is an office temp and never lasts long due to her controlling nature.
2. From what I read, he seems reluctant in pursuing the career. What will he be if he is free to choose any career, unburdened by anything in the world? And why is his parents' agenda for pushing him down this road? - If he'd been left alone to develop and learn like a normal kid he'd probably be looking into becoming a teacher at primary school or something involved with the outdoors. As is he intends to only be a professional trainer for a short while, expecting to build up his credentials but not find any huge success. After a few years, assuming he's satisfied weith his achievements, he'd start looking at othe rpokemon related careers - becoming a teacher at Cobalion, or a professional breeder.
3. Explain the pathetic Occult edu. Is he afraid of ghost and choose to avoid these stuffs? Or he just simply isn't interested in them? Or he doesn't believe in all these mythical stuff, aside from Ghost Pokemon which factually exists? Or something else? - He doesn't really care for ghost type pokemon and thinks all the fanciful stories attached to them are false.

Added a bit more to Greg, also fixed a screw up on the skills, shoulda had Basic Skill: Poke Ed not Adept. Basically outside of Bugs he likes studying Pokemon (yes, specifically Bugs, but hes not against studying other neat Mons)

1. What sports(you did imply she switch sports) do she play in secondary school? How good is she? 2. How does her family finds out about her dancing talent? Has she been taking dancing classes when she's younger, and/or performed as a youth dancer before retreating from that side and dive into the world of sports? 3. Her parents are not divorced, right? Just in some kind of "I don't really care anymore but we are still husband and wife" stage? 4. What I get is that her mother side of family is pretty controlling and only wants her to pursuit a dancing career? What about his father? Does he care about Yuna at all, or he just visits once in a while because it's kind of a "father's duty" to make? 5. How's her relationship with her mother after the decision? 6. Has her family ever try to covince her to go to Keldeo? Since if she's at there, there is a chance she might still be doing some dancing. 1. "Ummmm... Well, pretty much all the sports clubs at school asked me to help them at some point or 'nother as a sub, but the ones I really liked? Lessee, that'd be basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, tennis, swimming, baseball, track, badminton, soccer (aka football), aaaaaaaand rowing for a month. Too bad that club had to shut down 'cause there wasn't enough interest. I kept telling everyone that I just wanna have fun playing in all of 'em, but they kept saying that I should've joined this club or that club 'cause it was a waste of talent or something like that, but that'd meant I couldn't do that anymore! I don't care about being the center or the home run hitter or winning a medal or trophy. What's wrong with just having fun trying your best?" 2. "Yeah, so my mom's side of the family owns the famous Johto dance theater in New Ecruteak, right? Well, they kinda have a rule 'bout making all the girls start learning the traditional dance when they're five years old. Yeah, that's right, five, and Granny was super strict 'bout it too. 'parently the adults got it into their heads that I have the perfect everything for it 'cept the hair and skin, not that they'd ever say that in front of me, so they kept pestering me to practice my dancing every day for hours after school, and it's not like I'm bad at it, I guess, but you gotta admit it's crazy to force a little kid to stand there into the night, practicing the same motions over and over and over until they're ready to cry. I don't know how my cousins got through it. In the end, Mom said she wouldn't make me continue after grade school, and I haven't since. Granny almost threw her out after hearing that, but they made up, I think..." 3. "Dad and Mom still really really really love each other, but Dad has to work way too much... Mom would be so much happier if he could come home more often, I just know it! ... Actually, Dad has asked Mom to take me and her to Nova Grandis all the way back since when I was in grade school, but Mom didn't want to leave behind the dance theater, New Ecruteak, and her entire family. She'd lived here all her life, ya know? I can't blame her for that." 4a. "Mom's side of the family... Well, let's just say that almost everyone's who's still around is here 'cause they want to be. Maybe it's 'cause of the dance theater, but the entire family feels like they're stuck in the past, personality and all. Yeah, even Mom, but at least she knows it's not all positive. Anyone else who didn't like it has already left, if they could. One of my guy cousins cooks for the restaurant, but he's secretly miserable and I can't stand it. As for me, my aunts and uncles have given up on getting me to go back to dancing - Mom swore by Giratina that if they tried to bully me back to it, she'd murder them in their sleep, and she gets almost as scary as Granny when she's angry, so they stopped really quickly. That hasn't stopped Granny in her old age, and sometimes I'll put on a kimono and dance just for her, but I don't think she's told anyone I do, so it's our little secret." 4b. "Me and Dad are like best friends! I think he calls me almost as much as he calls Mom, which is a whole ton! I like to text him about the latest professional battles since he can't spend much time looking up the news on the internet in the middle of the woods, and he sends me so many awesome photos of all the pokemon he researches, with a little bit of trivia on each one. The last one he sent was a Joltik, and did you know that even though they're electric type, they can't make their own electricity so they attach themselves to bigger pokemon to absorb their static electricity? It's kinda cute! And whenever he comes home, Mom lets us have at least one night to watch a pokemon battle marathon, sometimes contests too. That's why I wish just as much as Mom that he could always be home, but working for the Tower of Babel means he's always busy trying to make sure trainers' pokemon can be as happy as possible. I really respect him for that." 5. "Mom wasn't excited when I told her I didn't wanna dance anymore, but she knew I wasn't getting any happier going to practice either, so she didn't push it. I think more than anything, she was disappointed that I didn't enjoy it since that was her life for so many years. I still love my Mom though, and I hope she understands that by now." 6. "After Dad brought up going to Virizion, some of my aunts and uncles mentioned Keldeo too, but even they didn't agree on that, since it was so far away and pokemon contests seemed like a joke to them. Granny was and still is stubborn about the 4 Schools in general, so she never agreed with going to them to begin with. Mom managed to convince them that if I was gonna go to any of the schools, Virizion would be the safest choice, since it's so close to home and that's where Dad went. They kinda grumbled but couldn't say anything against that, especially nothing to her face without making her furious. I like Virizion kids anyway, they seem like interesting people, at least the ones I've seen around town do."

