"Well, arent you a sneaky monkey," half of Orin's mouth curled in a smile as he held of the berry, "thank you, but you found it, so this time, you go ahead and eat it."
Without hesitation he threw it up into the air, and lazily tilted his head back to catch and eat it. Orin offered an are for Aipom to crawl up and pirch, but the monkey refused. Despite not climbing aboard, the little fella strode along with the group, at least for now.
"I though about it, and I'd lIke to call your Bandit, how does that sound?"
Aipom and Orin crossed gazes, the monkey, literally chewed it over, swollowed, and nodded once.
"OK Bandit, welcome to the team!"
(OOC: they jump in the air, freeze frame, credits. Cue announcer: "looks like the team has made some new friends, and after getting out of a sticky situation, what wI'll befall or heros next? And will Skylar's hair every be the same? Find out next time on... POKEMON DEVOLUTION!")

"Bandit, eh? Fitting name. I remember he stole a school project from me once, hid it up in that tree." Jamie looks over at Speedy, before recalling him into his Pokeball and sending out Spike instead. "Good job today, Speedy, you deserve a bit of a break. Spike, you ready for your-" She stops and looks closer at Spike, before turning to Skylar, beaming. "Wow, I can practically see myself in Spike's horn! You really cleaned her up earlier, she's even cuter than when I caught her!"

"Oh right, I forgot you caught the town mascot." Skylar said factually as he gave a look over at the Aipom, muttering something to himself. He had cross paths with the monkey several times in his young life, and he would never forgive him for 'the incident' regarding the time he made a casserole. But that was neither the time or the place to bring up old grudges. His gaze turned back to Jamie as she commented on the clean, glistening horn. He gave a warm smile back to her as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well I couldn't do much beside clean up her horn, so it should keep that glisten for roughly a day or so~"

Skylar shrugged, if they wanted to go into the grass that would be fine with him.

"Come on, guys, it's grass. When was the last time someone found something interesting in it? I'm almost starting to run out of balls, so the sooner we can get to Beginner Springs, the better in my opinion. We can always double back later, right?"

The grass in question would play witness to this argument, a ratata darting into it from the road, vanishing rapidly from sight. If memory served, they where about a mere mile of twisting roadway away from the next town.

"I'm going in for a closer look," Orin moved to the commotion in the grass, to see what was going down. Rook followed dutifully, Bandit trailed lazily.

TazukieThe Sentreet would look back, a few skittering away, others staying put, the smaller pokemon in the grass foraging about, caterpi grazing, ratata digging, and stalking and scavenging, but all kept a decent ways away from the forest's edge, which would loom out above at the end of the small field.

Returning to the others, "seems lIke more of the same, some Sentret, bUT nothing seems to be agressing. We can always come back like you said Jamie, if we're in the mood to kick some butt."
Patting Rook on the head, avoiding the blade, "let get to town."

Skylar nodded, finally putting away the last of his grooming stuff. "Considering how much traffic a Pokemon Center gets per day, I'd be grateful for something to eat. Granted, I'll likely try and spice it up with some pepper and basil." He commented, taking one last look of his surroundings.

infomantisAs you continue down the path, you notice something seems off, or, more accurately, smells off, like the smell of years-old trash, long since decomposed and washed by the rain, coming from the road ahead, though the path itself is clear.

Jamie slows down, then stops as the first whiff of the rank aroma hits her nose. "Geeze, that smells awful! What in the heck is that?" Spike appear to be affected by the smell too, crawling up on Jamie and burying her nose into her shirt to cover it. "It smells like it's been there for ages, but this road gets used pretty often, right? That means it has to be a recent thing, whatever it is. Might want to be careful, guys."

"What are you talking about, I don't smell any-" he sniffed the air, "nope, juse smells lIke dirt."
Tapping his nose in thought, "Thanks for the heads up, i guess. You really think it's trouble?"
Jamie didn't seem to be joking, maybe she cold sMell a theat evendors if Oring coulden't. To Rook and Bandit,"OK, you heard her, be on guard, could be something, could be nothing."
Rook went blade to hip, tilted his head and lifted a eye to Jamie suspiciously. He was emitting a bit of sas, but was diligent and didn't mind much being in attack mode.
Bandit was much less enthused about taking guard, doubtfull of any threat, bease he couldnt hear one. Despite being displeased by the idea of work, Bandit's eyes still surveyed his surroundings just incase he was wrong. He fell back from the group, if there were to be some sort of cluster attack, let them take the string shot.

Skylar had a look of confusion Jamie began to make a commotion regarding some sort of smell. He began to sniff the air a bit, before remaining motionless for a few seconds. "... I don't smell anything, maybe you just got a whiff of bad air?" He suggested with the same confused look, before peaking over to Scuttle to see if she had anything to offer. She merely just shook a bit on his shoulder.
Still, it didn't hurt to be careful. With a nod, he brought out Coatli and proceed on ahead cautiously.

With Jamie's warning, the party avoids being caught off-guard by the two trubbish, which leap out from the tall grass on the side of the road, blocking the way forward. They look starved, and desperate, the trashbags they are made from looking thin and decrepit Unlike the usual of there kind, there was almost no scent from them, but now that they where no trying to hide it, it was much more clear, if not incredibly weak.

In their own odd little way, the Trubbish were cute, and them being so distressed seemed sad. Orin slowly approached, and sat down before them, swinging his pack into his lap. Eyeing the newcomers, Rook stepped forward, blades raised and on guard. "It's alright Rook, stand down," he winked, "but stay sharp."
With one hand, Orin rummaged through his pack, pulling out a jar of baby food. He unscrewed the cap, went to put it back into his bad to dispose of later, then thought, maybe they'd like to eat this sort of thing too. Unsure of what trash bag pokemon found appealing, Orin poured some of the food into the lid, and set the jar (and lid) of food down before the two meek Trubbish. "It's OK, have a snack, looks like you've been having a rough time."

As he spoke, he calmly pulled out an empty pokeball and set it beside him and once again revealed empty hands to the two newcomers.·2d6

Both the trubbish would advance, cautiously, eyeing the food. They would visibily strain a little, before one would hiss it's mistrust, while the other would make a break for the food, setting upon both the jar and lid in a voracious hunger. It was suitably distracted now.