At the time of posting, there are about six hours to go until application ends. However, as I am working slower as expected - like darn, I am still doing a lot of the examination work on contest houserules, which Pokedex to use and so - I will be allowing twelves hours of "grace period". In this so called "grace period" that lasts till 1159 GMT August 11, people who have posted an application(or more) can still work on said application(s). If anyone havs a WIP sheet, please post them before 2359 August 10 and you can still work on them in "grace period".
Also, for players that have not answered their first questionnaire, you have until the end of "grace period" to answer them or you are automatically out. This rule is ignored for those who have not have questionnaires for them yet or are on more than one questionnaire. These players have all the time to answer their questionnaire. I might ask further question after I go through all the sheets again after "grace period".
All the houserules, starting item choice and what not will be available after player selection.

I don't know how to tag people... sorry!
1. The north side of the region is pretty warm. She would be coming from the south side of the region.
Got it, I actually originally wanted her to be from some southern, south pole/lower argentina-type area but I wasn't sure if this region had a southern cold area. I will update it.
2. So, she is a single mom by 17. Tell me more about this whole thing. Who's the guy, how she meet him and what not.
I added it to the background, but basically she met him in college, he lived very far away from her so when she moved back to her hometown to take care of her baby, he continued school. He ended up becoming a prominent trainer (left it open in case you want to make him enter the campaign as a boss / mentor at some point).
3. While the schools don't mind older students, how is she with her much younger classmates? How does she deal with the generation gap and what not? How is she percepted by them?
She is a little insecure about being older so she always puts in extra effort. Especially when it comes to physical endurance and other things that become harder once you are older; she always makes sure that she isn't seen as weaker or lesser because of her age. The younger students respect her for being able to do the same things they do at her age. She can relate to them because most of the students at Terrakion are hardworking and come from similar hardships as her.
4. She graduated by secondary school on 15. So she has to be attending something when she's 17, what is her attending? If it's a Pokemon school, you will have to elaborate on her return and what not.
Oh, I got confused about the timeline of when you go to school. I changed it so she first went to Cobalion college because she was interested in getting the best strategies possible and becoming one of the best trainers, but then she decided to go to Terrakion, because she felt it fit with her underdog story and the hardships she's had to overcome.

Infynis Jessica NNQ1. Now I see the pathetic survival. Keldeo is the most rural of all school, and Jessica looks to be an environmental guardian. So, my take is that she loves wild but she doesn't have a lot of experience in the wild, aside from school classes. What's your take? I mean, it's kinda funny if she is all about the wild and so but she can't for her life know how to make a tent. Arcran Dale Ticker NQ1. What's your fluff for low guile? As a guy who did a lot of minor crimes and so, shouldn't guile be something he is at least decent at? amillaiara 1. You join the gifted individual school and Pokemon academy by 15. You can read more on "Education in Varius" but the main thing is that people in Pokeverse are pretty smart and secondary education are done by 15. 15-18 is tertiary education, equivalent of university and college on Earth. So, if you are joining the school by 18, you will have to explain what's he doing on 15-18. Or just move his age 3 years forward and have him at 18. 2. What's his parents like? How do they react to their son being a monster? Is he the only child? 3. How is he like or treated in the college? It's a place where weirder things can happen and people are more acceptable of weirdos. Has he make friends or what not? lichlord 1. You might have to elaborate on how she gets her Pokeball. Shops are not allowed to sell trainer items to non-trainers. For instance, all pet Pokemon are without a Pokeball. They just stay outside 100% of the time with their owner. Pokeball, in particular, is something that shops take extra caution on because it helps illegal pouching a lot. The easiest way is probably that she get them from her brothers. Or maybe her parents have something to do with the Pokemon manufacturing process. Or she get them from the black market after garnering some reputation as a jailbreaker and doing some works for the folks out there. 2. I would imagine she would have better guile or charm, either one of those, to run her alter ego well. I personally lean on guile. Like, it's not the real her, so when she acts as Iver, she has to act unlike herself, that's very Guile-intensive IMO. 3. Just want to be 100% sure, what's her favorite class? 4. From what I read, her two brothers have basically gone off and have done zero contact with the family after getting into the league? 5. What's her feeling toward Pokemon as a whole? It seems that she is quite neutral on them and she looks at this whole thing as a mission more than anything else. SeyaI pinged your wrong on page 4. 2. I used to be very stubborn on this but I am trying to be more easy on this, which means you would get a pass normally. However, you did mention he planned to make multiple video calls weekly with his wife, which give me the impression that he is kind of used to these stuffs. Or he is just trying to learn it now? 3. *Cranking up Wingull encouter rate 10 times* NQ1. Is there any flying Pokemon that Elliana dislikes? And let's count Wingull out for this, you have done enough damage to their feelings. NQ2. Being an older student, how is he like with the younger generation around him in school? NQ3. He seems to have very high interest in the badges, why so? A fan of other regions' badge system?

For one, I find it a bit of an amusing dichotomy, but there is a bit more to it. There's a difference between being an environmentalist and being a survivalist. Her goal is to protect the environment, but she wants to do it more through journalism. She's not the type of person to go out and actually stop forest fires herself. She's better equipped to catch and expose criminals, leaving the natural disasters to people like Pokemon Rangers. She does have a green thumb, but she's not the kind of person that could build a shelter, set snares, and find fresh water when stranded in the wilderness. She'd probably twist her ankle after fifteen minutes and fall into a crevasse. It's basically the divide between hippie and hiker. She's pretty used to having things like a laptop at hand. Even back in Irisdew, her family weren't farmers, but shopkeepers.

Or she get them from the black market after garnering some reputation as a jailbreaker and doing some works for the folks out there. Hmmm. Point. Would it be too much to say that there's some sort of 'training' ball for her to work on? Like a non-working ball as part of a kit for those that wish to build balls or apricorn balls. Like those starter electronic kits you can get, but for the pokemon world. And then maybe as she got older, she'd do some work for actual trainers on their balls. 2. I would imagine she would have better guile or charm, either one of those, to run her alter ego well. I personally lean on guile. Like, it's not the real her, so when she acts as Iver, she has to act unlike herself, that's very Guile-intensive IMO. I suppose your right, I'll change it. I was trying to do Intimidate because it's tied to the tough branch, and I was going to explain it away as Iver almost being a little frightening like it was a freak show, but I'll change it. I just didn't really see Elisa as a kind of person to be tricky in any way. 3. Just want to be 100% sure, what's her favorite class? I'd assume that in a place like Cobalion it'd be a class with a name like 'Climate Advantage and Defense' or something. Basically the reason she has Climatology, but warping it to her own needs. In Cobalion, it'd be a purely numbers thing. What advantages and disadvantages of each weather, what to do when you are at a disadvantage, etc. It'd be a bit different compared to if the class was in Virizion, where it'd probably be a full strategy rather than 'this is a weapon in your arsenal' kind of thing Cobalion would do. 4. From what I read, her two brothers have basically gone off and have done zero contact with the family after getting into the league? That's correct. 5. What's her feeling toward Pokemon as a whole? It seems that she is quite neutral on them and she looks at this whole thing as a mission more than anything else.
That's pretty on the dot. She's more or less had little (if at all) interaction with them. And because of her self-imposed lonesome upbringing, she hasn't really had much of a chance to know how pokemon are like. But it's not like she's unkind. When she gets one, she'd probably eventually be friends after they both get to know each other. (She'd be practically starving for a friend at this point!) Depending on the pokemon's disposition, of course. I feel like once she's been with them for a bit, she'll like having pokemon and training them once she's exposed enough.

NQ1. Is there any flying Pokemon that Elliana dislikes? And let's count Wingull out for this, you have done enough damage to their feelings. She's probably not as much fan of the ones that can't fly or don't have notable wings to do so (i.e., Dodrio, Gyarados). This doesn't mean she actively dislikes them, just that she much prefers the true flying ones. I suppose she also likes pokemon that can fly but aren't flying-type. NQ2. Being an older student, how is he like with the younger generation around him in school?Briefly answered this-- he doesn't associate with them too much. He spends more time talking to the professors than socializing with students. He doesn't seem himself as better than them by any means, he's just not up to date with teenage interests and can't wrap his head around some of the electronics they're constantly going on about! He'd be eager to work with other students if given the opportunity but won't go out of his way to socialize outside class. He just heads home to be with his family. NQ3. He seems to have very high interest in the badges, why so? A fan of other regions' badge system? The badges in Varius strike me as more of puzzle-solving and perhaps some skill challenges in lieu of battling. He's not against battling, but he prides himself on being able to come up with solutions using his smarts, his body, and his common sense. Anything that makes you come at a challenge from an unusual direction is of particular interest to him. I don't think he would have paid much attention to the badge systems in other regions, though, unless they were puzzle-based (he'd like Alola).

Overdue questionnaire questions ahoy! Thankfully, there weren't many around for me.
1. Would be interesting to know more about Lars than the sibling rivalry, like what makes him into a fitness nut and a dietitian. Is his family has this level of health awareness or just him? And so on. I mean, sibling rivalry is good and all, but I don't have much to ask just from that.
Lars's interest in the physical body and how it can be improved was spurred by an initial encounter with his mother watching and following along on aerobic exercise videos while he was still a wee tyke. Already a hyperactive, inquisitive three-year old, watching his mother exercise stirred up some curiosity within him, about what she was doing and why she was doing it. This curiosity caused him to pursue fitness activities when he was old enough, which gradually extended to include most aspects of personal health as he got older and his view on life broadened (aside from his somewhat sour attitude, which also impacts a person's health; he is, however, currently working on that). As his secondary education finished and he began to move into the workforce, jobs around personal fitness and health were, as one may expect, a natural fit to his skill set, so he naturally gravitated to them. Being an instructor in exercise routine and nutrition also gives Lars a way to bring his worldview to others in a way that his family would not normally care too much about.
His family is not particularly entranced by the idea of fitness and personal health regime, no more than most people. Lars is unique in that regard. His parents were actually fairly worried that Lars would have difficulties since his interests and attitudes were so asymmetrical compared to that of his siblings (all who are terrible eaters, although they are all reasonably fit and active, as training Pokemon is, in itself, often an arduous task). Unfortunately, this prediction turned out to be partly true.
Perhaps a reason he is so dead set focused on this one aspect of his life is that he models his lifestyle after those of his siblings. A large part of his life was spent with them, and they've had the most impact in his life out of all the people he's known, and it's very difficult for him to compare himself to anything else. Not to mention he's insecure about being compared to his siblings The only real difference is where the obsession lies; to his siblings, it is on the battlefield, whereas Lars's is not. I realize that this is, once again, pointing towards the sibling rivalry bit you mentioned, but it really is a large part of Lars's life and why he is where he is today.
I mentioned cooking as one of his hobbies. The culinary arts offered an interesting means for Lars to self-express, something his main set of interests don't really do. Although he is not to any real stretch artistic, the preparation and presentation of well-cooked, tasty food provides him with a certain primal sense of satisfaction, especially when cooking for others. Not to mention the consumption of something fulfilling and tasty (of which he strives to have all his dishes be) is also satisfying, especially after a long training session. Cooking additionally offers something properly social he can share with others. Lars, although amicable and charming enough sometimes, tends to get a bit awkward when trying to socialize with others, as his breadth of knowledge is a bit lacking, giving him a bit of difficulty starting conversations. Once they get rolling, however, he has an easier time of it. Cooking gives him something to do when conversation lulls, and, more importantly, gives him an easy icebreaker with which to get conversations going.
This segways into another, less conscious reason that Lars decided to set off on his own Pokemon journey. In the overall theme of self-improvement he has going on, he's trying to fix his flaws to make him better; now that his physical body is largely at peak performance, he's trying to shift his focus to improve his mental, emotional, and social disposition. After all, if a healthy body is a healthy mind, then a healthy mind is also a healthy body! Right? Regardless, adventures such as those are generally accompanied by personal growth and insight, which is exactly what Lars is looking for right now... even if he's not entirely aware of it.
2. Is he a fan of any sport aside from Pokemon Battle and triathlon? Or he is more of a exercise and fitness guy?
Lars personally doesn't believe Pokemon battling to be a true sport, at least as far as humans are concerned. "Sport" involves the direct competition between two people, and Pokemon battling is too indirect to count.
Triathlon is his favourite, holding variety within itself while being almost directly geared to Lars's main strengths, as already said. Baseball is another favourite, in an almost meditative way, due to it's somewhat slow, relaxed pace. Lars enjoys soccer and basketball, but struggles at performing well at them, as he's not the greatest team player, and is a bit reckless as well. Anything involving lots of running, or in some cases swimming, is bound to entertain Lars, with him preferring solo or single-partner sports over direct team sports. This viewpoint may, of course, change over time.
3. Just a heads up that I will need more info on your sibling rivals if you get in.
As was expected. There will be a more detailed writeup on Lars's family provided if it should it be required.

RE: Dale
Dale is good at actually doing the crime. He can hop a fence, pickpocket somebody, ect, but if he gets stuck talking he's in trouble. Chip was always the motormouth that got them out of trouble, and Dale never really learned those talents because of it. If it seems implausible to you, I'm happy to switch it, I just think a criminal/barkeep that can't really lie all that well is a rather entertaining concept.

2. What's his parents like? How do they react to their son being a monster? Is he the only child?
Lets work in reverse; I thought I said he was an only child somewhere in the first paragraph, so I'll just reiterate that he is. I think that they truthfully still love him, and the cash that he brought in the year he went solely to the Gifted Institute probably helped as well as knowing that he would have a solid career choice as he grew older as a cop, military personnel, or even as a referee in the tournament matches. I think his parents are both caring if a little distant since they would probably have given him the love of growing things as well as healing others. I see his Dad probably working at the nearby hospital while his mom runs a small Berry Farm, or just a small farm, that she sells to the local mart.
3. How is he like or treated in the college? It's a place where weirder things can happen and people are more acceptable of weirdos. Has he make friends or what not?
I think he is mostly antisocial, most people probably wouldn't know him well enough to form an opinion on him. Those in the botany/gardening club he would be close friends with him, and they would think of him as a great help, as well as a great friend even if he was a strong silent type most of the time. Although to how he was treated, probably a lot better than what he knew growing up.

MagisterSphinxNQ1. Don't even know how I miss this. As he is a Bug Ace, I would like some detail as to how he connects to the Bug type or whatever in the background. Does he like them? Or he don't even know why but these freaking Bugs tend to stick to him, and what not.

Not only does this allow them to grow stronger faster, but each of their forms tend to have different strategies, forcing him to adapt as they evolve and thus become more versatile. They also come in a wide variety of types and can be found in almost any habitat.

First and foremost, thank you all for the great characters and taking the time to answer all my questionnaires. Like building a Pokemon team, there are so many pairs I can take, I have spent the last day running simulation on my head on how all the pairing will do and what kind of stories I can tell with them throughout the campaign. I am very tempted to take five but commitment has bite my ass before, especially in a solo-oriented game like this one. So, I decided to take four and the combination I am going with is: Infynis' Marcus Redmont seraphflonne's Stella Versa headlesskoko's Bonnie Versa sandsofazorin's Yuan Silvanti Accepted players can join the new chat: Clickie. The others will be put in reserve as potential replacement.
